Exploring Tokyo's gourmet scene! Sumida Ward, Oshiage edition. A top-notch yakiniku lunch featuring Yamagata brand wagyu, Obanazawa beef, and Yukigakari wagyu. The specialty of the restaurant is the weekday lunch limited edition Misuji steak bowl! Visiting the popular restaurant "Sumiya" for the first time! On a winter day with overcast skies and a bit of chill in the air, looking for a change of pace from work, I couldn't decide what to eat. Suddenly, I remembered and decided to take a little walk to a recommended restaurant in Oshiage for lunch! Just a minute's walk from Oshiage Station in the direction of Gyohei, there was a simple restaurant with a black wall and glass windows that didn't look like a typical yakiniku place. Established in 2008, with a focus on Yamagata beef, specifically 32-month-old female cattle, this yakiniku restaurant in Sumida Ward has been in business for 13 years and in 2020, they opened their second branch, "Sumiya Hanare"! Known for offering top-notch yakiniku lunches at a reasonable price, featuring Yamagata brand wagyu, Obanazawa beef, and Yukigakari wagyu, their specialty is the Misuji steak bowl available only on weekdays! Visiting the popular restaurant "Sumiya" for the first time, I didn't hesitate and ordered the weekday limited edition Misuji steak bowl! First, I quenched my thirst with a glass of draft beer and waited for a while. The yakiniku lunches of the customers at the next table were served, but mine took a bit longer! After waiting for 15 minutes, the Misuji steak bowl arrived! Topped with sliced radish, the bowl had a generous portion of Misuji steak on top, with grated garlic chips sprinkled over it. Alongside, there was a vegetable salad, bean sprouts and carrot namul, and kimchi. A piping hot wakame seaweed soup was served with the steak, accompanied by wasabi. The vegetable salad was fresh with a good crunch and tasty dressing. The wakame soup had a refreshing taste with a good dashi flavor. Finally, the highly anticipated Misuji steak bowl! The sliced radish was set aside, and I placed the wasabi on top of the steak before taking a bite. The medium-rare Misuji steak was perfectly cooked, tender, juicy, and flavorful, melting in my mouth. The rice was topped with seaweed, finely chopped pickled radish, and the steak sauce soaked in, blending perfectly with the meat's flavor. The exquisite work of the Yamagata brand beef and the blissful taste of the Misuji steak bowl were outstanding! The top-notch Yamagata brand beef at a lunch price was a remarkable dish! An addictive and blissful taste that will make you want to come back again! Absolutely delicious and exquisite!

Night time is highly recommended. I remember having dinner here about 5 years ago and it cost around 8000 yen, but the meat was delicious. It's always crowded during lunch time. The sauce and rice are tasty. The meat is good for the price. The PayPay discount for the Stamina set meal is a great deal - 1100 yen down to 770 yen.

Next to Tokyo Skytree, there is a restaurant called Sumiya that I always see crowded during lunch time. I decided to visit for the first time and ordered the Kalbi set for 1300 yen. It came with salad, namul, and soup as well! The meat was thick and cooked with a delicious charcoal flavor. I finished it in no time because it was so tasty.

I arrived at the store 10 minutes before opening. There were about 30 people lined up, and I was able to enter the store 40 minutes later as it opened. I ordered the Stamina set meal and the Three Selection set meal. The Chateaubriand, Zabuton, and Misuji were all tender and delicious, with the flavor standing out as soon as they entered my mouth. I would like to order them again next time I go.

I went to the restaurant in Sumida Ward because it was eligible for PayPay discounts. It was a big mistake to aim for the opening time. I should have arrived about 30 minutes earlier. I had to write my name and wait, but after 30 minutes, 40 minutes, no one's name had been crossed out. It took about 1 hour and 10 minutes to finally be seated. I had a Stamina Set Meal for 1100 yen since they didn't have tongue steak or tongue slices. It came with 2 pieces of chicken, 2 pieces of pork belly, and 3 pieces of kalbi. The kalbi had just the right amount of fat and was delicious when chewed. The sauce went well with the rice and it tasted great when eaten together. The meal also came with salad, kimchi, seaweed soup, namul, and rice, which I think is reasonable for 1100 yen. However, I was a little disappointed because I wanted to try the tongue. I wonder how many servings of tongue they have. If you want to try it, I recommend lining up before the opening time. If you're okay with just kalbi, then it's better to go a little later, not necessarily at the opening time. You shouldn't have to wait for an hour.

When you come out of the B1 exit of Oshiage Station, there is a yakiniku restaurant about a 1-minute walk away. It's a bit far to get to B1, but this is a popular yakiniku restaurant in the area, and there is also a Sumiya Hanare branch nearby. I visited on a late holiday night. They are open until 23:00, with last order at 22:00. We arrived around 21:00 and were able to be seated. The restaurant is quite clean with table seating that is spacious. There are also sunken kotatsu-style seats, so it seems like a good place for groups of four or more. It was our third stop of the night, so we ordered the harami (skirt steak) and negitan shio (salted beef tongue with green onions). I wanted to try the liver, but it was sold out. The harami had a nice salty marinade and was easy to chew because of the fine cuts. The negitan shio had thinly sliced salted tongue with plenty of green onions piled on top. We folded it in half and grilled it. It was delicious, but the tongue could have been a bit more tender. I might have a different impression if I try the liver or other cuts next time. It's convenient being close to the station, so I'll come back again.

I ordered the beef kalbi set meal and tongue cut at lunch. The tongue cut was only available on the lunch menu, and for 1000 yen, the quality of the tongue was impressive. When I tried to order it again, I was told it was sold out, so it seems to be a limited quantity item that they only serve at night. I highly recommend adding it to your lunch order if you have the chance. The other beef kalbi dishes were also delicious, and I enjoyed the ox tongue soup and hormone dish as well. Even though I usually don't like liver, I found it tasty here. I will definitely be going back.

When you enter the restaurant, you feel a comfortable family atmosphere. The interior is bright and clean. The premium tongue, premium skirt steak, and premium kalbi oi kimchi are all refreshing pickled types! This is what goes well with meat. The egg kimchi consists of boiled egg, sliced cucumber, kimchi, and seaweed. It goes well with alcohol. Despite being a side dish, it's almost like a main course. As you eat the meat, you can feel the quality of the fat. Rather than being heavy, the umami flavor comes through, indicating that the meat quality is good. It seems that they also have a wide selection of Korean dishes here. This is a place where you can enjoy not only drinks but also food. I will definitely visit again when I am in the area.

Today, I had lunch at the famous "Yakiniku Sumiya" in Oshiage, known for its delicious and affordable meat dishes. Despite the rain, there was a short wait for a table. I ordered the lunch set "Beef Kalbi Set ¥1,300-" and a medium-sized draft beer for ¥750. The beef was tender and not too fatty, and the set also included rice, soup, two side dishes, napa cabbage kimchi, and salad. The meal was satisfying and I left feeling full and ready for the evening drinking party.

The meat was good and worth the price. It had a taste that was both affordable and high-quality. The seasoning was well done overall. It's popular, so making a reservation is necessary. There was a time limit of 2 hours, but it was enough time for a casual and enjoyable meal with family.

I came here because I wanted to eat this Negitan so I made a reservation just in case during lunchtime on a weekday. It was a bit disappointing that you can't order the regular lunch menu with a seat reservation, but my main target was the Negitan, so I endured it. The Negitan was delicious with plenty of green onions, it was the best!

I was looking for a restaurant where I could eat Yamagata beef and went for a lunch preview. It was past the peak hour and the restaurant was quiet. I was seated alone next to a noisy table and felt a little down... The Kalbi Ramen was delicious with big chunks of meat. It was very filling. The flavor was a bit strong, like the soup at a yakiniku restaurant. It was nice that rice was included. Not suitable for a quick lunch, but it had a good portion size and cost performance. It's better to go for a leisurely dinner.

The other day, I was near the Skytree for work. After having lunch, I was in the mood for some meat. I considered the Yakiniku Champion in Solamachi Food Court, but decided to walk around a bit. That's when I found the restaurant "Sumiya". I tried the Wagyu Kalbi set meal for 1,800 yen! The meat was quite generous in portion, and the sweet sauce was also delicious! If this restaurant was closer to my home, I would definitely be a regular customer. I will definitely visit again when I'm in the area! Thank you for the meal!

Delicious stuff that you'll understand once you see it! I had seconds of the negitan! Other meats were also delicious, even though the thickness and cuts were uneven, as long as it's tasty, it's all good! And you know what? The green pepper pancake was soooo delicious! I will definitely come back again! Overall, it was a really great restaurant! Located at 4-16-1 Gyoen, Sumida-ku, Tokyo ☎️ Reservations accepted. Close to Oshiage Station and Skytree Station ⏰ 11:30-14:30, 16:30-23:00. Open every day. Accepts credit cards and QR code payments, but not electronic money.

It's definitely not cheap, but it's really delicious. The grilled beef tongue with plenty of green onions requires a knack for cooking. I couldn't master it and a lot of it fell through the grill...haha They also change the grill grate regularly and the staff's service is polite, so I want to go back again.

The salad liver was delicious! The samgyeopsal had a good flavor! Overall, it was tasty but I don't think the cost performance is that great. It doesn't make you wait, but it always seems to be crowded!

I went around 12 o'clock on Sunday and there was a line! I waited for about 40 minutes. I chose the Lunch A Kalbi set for 1300 yen. The regular Kalbi set is 1800 yen, but it seems the meat is different. The Lunch A set had tender meat and was satisfying! I tried to order additional tongue, but it was sold out for lunch, so I ordered the Negi-tan shio from the regular menu with plenty of leeks. This was also delicious. Thank you for the meal!

We shared a mixed hormone and stamina set for lunch. The staff was very kind and when we asked what was in the hormone dish, they politely explained that it varies depending on the day. The restaurant was very crowded, but we were able to relax in the semi-private room on the second floor.

I visited this restaurant on a late night during my day off in Oshiage for some errands, and met up with a friend to have dinner together. The restaurant had caught my eye before, so we decided to give it a try. When we arrived, it seemed like they were fully booked, but luckily a table had just opened up and we were seated right away. We started with two glasses of draft beer each. The food we ordered included white cabbage kimchi, organic lettuce, two types of lean meat, medium loin, mixed hormones, kalbi, and a large bowl of rice. The white cabbage kimchi was well-aged with a good balance of spiciness, sweetness, and umami. The meat was all delicious, with a nice balance of fat and meaty flavor. My friend enjoyed the meat so much that he even finished the rice. The liver was tender, and the intestines were deliciously fatty. The mixed hormones were especially outstanding. We also had additional drinks like draft beer, lemon sour, and large lemon sour. Overall, the meat and hormones were delicious, and the kimchi was great too. I highly recommend this place!

Late lunch in the Oshiage area. This time, I went to a popular yakiniku restaurant. They also accept the Goto Eat campaign. I've tried to have lunch here a few times before, but it was always full. This time, I was lucky with the timing for a late lunch. It was still almost full though. Many local customers seemed to be enjoying yakiniku and beer during their lunch break, which made me envious. I ordered the Stamina Teishoku, which is a lunch staple, for 1100 yen. Hmm, wasn't the lunch with beef ribs less than 1000 yen before? The price has gone up to 1300 yen, which is quite a hike. However, considering the quality of the meat and the relaxed atmosphere for enjoying yakiniku, it is still reasonably priced. The portion of meat is not large, but the beef, pork, and chicken are of good quality, tender, and flavorful due to the marinade. The sauce is also delicious. The salad, namul, kakuteki, and wakame soup that come with it, along with the option for extra rice for free, are great. It would be nice if the salad was a bit tastier though. It's understandable why this place is popular among locals. Despite the price increase, the lunch still offers good value for money.

While looking for a lunch spot at Skytree, I suddenly felt like having yakiniku instead of Italian or Japanese food. I searched on Tabelog and found a delicious yakiniku restaurant a little walk away, offering a reasonable lunch menu. My family of four, including my 5 and 9-year-old daughters, all ordered the A set with kalbi yakiniku for 1300 yen. The set included 7 thick slices of kalbi, namul (bean sprouts and lotus root), kakuteki (grilled garlic), rice (extra servings available), wakame soup, cabbage salad. The kalbi was thick and had a light marbling of fat. The price of 1300 yen was unbelievably cheap! I will definitely come back to this restaurant for lunch the next time I visit Skytree!
