We went to see "How Do You Live?" with my husband and daughter. We ordered a popcorn pair set for 1300 yen and two hot dogs with chili sauce for 500 yen each. The movie was interesting, and the popcorn and hot dogs were delicious. The hot dog buns tasted like the ones from Doutor Coffee. It was a treat to eat outside after a long time. Thank you for the meal.

After a long time, I went to 109 Cinemas Futakotamagawa to watch a movie. I had bought a cost-effective movie ticket in advance and had also reserved my seat, so everything went smoothly. However, I felt a little hungry, so I looked around the concession stand inside the theater. Last time, I couldn't finish the popcorn because there was too much, so this time I decided to go for a convenient hot dog.
- Hot Dog (450 yen): A thin, long, crispy wiener in a firm and chewy dog bun. Surprisingly tasty. I underestimated it because it was from the theater's shop.
The movie itself, "Despicable Me" with the Minions, was chaotic and as entertaining as always. The ending surprised me... (I won't spoil it here, haha).
- Minions Towel Limited to Movie Theaters (1,100 yen).
However, Theater 9 has over 200 seats, but during the Saturday noon showing, around 12 o'clock, the front half of the theater was completely empty. I wonder if the Minions are no longer popular?

I can enjoy watching movies with proper COVID-19 measures in place. And of course, my favorite movie snack is popcorn! I love caramel flavor. The medium size is 450 yen, and I can finish it in no time. If there's only a 100 yen difference between the medium and small sizes, I'll choose the medium. The taste is the same, but today the kernels seem smaller... or maybe it's just me. The carry-out bag costs 10 yen. Isn't that a bit expensive? Many people end up taking home leftovers, so maybe they could lower the price a bit. I wonder if there are people who actually bring their own bags for popcorn.

When I was in elementary school, my friends and I used to bring onigiri or bento boxes made by our grandmothers when we went to see movies together. But now it's against the rules, so let's buy something from this concession stand where bringing in food is allowed. The food menu includes hot dogs, fried chicken, and french fries, among other things. But when watching a movie, popcorn is a must, right? So I bought a half & half medium size popcorn with salt and caramel flavors for 450 yen. But wow, there's so much popcorn in the package, like a washbasin at a public bath! I couldn't finish it at the movie theater because it was too much, so I brought it home. Even after two days, it's still not finished, and now I'm using it as a snack with my beer. By the way, popcorn always comes in pairs, doesn't it? Remembering at Futako Tamagawa.

When I watch movies, I often buy caramel popcorn, and this shop puts the popcorn box in a plastic bag, so I can carry it without spilling, which is nice. However, sometimes the popcorn seasoning is quite light, and there are hits and misses depending on the day... This time, the flavor was properly seasoned, so I was happy (*^^*) They accept electronic money, and for cash, they have a machine where you insert the money, which I think is convenient and hygienic. There is an area where you can relax on a bench while watching projection mapping until the start of the show, making it a comfortable movie theater.

On June 20th, I visited "MIB International IMAX3D" for the first time. Before entering the theater, I purchased a popcorn set for 750 yen, which came with iced tea and a mix of caramel and regular popcorn. The popcorn was handed to me without a tray, so I assumed that was how it was done. However, others who came in later were given trays for their popcorn. Maybe I should have asked for one? It was a bit inconvenient to have to hold the popcorn throughout the movie. But the taste of the caramel-coated and salty popcorn mix was delicious and satisfying. Popcorn is definitely a must-have for watching movies.

The café latte was too sweet!! It had a slight almond flavor? I thought it would help keep me alert during the long movie viewing, but it was too sweet and I couldn't drink it. I regret not getting oolong tea instead. Just a note for next time.

"I came to watch 'Shoplifters'. Among the 109 Cinemas, Futakotamagawa has the latest facilities and the seats in each theater are spacious and comfortable. The shop next to the ticket booth is a bit premium and stylish. They have the usual popcorn and hot dogs, but also offer four types of craft beer, premium popcorn, bakery bread, donuts, tomato & mozzarella pizza, etc. The taste of the 'Royal Milk Tea' for 350 yen was just average. In the lobby/mini-theater where you can relax while waiting for the opening, you can enjoy milk tea and watch projection mapping. 109 Cinemas, like the now closed Granberry Mall, has a spacious lobby where you can have a coffee or eat ice cream with your kids before entering the theater. Well, it's almost time for the movie to start. Thank you for the meal."

At the 109 Cinemas in Futakotamagawa, there is a shop that offers drinks and light snacks. You order over the counter, similar to fast food. On this day, I purchased a coffee and a biscuit. I enjoyed them at my seat before the screening.
- Coffee: Slightly bitter with a strong flavor.
- Cookie (Chocolate): The cookie was well-baked with rich chocolate chips.

The movie theater in Futako Tamagawa is stylish and lovely. At the entrance, there is a shop selling craft beer with 4 varieties. I chose the 496 on the far right of the menu. I also got some popcorn - a mix of premium cheese and caramel flavors. The combination was delicious, the seats were spacious and comfortable, and the theater was almost empty before the movie started. Watching "IT" while eating and drinking was too scary for me. The story is like a horror version of Stand By Me, but the music and visuals were just too frightening.

I enjoyed watching "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" with a side of "Salt & Caramel Popcorn" at the theater. The movie was really interesting! The IMAX theater in Futako Tamagawa had a 12-channel next-generation sound system, which was very powerful.
