Visited in November 2022. My phone battery was running low so I entered the store. The seat occupancy rate was around 30% at 3:35 PM. Even though there were only two people ahead of me in line, I had to wait for over 10 minutes for just one drink. Maybe they don't have enough staff? There are 8 counter seats with power outlets facing the street. I hope the Shibuya Center-gai store will also create power outlet seats soon.

I got off at Asakusa Station. It is closer to take the Tsukuba EXP Line from the Asakusa Line and Ginza Line. Near attractions like Hanayashiki, Don Quijote, and Marugoto Nippon, there is Asakusa ROX, but the McDonald's is located on the 1st floor of ROX2G. I couldn't find the ROX2G location on the McDonald's official website, so I had to look at the floor map of ROX to finally find the store. I visited on a weekday before 1 pm to dine in and get the Happy Meal with the USJ collaboration JAWS toy. The prices already include tax. I ordered the Chicken Nugget Happy Meal for 500 yen and chose McDonald's fries as a side. It had been a while since I visited McDonald's, and I noticed the design of the nugget and fries packaging had changed, featuring an American-style character saying "I'M SPEEDEE." I wondered who was supposed to be speedy. The staff at the register didn't seem to be. I felt like the order of questions asked by McDonald's staff had become the same recently. They would ask about the set first, then the side menu, followed by the drink, and finally if it was for dining in or takeout. So even if I said "I'll eat in" at the beginning, I had to say it again at the end. This extra step made the process less speedy. However, the food quality was consistent across all stores, so I felt that the choice for customers came down to location convenience and customer service.

At McDonald's now, they are collaborating with Fujiya's Milky. The products are Milky-flavored McShake and Waffle Cone. They are being sold with a parody twist, saying "Keeping the Milky taste~♪". They are reasonably priced, so I bought both and tried them in the store! Now, the taste... [Waffle Cone] This one had strawberry-flavored crushed cone sprinkled on top. It doesn't seem to be Milky-flavored ice cream, more like vanilla ice cream with Milky sauce drizzled on top. Therefore, there is some variation in taste in your mouth. However, it feels like the Milky flavor is slightly lacking in the taste. Both are clearly novelty items, but I was hoping they would break through that and surprise me. But, in the end, they were just novelty items. I think I'll stick with plain vanilla.
