Carrot Cake 450 yen Café Latte hot 680 yen. Located near Shinjuku Sanchome Station, I stumbled upon Carrot Cake at AALIYA COFFEE ROASTERS, on the second floor of the famous café CAFE AALIYA known for its French toast. I didn't do much research, just stopped by for a caffeine fix, and unexpectedly came face to face with Carrot Cake. I was only planning to have a drink, but I had to order this. The spacious interior has only table seating. Secure your seat first, then order at the counter. You pay after ordering. The long-awaited Carrot Cake arrived! It looked cute in muffin form. I was surprised after the first bite! It had a strong spice flavor, reminiscent of curry. Maybe cardamom? The sweetness was subtle, and it had a cool and bold taste that's hard to describe. I loved the spice flavor. The texture was light and fluffy. The carrots were pureed, giving it a gentle sweetness. Raisins and large nuts provided a great texture. The thin layer of cream cheese frosting on top had just the right amount of sweetness. A hint of acidity was also nice. It paired perfectly with the café latte I ordered. The addictive combination of spice, gentle sweetness, and fluffiness was excellent. The price was very reasonable at 450 yen for the satisfying portion. The calm atmosphere in the restaurant allows for a relaxing time. It was quite empty, giving it a hidden gem vibe. I'm curious about the Caramel Cheese Cake, and since it's so close to the station, I'd love to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I made a little mistake, but it was a great restaurant!! I had work nearby, and I saw that there was a top-rated restaurant on Tabelog nearby, so I decided to give it a try! However, I ended up at a different restaurant which was part of the same chain! I only realized my mistake after leaving the restaurant, when I noticed that the name on the receipt was slightly different. But the restaurant was clean, the food was delicious, the iced coffee was great, and best of all, it was not crowded at all, so it turned out to be a good experience! This place allows you to choose your coffee beans and they brew it right in front of you, which is really interesting! Today, I had the option to choose from 5 different types of beans. And the seasonal treat of fruit French toast was also amazing! It's like a pancake but with a French toast twist. It was so fluffy and incredibly delicious! I should have ordered a full portion instead of a half. Next time, I'll make sure to visit the actual underground location!

A French toast cafe in Shinjuku always has long lines. The main store on B1 floor is always crowded, but the 2nd floor here has plenty of empty seats. It's not clear if it's a hidden gem or because the kitchen is separate. They serve high-quality coffee that is freshly roasted and delicious. The French toast is moist and soft, and pairs well with the side dishes. I couldn't help but wonder if the B1 store's toast is even better. I'll have to try that next time.

I became a cafe refugee around 5 o'clock and decided to go in. The seats were full, and it seemed they had an 80-minute time limit. I had to wait for 5 more minutes to get a seat. The cool interior was a nice space to relax and enjoy some tea and sweets. It was a great place to take a breather.

On Sunday, around 10:30 am, I entered the store. There were 8 tables for 2 people and 4 single seats. By the time I left, the place was almost full, but the main store in the basement of the same building had a long line, so I think the crowd was still manageable. - French Toast (Half) Soft and filled French toast. Sweet and delicious. The white cream inside tasted like cheese. - Cafe Latte Smooth and mellow.

Let's have breakfast at Shinjuku Sanchome and enjoy some dessert. This time, let's go to AALIYA COFFEE ROASTERS. I have tried the French toast at CAFE AALIYA a few times before. When I arrived, there was a line of people waiting on the stairs. However, I was aiming for AALIYA COFFEE ROASTERS. When I arrived at the shop, it was still before the opening time of 10 am. The shop is on the second floor, so let's wait under the stairs. As we waited, there were about 10 people in line by 10 am. The conversations around us were in Chinese, Korean, English, making it hard to guess where everyone was from. The shop opened at 10 am. First, we chose our seats and then placed our orders at the counter. While CAFE AALIYA offers various types of French toast, AALIYA COFFEE ROASTERS has seasonal fruit French toast and poached egg French toast, available in full and half sizes. I ordered the full-size poached egg French toast, while my wife ordered the half-size poached egg French toast and caramel cheesecake. For drinks, I had the hand-drip Ethiopia coffee, and my wife had a cafe latte. It took a bit of time, but our French toast, cake, and drinks arrived all at once. The French toast was just like the one I had at CAFE AALIYA - soft and delicious. It was soaked in egg mixture and very tasty. The caramel cheesecake had a delicious caramel flavor and was smooth and creamy. It was a great addition. The hand-drip Ethiopia coffee had a slight acidity to it, balancing the acidity and bitterness. The shop was almost full that day, but there wasn't much of a wait. Perhaps it's not well-known or maybe it's a hidden gem. Thank you for the meal.

I happened to walk in and became a fan of the carrot cake at this shop! When I opened Tabelog, it seems like this shop is quite famous... I'm sorry I didn't know before entering. The carrot cake cupcake was nicely spiced and topped with tangy cream cheese, which was cute and delicious. It can also be taken out. It had a taste similar to British carrot cake, so I felt safe eating it and was satisfied. I also like coffee, but I'm not very knowledgeable about it, so I just followed the staff's recommendation for a drink that would go well with the food. Thank you for the meal.

The quality of coffee at AALIYA's COFFEE ROASTERS located in the basement of this building remains the same, but the prices are a bit higher and there are fewer options for French toast. The taste is still delicious, so if the basement is crowded and this place is empty, it's not bad to come here. I may have written more negatives, but simply put, the French toast is tasty and has a flavor that makes you crave it unexpectedly, so I recommend it!

Around 14:00 on a regular day, it was quite easy to get in. I ordered the "Blended Iced Coffee" for 650 yen. They also offer drip coffee with various beans, but when I mentioned my preference, they recommended the blend, so I went with that. It took about 5 minutes to make. Yeah, the coffee is delicious as expected. Even though it's black, it has a nice richness but is still easy to drink. It's my favorite type. It's less crowded here than the main store, so it's easier to get in. (*^^*)

Enjoy special coffee beans, roasting, and drip coffee while indulging in delicious French toast. A must-visit place. A relaxed atmosphere with no typical Shinjuku vibe, which was nice. The shop had a decent number of seats, but since it was an hour before closing, we could enjoy a leisurely time. Located above a famous French toast shop, this place is known for its coffee. They also offer some light snacks to enjoy. Overall, it was a comfortable place to hang out.

I wanted to go to CAFE AALIYA, but the store was under renovation. I heard they also serve French toast here, so I decided to stop by. As a coffee lover, I was happy to enjoy their own roasted coffee. It's also a popular spot, and even though I went a little after opening, it was almost full. I ordered the Poached egg French Toast and a Café Latte. They even did some latte art. The French toast was soft and melted in my mouth. It was a big difference from making it at home. I regret not just ordering one for myself instead of sharing with my companion. I highly recommend the French toast.

Coffee was disappointing, -0.5 rating. Located about a 2-minute walk from Shinjuku-sanchome Station and a 5-minute walk from Shinjuku Station, this longstanding cafe in Shinjuku has been featured on "Matsuko no Shiranai Sekai." They specialize in French toast made with carefully selected ingredients and baked on a copper plate, resulting in a unique crispy exterior and fluffy interior. With a variety of toppings such as blueberry sauce, caramel sauce, and maple syrup, the French toast is priced starting at 690 yen, making it popular enough to have long lines on weekends. During my visit, the underground store was under renovation, so I went to the second-floor store. I ordered the poached egg French Toast for 1,150 yen and a Hot Coffee for 820 yen. The second-floor store had a calm atmosphere, where I enjoyed the traditional French toast. Thank you for the meal.

The French toast at this restaurant had a light and fluffy texture with a very pleasant mouthfeel. The outside was crispy while the inside was moist. The combination of maple syrup and butter topping was perfect, not too sweet but just the right balance. It's a perfect menu for breakfast and I would like to come back again.

The French Toast with poached egg was perfect - just the right softness and sweetness. It's great with vegetables too, they complement each other perfectly. The combination of sweet and salty flavors in your mouth is amazing! I want to try other dishes next time. I had a late lunch around 2 pm on Saturday. The restaurant is usually crowded, but I was able to relax here.

■Fresh Fruit French Toast■ Located on the 2nd floor of the building where the renowned "CAFE AALIYA" in Shinjuku 3-chome is, this café offers a set of French toast and a café latte for under 1000 yen on weekdays. However, with the addition of fresh fruits here, the price is a bit higher. It might be better to visit the café downstairs, "CAFE AALIYA," if it's not too crowded. Despite being the year-end, the café was not too busy, with about half of the customers being foreigners. The French toast had a crispy outer layer with a soft and fluffy inside, making it quite delicious.

I went before evening and was able to enter in about 15 minutes. I had the popular French toast and panini. I was able to enjoy the French toast with my favorite sauce. It was not too mushy and I could taste the deliciousness of the bread.

During the usual lunch hours, a few people were entering the main store along the street, so I was a bit worried that it might be crowded. But when I timidly climbed the stairs, it turned out... it was empty, haha. You're supposed to first choose a seat and then place your order, and they will bring it to you. I ordered the "Half French Toast" for around 1,000 yen, and the "Iced Coffee" for 650 yen, I think. And later on, I got a "Cafe Latte" but I forgot the price. The total was around 2,230 yen, I believe. Oh, and I think they have a set discount...? This place is the sister store of AALIYA, famous for their French toast. The location is a bit tricky, but the building seems to be the same. There were staff going up and down constantly, so maybe it's not as well-known yet? Or perhaps it's still new and not widely recognized? Either way, I appreciated the spacious and relaxed atmosphere. The iced coffee was a bit on the acidic side, not quite my preference. But the highlight was definitely the French toast. How do they make it so soft and fluffy? There's a dollop of sour cream on top, which adds a tangy flavor, so a little goes a long way. They serve two plates for the meal and dessert, so it's nice to split them according to your mood. Overall, if it's not too crowded, the French toast and ambiance make for a great experience. The service was also polite, which I appreciated. Oh, having a wet towel would have been even better.

This popular cafe in Shinjuku San-chome has been around for over 37 years. Their specialty French toast has been a hit since the beginning, always drawing long lines. They were also selected as one of the top 100 cafes in 2021 on Tabelog. The cafe was featured on the TV show "Matsuko's Unknown World". Opened on April 6, 2021, this coffee specialty shop is located on the second floor of Aliya. They offer "house-roasted coffee" and unique French toast not found at the main store. They have a space for ROAST LABO where they roast their own coffee beans. They offer a variety of coffee beans and display information about the beans of the day. In addition to the famous French toast, they also sell other French toast menu items and baked goods not found at the main store. Address: 2F Yamamoto Building, 3-1-17 Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo. AALIYA is famous for its French toast, but did you know they have a café on the second floor as well? You can also enjoy French toast and other dishes here! They take pride in their coffee, which is freshly roasted in-house. They offer five different types of hand drip coffee from Ethiopia, Colombia, Rwanda, Guatemala, and Panama. I tried the Rwanda coffee this time, which was processed naturally. It has a fragrant, sweet aroma, almost like roasted bananas. It has a fruity flavor with a hint of richness. The carrot cake is topped with a tangy cream cheese sauce and red berries, possibly peppercorns. The sponge cake has a spicy flavor with cinnamon and nuts and raisins inside. It's a perfect size for a snack and pairs well with coffee. I highly recommend checking out AALIYA as well as this café if it's not too crowded!
