Shiba Koen, Minato-ku, Tokyo. This izakaya offers a wide variety of menu items such as yakitori, yakiton, black oden, fried foods, and simmered dishes. The first floor is standing-room only, the second floor has table seating, and the third floor has tatami seating, making it a convenient and popular local pub. The nearest stations are Daimon Station on the Toei Asakusa Line and Oedo Line, and Shibakoen Station on the Toei Mita Line. Other nearby stations include Onarimon Station and Hamamatsucho Station. It's perfect for a weekend night out with Thai food at Shiba Daimon, followed by a second party here. I made a reservation online the day before to avoid the crowds. We ordered various dishes and drinks, enjoying the lively atmosphere. After about an hour and a half, we wrapped up the night. Thanks to everyone who joined, even those who had to travel far.

I took a walk around Hama Rikyu Gardens and Shiba Park, and then had some izakaya food during the day. Hamamatsucho is a monorail station, so it's always crowded with inbound tourists. Izakayas seem to be popular among inbound tourists, as they keep coming in one after another. The staff are also foreigners. It's amazing how the world has changed. I had a salt lemon sour, which was quite salty. It was too strong, so I ended up switching to highballs for my second drink onwards. The food, like horse sashimi and beef yukhoe, was to my liking. If this place was near my office, I might become a regular customer.

This area is relatively open until late. Both drinks and meals are cheap, making it perfect for a second stop. The interior has a retro atmosphere and the staff, who seem to be foreigners, were a bit unfriendly. I used a 10% off coupon. Thank you.

On a Sunday night, two of us casually walked into this place. As soon as we entered, there was a counter right in front of us serving draft beer and skewers. We ordered potato salad and ham cutlet - dishes that we always end up ordering at this type of atmosphere. The skewers were grilled right in front of us. In addition to the dishes in the photo, we also ordered oden. Everything was cheap and delicious, which we take for granted but is not always the case. Every item on the menu is tasty, thanks to the constant efforts of the restaurant. Thanks for the delicious meal.

A multi-faceted izakaya located in Daimon, Hamamatsucho! The restaurant is a 3-story building with a counter on the first floor and table seats on the 2nd and 3rd floors. It is perfect for a casual drink after work or for gatherings with friends, as they also offer private reservations. The food includes delicious dishes such as grilled beef tongue with salt and grilled chicken skewers. The atmosphere is great for various occasions, making it a recommended spot for gatherings or casual dining.

I visited this restaurant for the first time on a Friday night, a little away from Daimon Station. The first floor was mostly full with counter seats, but we were able to get a table on the second floor easily. There is a restroom at the back of the first floor, but be aware that there is only one unisex restroom. I had draft beer and oden, and the oden was quite delicious. I was surprised to find items like chicken skin and senpoko skewers. We ordered several small dishes, and each one had a high quality taste. The prices were reasonable, and the staff, who were foreigners, were very friendly women.

I stopped by a little late and ordered quickly since it was close to last order. The staff were busy grilling in front of me.
- Hoppy Set 440 yen
- Refill of shochu (medium) 220 yen
At 330 yen per glass, it's quite cheap and appreciated. By the way, if you choose Kinmiya, the "medium" is 330 yen.
- Uni cream croquette 385 yen
The cream croquette is usually delicious, regardless of the uni flavor.
- Eel liver skewer 319 yen
The texture of the liver and the rich sauce. The hoppy also enhances the experience.
It was a bit hectic near closing time, but the staff's service was good.

Having lunch at a nearby izakaya in front of Zojoji Temple. The katsu curry is quite reasonable at 680 yen. The portion size is just right, with plenty of vegetables in the curry for a satisfying meal. The katsu is crispy and delicious. The miso soup on the side is a bit strong, but overall very satisfied.

I visited a izakaya located at the intersection of Shibadaimon for the first time as part of exploring new restaurants. I ordered the "nabe stew set with fried chicken". The nabe stew served in a pot was nothing special, but it was a delicious and satisfying meal.

In Minato Ward, there was a sudden rain shower due to the influence of a typhoon, but it cleared up and I went out for lunch at Daimon. I had the "Mom's Cutlet Curry" for ¥680, which is a curry with big chunks of potatoes and carrots. It's a bit runny, which is the opposite of the current trend, but I have always loved this type of curry. The cutlet was average, I couldn't tell if it was homemade or not, but at this price, I have no complaints. Let's support the izakaya struggling with the effects of the coronavirus by trying their lunch menu as well!

I visited a shop near Shibadaimon intersection for lunch, which is actually an izakaya that opens at night. I had "Mom's Curry" for ¥480, which had pork belly, potatoes, carrots, and lots of vegetables in a soupy curry. I actually love this type of curry, which reminds me of my mother's curry from the Showa era. They also serve miso soup, which makes it feel like a school cafeteria. The staff were very friendly and made an effort to engage with customers. The price is even cheaper than a one-coin meal, showing their determination to keep going despite the challenges of the pandemic. Keep up the good work!

I visited a shop near Zojoji Temple as my second stop. The menu includes motsu-yaki, yakitori, and izakaya dishes. I ordered eel liver yakitori, chicken skin, and salad. The eel liver yakitori was unique and had a decent taste. The other dishes didn't stand out, but the variety was good. It was a convenient and pleasant place to enjoy various dishes while drinking.

The daikon in the black oden had a rich flavor and was delicious, but the mustard was very spicy. The tongue skewers were very tasty and the tsukune was also flavorful. The ponzu was a bit too oily. The beef tendon tofu dish was not very satisfying.

From the window inside the restaurant, you can see the grand torii gate of Zojoji Temple and enjoy another round of beer. The view of Tokyo Tower during the day is nice, but it's even more enchanting when it's lit up at night, truly symbolizing Tokyo. We chatted about this over our beers. The restaurant had a few customers coming in during the day, more like a place for Japanese holiday drinking rather than lunch. We ordered the famous simmered dish and grilled skewers, enjoying them with some chopped green onions as a garnish. We kept getting refills and felt relaxed with a drink from Shizuoka. It was a calm and enjoyable day spent in a typical Japanese tavern. Thank you for the meal.

Mother's curry (480 yen) When you're short on time, curry is the way to go. There are two types of curry here, including beef tendon curry, but I'm in the mood for something light. I order with extra sauce. Miso soup and curry. The curry here is made with wheat flour roux, not too spicy, with potatoes, carrots, and onions. It doesn't have a strong spice flavor, and it's not overly delicious, that's the style here. The curry here lacks a bit of saltiness, so adding sauce from the table gives it a sharp taste.

Today's lunchtime, I was in the mood for some fried chicken, so I ended up going inside a place with a sign advertising "Chomolungma Fried Chicken Set" that looked like it was a big portion. I was seated at the counter and ordered the Chomolungma Fried Chicken Set. First, a salad was served, and then I saw the fried chicken being cooked right in front of me - it seemed like it was double-fried. I wondered if it was frozen, considering the price. The Chomolungma Fried Chicken Set arrived with 7 pieces of chicken - not exactly a mountainous portion, but still quite a lot. The set also came with another serving of salad with plenty of mayo, and the rice was quite tasty for a lunch set at a pub. You can have free refills of rice. The miso soup was just average. I'll definitely come back when I'm in the mood for fried chicken again!

When I stopped by the restaurant next to the main gate, it looked like a nice old house with delicious yakitori. I ordered 2 drinks and 2 skewers "chef's choice" plus 1 appetizer "excluding sashimi" for 1000 yen. The skewers were thinly sliced and well-seasoned, with choices like pork belly and tongue. The appetizer selection was great, and I added negima, rump, bonjiri, and tsukune with a rich sauce. The tsukune was deep-fried before being grilled over charcoal, giving it a unique flavor. The customers seemed to be more colleagues or people visiting Zojoji Temple than couples. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

I visited on the second day of the New Year. Unfortunately, Hottei-chan is closed until the 5th. Since Zojoji Temple is nearby, the restaurant was open earlier than usual. The cover charge was 400 yen, and the prices for dishes were quite high. We were seated in a cold area and quickly left after two beers. Two skewers and some sashimi cost 2,500 yen per person, which wasn't great value for money. The second floor was full and the staff seemed a bit indifferent. Some customers were leaving quickly. It felt a bit tense. I prefer Hottei-chan in this area.

This shop located between Daimon Station and Zojoji Temple. From the outside, it looks like it has a pretty large capacity with the second floor visible, but it's not that big. There is only a counter seat, and table seats are only available on the second floor. The menu mainly focuses on yakitori. It seems like an ordinary yakitori shop, but upon closer inspection, their specialty is "Shizuoka". They offer items like "Shizuoka Sour" (mystery drink) and Shizuoka specialty "Shizuoka Oden". The price of 150 yen per skewer may seem a bit expensive, but the portion size is quite satisfying. The volume of two skewers for 290 yen is comparable to Torikizoku. Of course, we also ordered the Shizuoka Oden. It is dark and has a rich flavor. As someone from Kansai who prefers light flavors, I quite like it and would eat it if I find it. The simmered dish had a bit too much chewy texture in the tendons for my taste. It's a matter of preference. However, the tofu soaked in the broth is excellent. I wish they would just serve that alone. We had plenty to drink and eat for around 3500 yen. It's affordable. If you're in the Daimon area, be sure to give it a try.

Friendly customer service is always appreciated. I visited this restaurant on a holiday night with a lot of luggage, including a carrier for my companion. Since we had an early start the next day, we decided to skip exploring the back alleys and headed towards Hamamatsucho Station. As we were waiting at a traffic light, unsure of where to go, we spotted this place right in front of us. The first floor only had a counter, but there was seating on the second floor as well. The staff kindly squeezed us in at the counter, allowing us to place our luggage in a corner. They even came out to help with the step at the entrance, showing off their handsome side. The young staff members, working diligently and in good spirits, had a great dynamic between them. It's rare to find such a soft atmosphere in a kitchen like this. Even when they made strict comments, it was clear there was a lot of love and camaraderie between them. The clientele that day consisted of local families, regulars, and foreign tourists. To start, I ordered a refreshing lemonade highball and some crispy garlic powder-coated fried chicken. The portion was generous even for a small size. The dumplings were delicious as usual. The recommended dish of creamy sea urchin croquettes was a hit - freshly fried, hot, and oozing with white cream and sea urchin in the middle. There were options like Shizuoka Highball and black hanpen, so it seemed like a place that focused on local ingredients. The simmered dish had a nice balance of light flavors, with well-seasoned vegetables. The smoked pickled radish with cream cheese disappeared quickly - it went perfectly with the drinks. The grilled rice ball, slowly cooked on the grill after being generously coated with sauce, was a rare find and absolutely delicious. You could order skewers individually, which was convenient. The restaurant had just the right amount of customers for a holiday, making it a comfortable place to spend the evening. The staff even helped us carry our luggage outside when we left, which was greatly appreciated. Thank you for the wonderful meal!
