I visited this place in early summer, so this review might be a bit late, but I still want to recommend it. Boule Mich in Ginza 1-chome is a well-known pastry shop with a long history in Japan. They are famous for their cakes and baked goods, but they also serve soft serve ice cream. Their signature GINZA Soft serve may look like regular vanilla, but it's quite different. It's infused with a generous amount of Grand Marnier liqueur, making it an alcoholic treat. The rich vanilla flavor combined with the Grand Marnier is absolutely delicious, truly a soft serve for adults. The price used to be around 330 yen until 2021, but due to recent price increases, it's now around 550 yen. However, it's still worth trying. I make it a routine to have GINZA Soft serve every early summer, it helps me feel the arrival of summer. It's a way for me to sense the changing seasons.

Wednesday at 12:15 was my first visit. There was one customer when I arrived, but later two groups of three people came in and the place became full. It might not be a hidden gem anymore. I ordered: - Tartlette Chiboust for 660 yen: A signature item only available at this main store. It was delicious! - Blend for 651 yen: It came with proper milk and was a tasty coffee. I got a 100 yen discount for ordering a cake and a drink together, so the total was 1,211 yen. They have many books by the founder, Yoshida-san, so you can relax and read. It seems they also offer pastry lessons, so I might make a reservation for the next one!

There are more customers than before, but you can still find a seat and relax. The air conditioning is strong. The price of soft serve ice cream has gone up, but it's delicious so it's worth it. The staff is polite and the atmosphere is comfortable. It's recommended for a relaxing break during the hot summer.

Today, I visited the Ginza area, specifically around Ginza, Higashi-Ginza, and Ginza Itchome. I stopped by the main store of Boul'Mich in Ginza, which is actually where it all began. Despite being relatively affordable for a patisserie, Boul'Mich is well-known for its quality. It's interesting how some popular things actually originated from unexpected places, just like how the first game in the popular RPG series "Seiken Densetsu" was actually a "Final Fantasy" spin-off. The series started as a spin-off of FF and became a separate, hugely popular series. The resemblance between "Mana" and "Crystal" might have something to do with it. However, the original FF series has moved away from crystals and such. I wonder if there will be a true sequel to Legend of Mana. Now, let's talk about the Boul'Mich Ginza Main Store. This is the headquarters of Boul'Mich, complete with a café. Located at the intersection of Chuo Street and Ginza Sakuradori, it's a spacious and welcoming street-level store. While you may usually see their products in department store basements, the main store offers a wide range of items. There are around 15 types of fresh cakes and a vast selection of baked goods and jellies. They also have various gift assortments for souvenirs. Of course, they offer their signature Chiboust in both petit gateau and whole cake sizes. There's also a small café area with four seats where you can enjoy your cake. Here's what I had: - Tartlet Chiboust (Ginza Main Store Limited): A Chiboust tart with caramelized apples on top. The contrast between the crunchy caramel and fluffy Chiboust is delightful, and the cold apples make it perfect for summer. - Chocolat Fondant: A moist chocolate cream cake with mini chocolate chips on top. It has a milky, nostalgic flavor and is light and not too heavy. - Peach Tart: A soft and moist fruit tart perfect for summer, with ripe peaches, refreshing jelly, and a hint of custard. - Summer Fruit Yogurt Mousse: A refreshing dessert with a mix of juicy fruits and yogurt mousse, topped with blue herb syrup jelly. It's vibrant and perfect for summer, with a variety of fruits like mango, orange, kiwi, melon, blueberry, and a refreshing touch of watermelon. - GINZA Soft Grand Marnier: Soft serve ice cream with Grand Marnier liqueur, available only at the Ginza main store. It has a subtle adult flavor from the liqueur but is still creamy and vanilla-flavored, with a cookie on top. Despite being in a prime location in Ginza, the store was quite empty, allowing for a relaxed experience. While their cakes are delicious, I must say the soft serve ice cream was the highlight for me. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Visited on a holiday afternoon. The lunch was not great, so I wanted to refresh with dessert and decided to come here. I saw that soft serve ice cream was available for eating in, so I thought I could take a break in the cafe space. I also thought about buying some baked goods on the way out. Upon entering, I noticed that as others have mentioned, the staff's hospitality was not very good. I think I read in a review that only matcha was available on weekends, but I was able to choose between vanilla and mix, so I went with a vanilla cup (I think it was 680 yen). I took a bite of the cookie and decided not to buy any baked goods here as it felt dry to me (personal opinion). The ice cream had a strong whipped cream taste typical of a patisserie, but thanks to the rum and vanilla beans, it didn't feel too heavy. It was on the rich side, but I got a bit tired of it by the time I finished. I stayed for about 30 minutes, but there were no other customers, maybe because of the location. It felt like a hidden gem. Thank you for the meal!

Two days in a row. I used to dislike egg tarts, but the part that's not the tart is surprisingly delicious! I was surprised. I've decided that I have to buy egg tarts whenever I see them from now on. The fruit jelly is also refreshing and delicious. This store is great!

A sweets shop located right under the overpass on Chuo Street, heading from Ginza to Takaramachi. Just hearing about the soft serve ice cream from this cake shop makes you want to eat it. I usually choose a cone, but because it was raining, I opted for a cup and they added a cookie on top like a topping, which made me happy. This soft serve ice cream here contains Grand Marnier, giving it a rich aroma and a sophisticated adult flavor. It is smooth and easy to eat, but it also has depth, elegance, and a sense of luxury. It is a high-end soft serve ice cream with a high price tag, but the taste is excellent.

Valentine's Day came a little early. I received a set of Truffle cakes, with two flavors - chocolate and berry. It's like a cupcake filled with truffles. When warmed in the microwave, it becomes gooey and delicious, like a fondant chocolate. So tasty!

The baked goods were delicious. The pistachio and chestnut financiers were moist and had a nice flavor of the respective ingredients. However, the orange chocolate financier was a bit dry, which seemed to dilute the rich chocolate flavor.

I used the Tabeto app to rescue two cakes for 861 yen. I couldn't choose, but there was a shortcake with a shibust (custard cream) that I like. Unfortunately, the cake was not to my liking. The shibust was divided into top and bottom layers, and the surface was not crispy. It was like being drizzled with caramel sauce. Unfortunately, it was not a cake that I liked.

(I scare away the deer) Con!! I'll take it as a gift. Boule Missch, a Western confectionery store with its main store in Ginza. The Grand Luxe set of financiers includes: Strawberry Cake, Financier Chestnut, Apple Butter Cake, Financier Chocolate. The Strawberry Cake has a rich strawberry aroma and a moist texture. The Financier Chestnut uses fragrant French chestnut cream. The Apple Butter Cake is made with apples from Aomori prefecture, recreating the texture of the fruit. The Financier Chocolate achieves a bitter taste with Belgian cocoa mass and almond powder. Boule Missch is definitely a safe bet. In addition to Grand Luxe, they also offer Financier Pistachio, Madeleine Brown, and Chocolate Orange Cake. I would love to try them. Thank you for the meal.

Ginza☆I had forgotten about it... (lol) On this day, I headed towards Ginza to Kyobashi area. While walking, I came across this shop and thought, "Hmm, I feel like I've heard of this place before..." Yes, it was the shop that I had saved on my phone as a "must-visit" place for a while (lol). There are so many places I want to visit that I had forgotten about it. Since I was still in the middle of shopping, I didn't buy any cakes, but I bought Financier and Gâteau aux Marrons. The Gâteau aux Marrons was like a muffin with lots of chestnut pieces inside, and it was delicious. However, I felt that the customer service from the staff was a bit cold. It was a bit disappointing. Next time, I want to try their cakes and soft serve ice cream. Thank you for the meal.

I went to the flagship store under the elevated tracks in Ginza to try their soft serve ice cream. I was surprised to find out that they offer both vanilla and matcha flavors for takeout, and also have seating available for eating in with Wi-Fi access. When I ordered and paid, I was served a large soft serve with a cookie on top, along with water and a wet towel. The soft serve had a strong alcohol flavor, which was surprisingly delicious. However, the portion size was quite big, even for someone who loves soft serve. The menu also includes cakes and drinks at affordable prices. Since there were not many customers eating in, it felt like a hidden gem in Ginza. I plan to go back before it gets too cold, this time aiming for the matcha flavor!

After eating a delicious kiji-yaki juu at Toriyoshi, I was craving something sweet and decided to stop by "Boul'Mich" nearby. Located under the bridge along Chuo Street, on the way from Kyobashi Station towards Ginza. Around 12:40, no customers were there yet. I was aiming for the Ginza branch exclusive "soft serve ice cream". On weekdays, they only serve vanilla. On weekends (Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays), they offer matcha and mixed flavors. If you choose to dine in, you will be guided to a seating area in the back, where there is a proper cafe corner! I didn't know that before. Truly a hidden gem cafe. As I was looking at the menu, I noticed they also have cake sets and even the Ginza branch exclusive Tartlette Chiboust! The long-awaited soft serve ice cream was Grand Marnier-flavored. The aroma was different from regular vanilla, very elegant. It was rich, flavorful, and had a smooth texture, very delicious! Truly living up to the reputation of Boul'Mich. It costs around 550 yen, which is reasonable considering it's the shop's specialty. They also offer it with espresso, so I'll try that next time! I have a hobby of exploring food, and my Instagram account focusing on Ginza area has over 28,000 followers! Instagram: lunchkirakira (Ginza Lunch) https://www.instagram.com/lunchkirakira/?hl=ja

I had the "Financier Marron" here. It was a thick financier with a strong chestnut cream flavor, which made me think it had alcohol in it. It's quite a rich dessert, so I can understand why it's 106kcal per piece.

For the 2022 Obon offering, I chose the "Truffe Cake" and "Gâteau aux Marrons" from Boul'Mich. I opted for these high-class Western sweets because they had a long shelf life of around 40 days. The "Truffe Cake" is a chocolate baked confection with a truffle chocolate inside, a signature dish of Boul'Mich. The "Gâteau aux Marrons" is the chestnut version of the "Truffe Cake," containing chestnut paste, finely chopped candied chestnuts, and chestnut glaze. A relative who tried it exclaimed, "I've never had such a delicious chestnut cake before. Ginza sweets are truly different." It's fun to have relatives like this gathering during Obon (laughs).

Takeout use ♫ Matcha and chocolate truffle filled muffins. Both have a rich flavor ( ̄∀ ̄)v The chocolate truffle inside has a slight hint of liquor, which I personally love! Enjoyed during a peaceful tea time without any interruptions (my son is out playing during summer vacation), so I was full of happiness. Thank you for the meal!

The Ginza main store of a French confectionery shop that has branches nationwide. They sell soft serve ice cream here exclusively, and it's delicious. Perfect sweet treat for strolling around Ginza. [Menu] ◼︎ GINZA Soft Grand Marnier (Vanilla) Soft serve ice cream with a hint of liqueur flavor - delicious! It's creamy but has a refreshing aftertaste.

The canelé costs ¥195. It is firm and crunchy on the outside, with a moist and strongly rum-flavored interior. It has a mature taste and comes in a small size, making it easy to eat multiple pieces. The cost performance is good. It was mentioned that it can be eaten 30 minutes later, and it was served frozen. When eaten 1.5 hours after purchase, it was still a bit cold and crunchy, suggesting that it had not fully thawed. However, if you like it firm, it's totally fine.

This is almost Kyobashi, I think. It's a street shop of Boul'Mich. You can have soft serve ice cream. There is also a small cafe space. I have never seen it crowded, so I think it's a hidden gem. It's a small space, but they provide good service. It was a very cold day, so I had the soft serve ice cream inside ☆ The soft serve ice cream has a slightly alcoholic taste, different from regular milk soft serve, with an adult flavor ^_^ I enjoyed it slowly and deliciously♪

I ordered Grand Marnier soft serve ice cream (vanilla). It seems that matcha soft serve is only available on weekends and holidays, so the only choice was vanilla. Even though it had a hint of liqueur, it was easy to eat even for someone like me who doesn't like alcohol. The seating area was small, but they did have a proper restroom.
