★4.2【FILE 2588】On 2015/11/08 (Sun) at 12:16, I visited a French restaurant located on the basement floor of the VK Building on Gaien Higashi Street, just off Azabu-dai. The restaurant opened 8 years and 7 months ago in April 2007. I made a reservation on 11/1 (Sun) and visited the restaurant. Just behind the restaurant is the O Gurman restaurant that I visited yesterday. The interior of the restaurant has a calm atmosphere with wood accents. There are a total of 12 seats, with 2 tables x 2 tables in front and 2 tables x 4 tables on the right, making it relatively spacious. When I visited, there was one group of 3 customers already seated. A walk-in customer arrived later but was turned away as there were no available seats. The restaurant was very empty with only female customers. The service was provided by a male staff member who was very polite and attentive. The menu offers the following lunch courses: - ichiRyu Lunch Course 3000 yen (excluding tax) - omakase Lunch Course 4200 yen (excluding tax) - Special Lunch Course 6000 yen (excluding tax) The drink options include white wine, red wine, fruit liquor, oolong tea, ginger ale, and orange juice. I ordered the ichiRyu Lunch Course for 3240 yen. The course included white wine, bread with butter, seafood and seasonal vegetable salad, La France cold soup, herb pork from Iwate with Romanesco and autumn burdock sauce, apple tart tatin with cinnamon-flavored black beans and orange sherbet, and coffee. The total serving time was approximately 1 hour and 7 minutes, starting at 12:16 and ending at 13:23. I chose white wine as my drink. The seafood and seasonal vegetable salad was beautifully presented on a clear glass plate with squid, stuffed shrimp, scallops, and seasonal vegetables accompanied by grapefruit jelly, creating a delicious combination of flavors and textures. The warm round bread served with butter was soft and tasty. The La France cold soup had a unique texture and a sweet La France flavor, making it very delicious. The main course featured herb pork from Iwate with Romanesco and autumn burdock sauce, which was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. The dessert, apple tart tatin with cinnamon-flavored black beans and orange sherbet, was refreshing and delightful. The freshly brewed coffee was also very delicious. The restaurant's atmosphere was calm with wood accents, and the spacious seating provided a comfortable dining experience. The service was very polite and pleasant. The ichiRyu Lunch Course for 3240 yen was a great value, offering a set menu with a drink, bread, appetizer, soup, choice of fish or meat dish, dessert, and coffee. The seafood and seasonal vegetable salad was particularly impressive and memorable. The La France cold soup was also unique and delicious. I was intrigued by the second appetizer in the other courses as well. Overall, it was a hidden gem with beautiful and delicious dishes served with wine.
