I sometimes eat at the Tokyo Racecourse when I come. Today, I had a light meal with a hormone set. The beer had fine bubbles, and I could feel that it was properly cleaned. The hormone had a good texture and a strong flavor, very delicious! The beef tendon soup udon is also delicious. It's about the size of a cup noodle, but the broth is tasty and satisfying. My horse is running today. Please win!

The "KASUYA (加寿屋)" Tokyo Racecourse branch at the Fuji View Stand offers various types of KASUYA udon, including normal, beef tendon, and curry. They also serve beef tendon and hormone grilled rice bowls, as well as appetizers. The KASUYA udon, priced at 650 yen, comes in a vertically elongated cup noodle container with fried beef intestines (known as "kasu"), grated yam, and green onions in a foamy broth. The unique aroma and juicy texture of the kasu, fried in beef fat, add a special touch to the dish. The udon noodles are thick and chewy, providing a satisfying texture. Despite being served quickly like fast food, the KASUYA udon stands out with its distinctive and flavorful ingredients.

Kasuya Udon Kasuya Tokyo Racecourse Branch (inside Tokyo Racecourse) A place where you can enjoy the taste of Osaka that you saw on TV. Date: May 2023 (Sunday) Cloudy Lunch with my husband during horse racing around 12 o'clock (opens at 9 o'clock) About 5 groups waiting in line, the line continues to grow as more people join. <Order> (tax included) "Kasu Udon" I forgot to take notes <My impression> Taste preference: ★★★★☆ Atmosphere of the restaurant: ★★★☆☆ Customer service: ★★★☆☆ Cleanliness: ★★☆☆☆ <Customer base on the day> Groups of men and women, pairs of men and women, groups of men, men dining alone, etc. <Tweet> One of the restaurants I had my eye on for horse racing gourmet. I finally got to try the kasu udon that I was curious about. The udon has become softer as I look for a place to eat. Honestly, it's to my liking. The horumon has a good texture with no smell, and it's delicious enough to make you want more! The oboro kombu is gentle. And the soup has just the right amount of saltiness, leaving a clean taste without making my throat dry later. It was a very satisfying bowl...

I didn't know this place existed, it's amazing. Ever since I tried "nikusui" in Osaka at the end of last year, I've been fascinated by this type of food. The gentle broth flavor is so delicious and comforting. It would be even better if the oil residue were a bit larger, but maybe that's being too picky. It makes me want to try it in its home region. Personally, I think it would be perfect if they had an option without meat. Thank you for the meal.

When I went to the Tokyo Racecourse, I found a katsu udon restaurant. Katsu is deep-fried beef offal. The udon had katsu in it, which is a popular dish in Osaka. In Tokyo, there are two shops, one near the Tokyo Racecourse and another in Machida. The shop is quite popular, so you have to wait in line to order. I tried the beef offal katsu udon for 700 yen. After ordering, you wait in another line to pick up your food. After a short wait, it arrived! It came in a cup noodle-like container. The soup was quite oily, and the noodles were soft like Kansai-style udon. I really liked the taste of the soup! It felt more like drinking the soup than eating udon.

I started the day with determination and worked hard in my reserved seat, but by 3pm, I was feeling pretty defeated. To change my mood, I took a stroll around the racecourse. I stumbled upon Osaka's famous "katsu udon" at the Fuji View Stand on the second floor! What? "Eating leftovers to win the race!" So, I decided to try the katsu udon! I was getting hungry anyway, so I ordered the katsu udon for 600 yen. A beautiful lady quickly served me the katsu udon in a cup-like container with clear soup and fried pork cutlets. It's made from heating up leftover parts of beef intestines and fatty tissues, then removing the oil. I slurped up the hot udon in one go! Oh, the broth is delicious! Now, let's give it another try!

Originating from Osaka, this restaurant specializes in katsu udon. For those unfamiliar with the concept of "katsu" in Tokyo, I have written about it on my blog, so please refer to that for more information. The "Meat Topping Katsu Soba" costs 900 yen and the service was a bit slow due to being short-staffed. This menu item is exclusive to the Tokyo Racecourse. The toppings include beef, katsu, grated yam, and green onions. The presentation of the dish was lacking for the price of 900 yen. The broth had a clear Kansai-style flavor with a rich meaty taste. The katsu, which may be unfamiliar to those in Tokyo, added a unique and delicious element to the dish. Overall, despite the lack of recognition, this dish could be well-received in the Kanto region. However, the price of 900 yen may be considered too high. For more details, please visit my blog "Men no Susume".

In Kanto, you can try a type of udon that is not commonly seen, called "Kasu Udon". Highly recommended is the "Double Kasu Udon W" which has double the amount of kasu. The delicious broth combined with the flavor of offal will make you want to keep eating. Perfect for enjoying with horse racing.

Beef tendon katsu udon. When it comes to food at racecourses across Japan, Katsuya's Katsu Gyudon is the go-to choice. It may be lonely with the betting, but my stomach is satisfied. It's much appreciated to be able to enjoy Katsuya's katsu udon outside of Kansai.

I attended the autumn Tokyo races with a diligent attendance rate of about 80%. During one of the races, I decided to try "Kasu Udon" from a stand called "Kasu Udon" on the second floor of the Fuji View Stand. I ordered the Kasu Udon for 700 yen. The udon, which seemed to be frozen, was cooked in hot water and topped with broth and ingredients, all served in a large paper cup-like container. I added a lot of red pepper flakes and ate it standing at a table in the aisle. The thick oily soup had a sweet and greasy taste. The udon noodles were firm, but not particularly chewy. The topping was "kasu," which is fried beef offal in oil. It had a unique taste that was a bit overwhelming. I found myself searching for the small pieces of konjac in the soup, as they provided a nice balance. The portion size was adequate, and despite the small paper container, the udon was filling. The stand was not crowded, which was a plus. Overall, the Kasu Udon may not be for everyone, but it could be considered a unique B-class gourmet option at the Tokyo Racecourse.

I love it. A refreshing yuzu-flavored soup with a hint of sweetness, yet it contains collagen from tendon, and the udon noodles have a nice texture. Even though you can find Kansai-style udon in Tokyo, nothing beats the abundance of tendon found in Osaka!

I love katsu udon. I never expected to encounter it at the racecourse. However, I had already eaten mapo tofu, so I decided to pass on it. Instead, I opted for a great deal on a beer set. I chose the set with horumon (offal) grill. It cost 1100 yen! Even though it's racecourse prices, it's still expensive, right? But it's a good deal for a set. The horumon was tender and reminded me of Kotetsu. The sweet and salty sauce was plentiful, making it quite salty. It became a bit tough to eat. So salty! But that just made the beer go down easier. I hope to try the katsu udon next time. Thank you for the meal.

While moving around at the Tokyo Racecourse on the day of the Yasuda Kinen, I suddenly stumbled upon this shop that I had been curious about! I'm from Osaka and went to Fujidera High School, but I didn't know about this udon back then. I wonder if this shop didn't exist back then? I never thought it would be in Tokyo, so I couldn't help but buy it. It was 650 yen for the Kasu Udon. It came in a take-out container, so I ate it while standing, and it was delicious with the nostalgic broth and bits of fat. This is really good. I'll definitely go back again. Thank you for the meal.
