This is a review of a event at Sapporo Daimaru. My wife bought some high-end Italian wafer cookies during the White Day period. I had tried them before and found the taste to be average. However, I remember enjoying the Maritozzo with its elegant cream filling from a previous event at Sapporo Marui Imai. This time, we purchased the Vienezzi which cost over 400 yen per piece. They are considered high-end chocolate wafers and the taste is quite good. I realized that I had tried a similar flavor in a smaller size before. Each of the 6 pieces has a different flavor, but my favorite was the pistachio. They are delicious, so I will probably buy them again when I crave them. Thank you for the meal!

I received a request from my son and his wife in Gunma to gift them BABBI's wafers. I found out that BABBI only has two stores in the Kanto region, at Matsuya Ginza and Takashimaya Tamagawa. I decided to visit the Matsuya Ginza store with my wife in late November. The store was surprisingly small but had a variety of wafers to choose from. After much consideration, I purchased the following for gifts: 1) Grand Waffelini Set (14 pieces) for 4,866 yen, which included pistachio, vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, hazelnut, lemon, and caramel flavors. 2) Viennese Assortment (9 pieces) for 3,564 yen, with vanilla, pistachio, chocolate, coffee, white pistachio, and white coffee flavors. 3) Bonbon Set (6 pieces) for 1,296 yen, with pistachio, hazelnut, chocolate, and zabaglione flavors. For myself, I bought the Waffelini (190g) for 3,780 yen, with pistachio and vanilla flavors. The wafers were light and crispy, with delicious cream fillings. Despite the slightly high price, they were a delightful treat.

This is an old-established Italian wafer and sweets specialty store. They participated in the nationwide delicious food festival in Toyama Daiwa. They had a variety of wafers, as well as three types of Maritozzo and various pistachio sweets. "BABBI" is a long-established dessert brand that was founded in 1952 as a "gelato cone factory" in Cesena, Emilia-Romagna, northern Italy! It is operated in Japan by "Regalino Co., Ltd.", and some stores also sell gelato, but this one is a "waffle & sweets specialty store". Since it is an imported product from Italy, there are several products with a considerable price range, and I purchased the following item! Babino Set 1080 yen [Hazelnut, Pistachio, Chocolate, Lemon] This is a set of Vienna wafers with fine cream sandwiched between them and covered in chocolate, made into bite-sized pieces for easy consumption, with a mix of the above four flavors. Being a store founded as a "gelato cone factory," the wafers are quite delicious, and the chocolate likely uses couverture for its smooth melting texture. At 250 yen per piece in this size, it is a product that would make me very happy if received as a gift (^.^) Thank you for the meal.

The wafer I tried was completely different from any other wafer I've had before - it was so crispy and crunchy! A pack of 2 wafers costs a little over 300 yen, but the difference from the wafers sold in stores is something you must taste. The thin, crispy wafer combined with the smooth and delicious cream creates an elegant texture. Although it may be a bit pricey for personal use, it could make a great gift that will be appreciated.

In 2020, I chose this Christmas cake☆ It's irresistible for pistachio lovers, with a rich flavor❣️ The sponge part is moist like a financiers, with chopped pistachios in the whipped cream, and raspberry jam to balance the taste. It was so delicious✨ I usually like BABBI's wafers, but their cakes are also amazing. I would love to try it again if I have the chance☆

Today's snack was a variety of flavored wafers. Both the preschooler and my elementary school daughter loved them from the cute packaging. Inside were creams of vanilla, strawberry, chocolate, caramel, and pistachio. As expected from traditional wafers, they were crispy and light, and all the creams had a delicate sweetness that was very delicious. When I go out to eat delicious food with my friend M in the Ginza area, we always make a routine patrol of Matsuya and the Mitsukoshi basement. During our patrol, I often see M purchasing something here. I know very well about M's ability to detect delicious food, so I have thought about buying it myself a few times, but I haven't. Because it's a wafer. Wafer just has this image of the Showa era. It reminds me of those not-so-delicious parfaits from the Showa era with a thick layer of sugary cream that sucks up all the moisture. This day, I was wandering around Matsuya basement alone and decided to buy it on a whim. I bought one of each of the 5 flavors: vanilla, pistachio, caramel, lemon, and chocolate from Gran Waffelini. They are quite high-end wafers. Each one costs 324 yen. I don't want to talk about the cost performance of sweets, but wafers are thin and dry, right? (Sorry for being rude to wafers, haha) But, it must be delicious. Because M bought it. (M is strong.) Review: Wafers are wafers. But what's delicious is the cream. Wafers are carriers for the cream. I liked the lemon and pistachio flavors more than the common vanilla or chocolate. Uncommon flavors have more impact and taste better. Once you open the bag, they all look the same, but the bag is cute so it's good for gifts too. The expiration date seems quite long. Also, the nutritional information is clearly stated on the back. I've attached a photo of it. Despite being so thin, it seems to be over 100 kcal. Well, it's because of the delicious cream. There was a commercial that said, "Delicious things are made of fat and sugar." It's delicious, so it can't be helped.

I visited the Italian exhibition and was drawn to the appearance of the soft serve ice cream. BABBI seems to be a specialty store for Italian-born wafers and sweets. I often wandered around Matsuya Ginza store, but I didn't know about BABBI because I had never been inside. Pistachio & Chocolate 540 yen: The chocolate flavor is stronger than the pistachio. The chocolate soft serve is very rich and delicious. The pistachio soft serve has a gentler flavor, and when eaten together with the chocolate, the pistachio flavor may not be very noticeable. The wafer on top had the letters BABBI on it. The cone was also wafer-like and tasty. In addition to wafers and soft serve ice cream, they also sold sweets made with pistachio, such as chestnut and pistachio omelette for 648 yen and Basque pistachio cake for 2160 yen. They were expensive but looked delicious.

I went to Ginza Matsuya for the first time in a while. I was planning to buy chocolates from other chocolate makers, but when I saw the rare Bvlgari chocolates, I decided to switch to buying them instead. My favorite from Bvlgari is the Babbino Limone (lemon) inside the wafer (Gran Waffelini). They sell them individually, so I bought a few lemon ones as a treat, along with the Bonbon Chocolat milk and pistachio flavors. The pistachio flavor from Bvlgari is rich and recommended for pistachio lovers. Currently, they are also selling gelato, with pistachio being a popular choice. From July 2nd, they will be selling a limited edition set of baked goods in-store, so Bvlgari fans should definitely check it out! Thank you for the delicious treats!

Why didn't I eat this before?! My concept of wafer has changed! Instead of the regular size, I tried the mini size ones. They are crispy on the outside but the cream inside is moist, creating a perfect harmony. Each flavor has its own unique personality and they are all incredibly delicious. Not just the typical chocolate flavors, but also pistachio and lemon which were really good. These flavors are only available in mini size and not in the larger Viennese wafers. They are a bit pricey but I definitely want to try them again.

Recommended Menu: Grand Waffelini Set with 4 pieces. Price: 1,620 yen. Impression: BABBI's popular wafers. Despite their thin size, they have a rich taste. The soft and gentle texture is very pleasant. The highlight is the hazelnuts. The balance between the subtle sweetness and strong presence is exquisite! Definitely worth a try!

Connected directly from Ginza Station, there is a chocolate shop in the souvenir street on the basement floor of Matsuya Ginza. It is an Italian company that makes delicious chocolate wafers. The wafers in the Waffelini can are crispy, with a smooth and sweet chocolate coating. The Babbi Bambino Limone is a lemon-flavored chocolate wafer coated with white chocolate, creating a refreshing and enjoyable taste. I preferred the Limone over the chocolate.

I first went to BABBI next to Komazawa Park. Since then, I have loved their delicious treats and occasionally buy them. However, this time, I tried BABBI's soft serve ice cream for the first time. The chocolate flavor was rich, not too sweet, and even the cone was delicious.

I had soft serve ice cream at a department store event♡ I ate it with a light heart, but it turned out to be unexpectedly authentic!! The chocolate was not too sweet and the caramel was rich and amazing. It had a truly authentic taste♡ It was delicious!! I'm so impressed. I want to eat it again.

The fine cream sandwich wafer and the harmony of the chocolate coating are excellent! It looks cute and I received it as a souvenir. I became a fan since I first tried it over 10 years ago and was impressed♡ I used to associate wafers with children's snacks or those that come with ice cream, but my perception has completely changed!! I love Waffelini, Bambino, and Bonbon, but my favorite is Vienesse♡ Especially the pistachio coated with white chocolate, I love it♡ I already loved pistachios, and whenever I see a pistachio cake at a bakery, I can't help but buy it, but many of them lack flavor despite the color. However, BABBI's pistachio has a rich flavor and aroma, very satisfying♡ I also bought the pistachio paste that I've been curious about♪ When I opened the lid, it had a nice pistachio scent♡ It was more viscous than I expected. Looking at the ingredients, you can see that plenty of pistachios are used♡ I spread it on bread and tried it♡ It's rich and quite sweet♡ It goes well with coffee (#^^#) It seems like it can also be used in sweets♪ I want to try it with nut-filled baked goods or cocoa-flavored sponge cakes♪ I will continue to buy it in the future (#^^#)♪

I bought a wafer at Matsuya Ginza store. It seems to be called Gran Waffelini. Vanilla x2, Pistachio x2, Chocolate, Caramel, each 324 yen. It seems to be famous. It's the first time I've seen a wafer specialty store. Matsuya also has Pierre Marcolini and La Maison du Chocolat, which is amazing.
