I was surprised from the beginning! The appetizer was so plentiful! It was nice to be able to try various types little by little. And each one was delicious. From Western-style chawanmushi and sashimi to fried blowfish, everything was delicious. What surprised me even more was that we each got a whole simmered alfonsino fish (laughs) - so luxurious! I started to feel a bit full halfway through, but to be able to be so satisfied with fish dishes is amazing. They have private rooms, so it's suitable for entertaining guests. A very good restaurant indeed.

I went with a friend to celebrate their birthday. My friend really loves strong drinks, so we opted for the all-you-can-drink option to avoid any surprises in the bill. However, the quality of the all-you-can-drink menu was important. I made sure that there were proper brands of Japanese sake included. It was our first time at this restaurant, and I was a bit nervous about going to a place in the bustling Shinjuku area, but it turned out to be a great choice. The location is about a 5-minute walk from Seibu Shinjuku Station. Shinjuku can be a bit overwhelming with the crowds, but this restaurant is tucked away on a quiet side street, so it felt more peaceful. It's located on the second floor and has a calm and sophisticated atmosphere, with private rooms available besides the counter. The kimono-clad hostess led us to our private room, which was spacious and clean. We had reserved the Seasonal Kaiseki Course for 13,915 yen, which included all-you-can-drink, with about 6 different types of famous local sakes from Niigata Prefecture available. The course included the following dishes: - Appetizers: A plate filled with 10 different kinds of appetizers (please refer to the photo for details). Each dish was delicious and set a high expectation for the rest of the meal. - Soup: A clear soup with fish balls, with a delicate and comforting broth. - Sashimi: Squid and tuna sashimi, both with a rich and tender texture that paired well with the sake. - Simmered Dish: Summer vegetables, abalone, and sea urchin, all with delightful flavors. - Grilled Young Corn: This dish left a lasting impression, with the young corn being sweet and crunchy, complemented by a homemade Caesar salad sauce. - Beef Fillet Steak with grated radish sauce: The tender and flavorful beef was satisfying, and the refreshing grated radish sauce enhanced the meat's taste. - Cold Somen Noodles with grated long yam and turnip: A refreshing dish with a summer-like taste, perfect for cleansing the palate. - Corn Rice: A dish I was looking forward to, as I love corn. The rice was filled with sweet corn kernels, offering a delightful texture. - Dessert: A seasonal mini watermelon, sweet and refreshing. Additionally, the birthday surprise for my friend was a cute and delicious plate prepared by the restaurant, even though I hadn't specifically requested it. The staff's thoughtfulness made the celebration even more special. We ended the meal with an encore of the "Shiraho no Ka" beer, which was a perfect way to conclude the enjoyable experience. Thank you to the staff for the wonderful service!

Today, I had a meal with a customer in the Shinjuku area. I searched for a Japanese restaurant with private rooms and found this place. We ordered a course menu, starting from appetizers to rice and dessert. The timing of the dishes being served was good, and the taste was delicious. They had a good selection of drinks, including beer, sake, shochu, and wine. It was a great dining experience! (Unfortunately, I couldn't take photos of the food.)

A restaurant where you want to go with someone special. Having a completely private room is very welcome and appreciated in certain situations. The service is good, and the food is delicious. While it may not have any standout features, it is definitely reliable. It is rare to find a place in Shinjuku that combines atmosphere and quality, so this is a restaurant worth remembering.

I really like appetizers! Firefly squid, rolled sushi, bamboo shoots, fava beans, salted cheese, butterbur sprouts, eggs... Only my favorite things are on the menu. I'm very satisfied with the lineup that goes well with alcohol. I had sake with fins from noon. It was my first time in a private room, but it was spacious and nice.

I chose this place for a luxurious drinking party in Shinjuku. It has a unique atmosphere that is not common in Shinjuku. The menu is also luxurious, with special dishes available by reservation. Each dish is beautifully presented and tastes delicious. This place may be useful when looking for a special restaurant in the area.

I had lunch with a friend I hadn't seen in a long time. We decided to meet in the middle, which happened to be in Shinjuku. My friend wanted Japanese cuisine, so we searched and found a place. Shinjuku is not my favorite place, so I was a bit anxious until we arrived at the restaurant. We booked a plan for 3980 yen on a website. The plan included appetizers, soup, sashimi, main dish, rice, and dessert. The restaurant was located near Shinjuku station, but on the west side, so it wasn't too crowded. It was inside a mixed-use building. When we entered, the atmosphere was calm, and the female staff, dressed in kimonos, provided elegant service. The dishes were beautifully presented, and the flavors were excellent. We were able to enjoy a leisurely lunch in a private room and left very satisfied. The duck appetizer and the conger eel soup were particularly delicious. The condiments in the soup were irresistible, and I felt the happiness of being Japanese and the greatness of Japanese cuisine. I wish there were more places like this restaurant.

I forgot to take a photo, but when I ordered 2 servings of sashimi for two people, they took their time to plate each piece beautifully, which was nice. However, I was disappointed that the wasabi came from a salty tube and was squeezed out in its original shape. Considering the price, it was very disappointing. Also, the sea bream sashimi had so many tough fibers that it was hard to swallow, and the ark shell was cut too much and had a mushy texture. It was a first-time experience for me. Furthermore, the wasabi that came with the broiled conger eel was lightly scented and had a bad texture, but it was not salty. I was amazed that they could serve two types of wasabi to the same customer. I was looking forward to the stewed dish from Yoshitsugu, but it was too sweet, and even though we managed to eat half of it between two people, we couldn't enjoy it.

I met up with a mom friend I hadn't seen in a while and went for lunch together. We wanted to chat leisurely and because of the pandemic, I searched for a restaurant with private rooms and made a reservation here. The place is located on Kotakibashi Street, if you have Shinjuku Station behind you, it's on the left side on the 2nd floor of an Italian restaurant called Quarto. I often come to Quarto, so I didn't notice that this place was on the 2nd floor. The interior of the restaurant had a calm Japanese atmosphere with a large counter where chefs were preparing dishes. There were also table seats and various sizes of private rooms. We ordered the "Uta Course" which included 5 dishes: 3 appetizers, soup, sashimi, tea soba, dessert, and a drink after the meal. Everything was delicious, but it was a bit disappointing that there wasn't much detailed explanation about the dishes. If there had been a menu, we could have enjoyed the flavors even more. Thank you for the meal.

On Saturday, I made a reservation in advance and enjoyed the night's sea bass hot pot course for lunch. The restaurant had a luxurious atmosphere and the service was very polite! Sea bass is said to be in season twice, in winter and summer, but my friend loves sea bass the most among all fish, so we had it in spring! It was my first time trying sea bass, and it had a mild taste. It reminded me of fugu from the menu. Sea bass has amazing teeth. Next time, I will make sure to try it in season! The appetizers were stylish and each sauce was delicious! The menu included: Seasonal appetizer assortment of firefly squid and caprese, rape blossoms and cherry shrimp, asparagus and egg, sea bass sashimi, sea bass tempura, sea bass hot pot, porridge, dessert chocolate cake, and coffee.

I had a delicious tempura rice bowl and delicious udon lunch. The tempura was crispy and voluminous. The udon had thin noodles with a yuzu-flavored broth. It also came with hijiki and kombu. There was dessert too! The restaurant was quite spacious and I enjoyed my meal at the counter. Thank you for the meal.

This is a wonderful kaiseki restaurant located just off the bustling streets of Shinjuku. I made a reservation for seats only, but they were able to accommodate me in a private room that became available. The service was excellent, with the option to arrange a course meal even without prior reservation. The food was delicious, with a variety of ingredients served in small portions. I also received a souvenir of inari sushi on my way out. I would love to visit this restaurant again when the season changes.

I found this place where you can enjoy a calm Japanese meal in Shinjuku. It is located on the second floor of a building just a little off Kotaki Bridge Street. There is a lovely counter, but this time we used a private room for a business dinner. The dishes were just the right amount, with a good variety of flavors that were not too strong. The fugu sashimi in the summer was also excellent. There are many different types of alcohol available, but there are a lot of limited edition sake in 4-cup bottles, so I want to invite my friends who love sake next time. We were so focused on eating and drinking that we forgot to take photos. Thank you for the meal.

On a regular evening, I made a reservation to dine with a business partner. We had a private room. We started with a toast with draft beer. We ordered the Chef's special course which included seasonal appetizers, grilled salmon with gingko nuts, simmered fugu skin, sushi with tuna and cod milt, and more. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Today I had a drink with a customer here. It was my first visit. I went up the stairs to the second floor, and the entrance was quiet and spacious, with a relaxed atmosphere. It was a nice change from the hustle and bustle of Shinjuku. We were led to a private room in the back. We enjoyed some appetizers while toasting with beer. The simmered matsutake mushrooms were warm and comforting, perfect for this chilly time of year. The sashimi was delicious, and the simmered kinki fish and grilled fish were all prepared with care. It was a restaurant where you could forget about the chaos of Shinjuku. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Located on the second floor to the right after turning left at the first traffic light on Kotakibashi Street from Oogado, this area is filled with numerous dining options, but this Japanese restaurant stands out. They offer fresh seasonal ingredients, skilled cooking, and great value for money. I have been coming here every 2-3 months, it's a delicious Japanese dining spot.

I used this restaurant for a meal with relatives who came from France. I thought about using a hotel because I have a baby and a toddler, but surprisingly there were no private rooms that could accommodate about 20 people, so I chose this place. It's called "Gennaiichi Kamijo" and it's about a 5-minute walk from Shinjuku Station. It just opened recently. We toasted with champagne (only one type available). They have a good selection of champagne, sparkling wine, various wines on the menu. The course menu was 4600 yen and included appetizers, sashimi, soup, beef fillet steak, rice, dessert, and coffee. The French mother couldn't eat raw fish, so they kindly changed it for her. The rice was beef sukiyaki rice, which was so delicious that even the children finished it all. They even brought out dessert for the children who shared their meals. The service was very attentive. The food overall was delicious and of a standard quality. They have private rooms of various sizes, so it seems like they can accommodate both business dinners and entertaining guests. In Shinjuku, when it comes to Japanese cuisine for business meals, there are only Kikuurakawarikappo Nakajima or restaurants inside hotels, so it's good to remember this place! (It still feels like a hidden gem)
