I was checking out a takoyaki and Akashiyaki restaurant a while ago. They open at 4 pm for dinner service, so I hadn't been able to visit. I called because I was craving Akashiyaki. They said they had a table available, so I drove over. I relied on my car navigation system to get there, and when I arrived, I realized it was the same street as an Indian curry restaurant I had recently visited. I parked in a coin parking lot and headed to the restaurant. The sign said Osaka okonomiyaki and Akashiyaki, which looked nice. The exterior had a lot of character. Inside, it still had that old-fashioned charm. I was seated at a table in the corner as recommended. The place was almost full, and everyone seemed to be having a good time. When I ordered takoyaki, they said it would come in a plate, which was enough for two people. They asked if I wanted yakisoba or okonomiyaki, and suggested okonomiyaki because you can take the leftovers home. It was my first time there, so I followed their recommendation. The Akashiyaki had a crispy skin and the octopus was a bit chewy. The okonomiyaki had the usual sauce and mayonnaise, but surprisingly, a lot of mustard too. It wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be. The owner and his wife were running the restaurant with a smile. I didn't realize it when I first sat down, but when I moved to another table to eat the okonomiyaki, I saw they had daily specials like conger eel hot pot, blowfish, whale sashimi, etc. It's a great place to enjoy delicious food, drinks, and conversation.

One day, I went to eat Akashiyaki for the first time. It was my first experience with Akashiyaki. Cheers with beer! The Fugu skin with ponzu sauce was crunchy and delicious. The Hamaguri sake-steamed was huge and tasty! The soup was incredibly delicious! I was told by the chef to crush it well in the Akashiyaki broth and eat it. I followed his instructions and it was fluffy and delicious! The octopus was huge! The chef used a spatula to crush it well while cooking. I only had one beer, and then I had umeboshi sour. The chef put the plum in the glass and told me to crush it well. I followed his instructions and it was delicious! He said they specially ordered it. It was delicious! While drinking, the island pickled radish arrived by delivery, and we had it with dried bonito and red pickled ginger. It was very delicious. The small bag that the chef showed me was priced at 10,000 yen. Wow, island pickled radish is a luxury item! Seafood pork tamagoyaki soba for 4 servings... I was already full and couldn't eat much, so I said I would take the leftovers as a souvenir. It was cooked more and more. It smelled good! Topped with bonito flakes and red pickled ginger, it was complete! Before I knew it, I had finished it all...haha. We drank and ate with 4 people, including a bottle of shochu, and it cost only 3,500 yen per person. Lastly, the chef recommended that we try the river shrimp, but I decided not to try it. As we were leaving, the person at the next table was eating tempura of river shrimp and it looked really delicious, so I told my friend that we should come back to try it together! However, he said, "It's okay, but you might gain weight again if you eat too much, you know?"... Oh no, I ate too much again...

It's really delicious. I like okonomiyaki, but my favorite is Akashiyaki. I also look forward to the seasonal seafood. In addition, there is a special menu that is only available for a few days at the beginning of January each year. It's the special beef stew made by the owner over several days. It's so delicious that some fans eagerly await this time of year. The sours are also very tasty. I love the plum sour and plum wine sour here. It's fun to drink while listening to the owner's entertaining stories. The signboard dog at the restaurant is a Shih Tzu named Mikan. He is friendly and cute. And recently, a handsome young apprentice seems to have joined the team.
