I met up with my senior after a long time and we decided to have a drink together. It was convenient to find a place right after getting off at Asakusa Station, and the atmosphere was nice! The food and drinks at this izakaya were delicious. I was happy to receive a share of the sake. The food was tasty, the drinks were good, and the atmosphere was pleasant. There were cute customers and the staff was friendly. I'm not sure about the cost since my senior treated me.

This chain restaurant is not related to Asakusa, but if you find yourself in Asakusa and struggling to find a popular local restaurant for a meal, I recommend this place. It's always quiet and you can enjoy your meal in peace. The portions are decent and the taste is good. I had the Shokado Bento for 1,500 yen this time, which was quite filling. The sashimi here is always delicious, probably because they have a good selection of fish. They also have private rooms and counter seats, which are great for a date night. The prices are reasonable, making it a good option for dinner as well. It's a hidden gem that is always empty. Thank you for the meal.

I used it for lunch. It seems they also offer bento boxes. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was calm and the menu had a wide variety. The food was quite delicious. The service was also calm. I felt that the cost performance was good.

The outside temperature is 29 degrees, but it feels like over 30 degrees. I found a restaurant with a cool and comfortable atmosphere and a very appetizing lunch menu. Inside, there are lovely table seats with sunken kotatsu-style seating in one corner, reminiscent of a tea room. I would love to come back at night and enjoy drinks there. The only downside was that the tea in the pot was too hot for the weather, but they kindly provided ice water. The tea was delicious once it cooled down. The Matsukado bento was as delicious as I had imagined, with each dish being very tasty.

I visited the restaurant around 5:00 PM on a weekday in March 2023. I didn't know that there are several branches in Tokyo. I ordered Sawa-no-i, white wine, lemon sour, and my companion ordered salted orange sour and apple sour. The oyster and fresh seaweed gratin was delicious. There were many dishes using oysters on the menu. We also ordered deep-fried tofu with cheese, stir-fried cheese, bamboo shoots, and menma, and potato salad. It was a bit inconvenient that there were no touch panels or bells to call the staff when ordering. But the atmosphere was nice, so I would like to try other menu items as well.

I had lunch at the Japanese-style BAL in front of Asakusa Station. The interior of the restaurant is lovely with wooden counters and painted walls. They had a variety of dishes using seafood and yam.
- Order:
- Mountain kake tempura rice bowl and Sanuki udon set for 1000 yen
The tempura included shrimp, eggplant, bell pepper, and pumpkin. The rice bowl had yam on top, adding a slimy texture to the crispy tempura. It goes well with the tempura sauce. The Sanuki udon, while lacking firmness, was comforting on a cold day.
There were also tatami mat seats and sunken kotatsu seats available.

As the daytime drinking in Asakusa was reaching its peak, it was already time to consider whether to catch the last Shinkansen back to Kansai! It was past 7 pm, and after checking the last train was before 9 pm, I decided to visit one more bar. However, when drinkers gather, they tend to stay until the last train! This bar had a wide variety of Japanese sake. I enjoyed a platter of oden and shirako with ponzu sauce, along with some Japanese sake. I couldn't remember the specific brand, but since it was cold, I opted for hot sake. The reliable deliciousness of Kuzuryu's hot sake never disappoints. Now, it's time to head back to Kansai. I'm quite drunk, so I hope I can make it back safely! I have had the experience of ending up in Okayama instead of Hakata when I drank, so I promised myself not to board a train to Hakata while drinking. Today, I will take the last train to Shin-Osaka, and then take a local train, so I can sleep on the train until the last stop and take a taxi home within a reasonable distance. I'm relieved to have safely arrived at the nearest station as I write this. Thank you for the meal!

The party was held at a place called Enbu, which seemed to be managed by Daisho. The course was 5000 yen with all-you-can-drink. The dishes included cod milt with ponzu sauce, sashimi of sea bream, tuna, and yellowtail, grilled herring and onion, salmon and salmon roe salad, stewed tripe, oyster fry, soba noodles, warabi mochi with black sugar ice cream. The portion for each dish was small, but the sashimi was decently good with a traditional and tasty seasoning.

I was rejected by the restaurant I initially tried to go to, so I visited this place about 5 minutes away. It seems like people are starting to come back and the lively atmosphere is returning. The first dish served was a sushi-like dish with sea urchin, which was delicious. We also ordered other seafood dishes like shimesaba. There were 5 of us, and everything was just right (just like the name of the restaurant!) - perfect for enjoying a drink and meal.

Today is Tuesday. Places like Kamiya are closed. Asakusa seems to have many places closed on Tuesdays. So, I visited this place located underground next door. Although I have passed by many times, this is my first visit. The lunch menu mainly consists of seafood bowls. Today, I ordered the daily special for 980 yen, which was "Beef Tendon Miso Stew". I sat alone at the counter, which was set up for three people to maintain social distancing. When the dish was served, I was surprised! The Beef Tendon Miso Stew was three times bigger than I had imagined. You can tell by comparing it to the rice bowl, for example. Although it was labeled as beef tendon, I couldn't find any tendons, just a chunk of meat that tasted very beefy. The slight earthy taste of burdock was a bit off-putting. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was very nice, so I would come back if the food was a bit tastier and cheaper. I enjoyed my meal today. Thank you.

I sat down at a good time, enjoying my meal while sipping on some drinks. Once again, I randomly walked into a restaurant for dinner and it turned out to be a great choice. I was satisfied. The freshly made tempura was delicious. I would love to come back when I visit Asakusa again.

I visited Tokyo Sake BAL Shiomai for lunch. The restaurant is located next to Kamiya Bar, on the B1F of a building. You leave your shoes in the shoebox at the entrance. The interior has a Japanese-style izakaya atmosphere, and despite the narrow entrance, the restaurant is quite spacious. I thought it was a small individual shop, but it seems to be part of the Shoya group. The lunch menu ranges from 880 yen and is mainly Japanese cuisine. I ordered the famous Ton-Teiki set meal (¥990). The set meal includes the main dish, rice, side dishes, miso soup, and pickles. The rice is generously served in a large teacup. The Ton-Teiki is topped with plenty of raw onions and served with demiglace sauce. The onions are fresh and not spicy, but I felt that the flavor would have been better if they were placed underneath the Ton-Teiki. It has a relatively refined taste, but I prefer Ton-Teiki with garlic. The miso soup was pork miso soup, and the side dish was a scrambled egg with ankake sauce. It was a very filling lunch.

In Asakusa, many restaurants are known for having long lines during lunchtime, but this place is located on the B1F floor, so it's not as noticeable on the busy Kaminarimon Street, making it easier to get a table. It's an izakaya called "Shiomi" so their lunch menu has a casual izakaya style. On this day, I had the "Big Chicken Karaage Set Meal" which was really huge, made with chicken thigh meat fried in plenty of oil. It was delicious when paired with grated daikon and ponzu sauce. If you're a meat lover and craving a hearty meal, I recommend this place.

I often use this restaurant and it has a calm atmosphere, making it easy to talk. The interior is beautifully decorated in a Japanese style. The Japanese food and sake are all delicious, especially the course meals which offer great value. Among the dishes, I recommend the tsukune, which is also popular among others. I have been coming back many times (*´꒳`*) I think the reviews should be even higher! Thank you for your continued service♡

The food and drinks exceeded my expectations. Since I didn't have a reservation, I was seated at the counter. You can watch the chef cooking while enjoying your drink.

I ordered the bonito tataki udon set for lunch. The taste was quite ordinary, but the portion size was decent, so I felt satisfied. Considering the prices around Asakusa, it may be a good deal.

After visiting Kaguya Bar. The roasted broad beans were delicious! The cherry blossoms were also blooming beautifully. I really like Asakusa.
