I always wanted to go to this restaurant but it was always full. They open at 6:00 pm, but they let me in at 5:30 pm. They served clam cold soup and tempura as appetizers. The clams were big and delicious! The medium fatty tuna and squid sashimi were fresh and tasty. The wakame salad was excellent and healthy. The pickled Chinese cabbage with yuzu was lightly flavored and delicious. The half-size grilled hokke fish was thick and fatty, really good! They also sell sashimi platters and grilled fish at the store. Since there is no fish market nearby, I'll buy from here next time and enjoy it with drinks at home! Some local housewives were buying 7-8 items to take home. The cost performance is great!

"Uohira" stands just a short walk from the north exit of Hatsudai Station, through the shopping street. At first glance, it looks like a fish market - can you really drink here? The interior is simple, with tables and chairs lined up. We visited at 5:00 pm and sat at a spacious table, ordering a draft beer to start. We toasted with our friends and waited for the famous sashimi to arrive, which we had pre-ordered. The menu is centered around sashimi, but also offers grilled fish, simmered dishes, and even meat dishes. As we looked through the menu, a variety of appetizers arrived, each different depending on the number of people - a thoughtful touch. The appetizers included char siu, simmered clams, marinated clams, ankimo (monkfish liver), sausages, and thick rolled omelette, all surprisingly delicious and satisfying on their own! We enjoyed the appetizers while waiting, and after about 20 minutes, the eagerly awaited sashimi platter (special size) arrived. Wow! What a generous portion! The platter included medium fatty tuna, bonito, flounder, sardines, mackerel, ark shell, shrimp, octopus, and more. Each piece was incredibly fresh and delicious, with the medium fatty tuna and sardines particularly standing out. We couldn't resist ordering a Japanese sake, "Tateyama," to pair with the sashimi, which had a dry and refreshing taste that complemented the sashimi perfectly. Feeling content, we decided to try the specialty "Wagyu Roast Beef with Potato Salad" and the side dish "Conger Eel." The conger eel arrived first, cooked in a simmered style with a delicate flavor that brought out the eel's goodness. Finally, the Wagyu roast beef with potato salad was served - another huge portion! The roast beef was thick, tender, and full of marbling, bursting with meaty flavor and garlic-infused sauce. The potato salad was simple and homey, a perfect palate cleanser. The dishes were not only generous in size but also exceeded our expectations in taste! And incredibly affordable too! The charming hostess added to the overall satisfaction of the experience. - Menu: ・Appetizers (assorted) : Unknown ・Sashimi Platter (special size) : 6000 yen ・Wagyu Roast Beef with Potato Salad : 1750 yen ・Conger Eel : 700 yen

The interior of the store has been slightly renovated. When you enter the store, they will come to you shortly, so you can sit at an available table and wait. They provide a different appetizer for each person, which is very enjoyable and all delicious. The sashimi assortment is a large size for two people, but can be shared by four. The grilled fish and roast beef are must-order dishes every time. If you want to try a variety of dishes, it is recommended to go with four or more people. I went after a long time, but the taste and atmosphere remain unchanged. The lady owner was also lively, which was nice to see.

The roast beef half comes with a generous amount of salad and is satisfying on its own. The sashimi platter is also impressive, with a variety of fresh seafood including shellfish and tuna. The sticky appetizer goes well with rice and is perfect for those looking for a hearty meal or for sharing with friends over drinks. The sake selection is decent, with the Junmai Ginjo Kankouichi being a standout choice. The restaurant has a casual fish market vibe, giving off a rural feel.

The restaurant claimed to specialize in natural fish. After watching a play, I made a reservation and visited. The table was set with various appetizers like tamagoyaki, sausages, and chikuwa. The sashimi platter included 7 types of fish, including impressive horse mackerel, bonito, mackerel, and tuna. The shellfish selection was also delicious, with hotate, akagai, and aoyagi served with both meat and siphons. The grilled eggplant was unique, with plenty of oil, green onions, bonito flakes, and grated ginger. I also ordered grilled flatfish, which came with a poached egg. The cold udon was simple but tasty, with a poached egg on top. I enjoyed Super Dry beer, Musashi sake, and Sasashuku sake. The atmosphere was lively, and even though it was almost closing time, there were still customers enjoying themselves. The unique vibe of the place and the satisfying meal made it a memorable experience.

On a regular night at the Fudomichi Shopping Street in Hatsudai. The shop used to be a fish market and was renovated into an izakaya. The exterior still looks like a fish market with a curtain letting out light, making it hard to notice from the street. When you enter, there are long tables on the right side, set up for banquets. On the left side, there are small tables for two, where we were seated. The interior lacks any charm or atmosphere. The kitchen in the back still gives off a fish market vibe. The brisk woman owner greeted us, while the intimidating chef was waiting for orders in the back. Our order included: Large bottle of beer - 650 yen (Black Label, option for Dry) Tosa Tsuru Honkaku Karakuchi (sake) - 600 yen for a glass Assorted sashimi platter - 1,700 yen per person Potato salad - 600 yen Wagyu beef tataki - 1,000 yen There was a 300 yen table charge, and the appetizer was 300 yen as well, featuring a generous portion of maguro sashimi. The potato salad that came next was overwhelming, easily enough for three people, piled on top of shredded cabbage and a large amount of seaweed, dressed with sesame dressing. The owner encouraged us to eat a lot with a smile. The handmade potato salad was delicious. Then came the sashimi platter, shown in the photo, which was a serving for one person. The platter included fresh ingredients like sea urchin, scallops, ark shell, mantis shrimp, bonito tataki, tuna belly, horse mackerel, and sea bream, each with thick slices. The quality and quantity for the price were impressive. The wagyu beef tataki was also beautifully presented with plenty of vegetables. Overall, the cost performance was amazing, and with just three dishes, two people were more than full. Even on a weekday, the large table on the right was bustling with local gatherings, birthday parties, and neighborhood celebrations. The taste may not be like a high-class kaiseki restaurant, but it is definitely above average for an evening drink with fresh ingredients. The pleasant atmosphere created by the friendly owner was enjoyable, and I ended up getting quite drunk on Tosa Tsuru. It's great to have such a nice place in the neighborhood. The Fudomichi Shopping Street in Hatsudai seems to have more hidden gems. Oh, one thing to note, since this used to be a fish market, you have to walk a bit to the back to find the restroom. For first-timers, assistance from the owner or regulars is recommended. The owner made me feel happy and full. Thank you very much.

I went with two colleagues. When in doubt, go for the assorted sashimi. Three servings of sashimi is enough to make you full! We started with beer and then switched to sake. The sake selection was good and reasonably priced. We enjoyed drinking and eating for around 3,000 yen per person. The chef, who had been on a break, returned and the hostess was in great spirits. The place gets busy quite early (around 7 pm), so by 9 pm it becomes more relaxed. The atmosphere of the restaurant seems to change depending on the time. If you have a large group, it's better to go early, but if it's a small group, going later might be more enjoyable.

Fresh sashimi and appetizers are all delicious. The thick-sliced roast beef is refreshing and tasty. The potato salad from the side menu is also refreshing and hard to stop eating. The fish is fresh, reasonably priced, and delicious. The grilled Atka mackerel is satisfying even in a half portion. It's also nice to have the lively landlady engaging in fun conversations with customers.

I tried various dishes, but the oyster butter was really delicious! It was so good that I couldn't resist getting a second serving of oyster butter haha. I think there is a season when you can eat it, but I highly recommend trying it when you have the chance! The sashimi was also fresh and satisfying with a generous portion. Ordering a variety of dishes can help you get plenty of vegetables, so if you're lacking in veggies, try ordering a lot of dishes! It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

The sashimi assortment is the best value for money. Since the pandemic, they have been selling grilled fish and other dishes outside the store, which has been very convenient. However, I deducted 2 stars for the atmosphere and customer service.

The food is delicious no matter what you order. The sashimi is delicious. The oysters are delicious. The roast beef is delicious. It's always crowded whenever you go, the restaurant is very small, and the restroom is far away, but you can eat and drink deliciously anyway.

<2015.10 First Visit> I visited this place, which is known for its delicious fish in the neighborhood. It was around 7:00 PM on a Saturday and it seemed quite crowded, but we were able to get in smoothly! The restaurant has a long layout, with seating for 3 tables of 4 people each and 4 tables for 2 people. The aisle is narrow, and there isn't much space between the neighboring tables. The design clearly reflects its origins as a fish market. The menu seems to only include items posted on the wall, but there may be items not listed as well. If you become a regular customer, they might be flexible about that! This time, we ordered a sashimi platter for one, roast beef, and grilled red snapper. We also had two appetizers and drinks. The sashimi platter for one was quite generous in portion. Just that and some sake were satisfying enough. The appetizers also had a nice touch, which could be enough for some people! There was a note saying that grilled fish takes time, so it's best to order it early. Although I wanted to try both raw and grilled fish, we ended up ordering the red snapper since mackerel and yellowtail were sold out. The red snapper was also quite tasty. The roast beef was of high quality, with a distinctive marbling. It had a sweet taste, with a sauce that had a strong garlic flavor. Underneath the roast beef, there were plenty of seaweed, bean sprouts, and cabbage. It felt like a roast beef salad! There were several types of sake available, and I chose the Shimeharitsuru to accompany the food. The restaurant is run by a couple, it seems. The husband is in the kitchen, and the wife is in the dining area. The service may not be outstanding, but it creates a comfortable environment for drinking. Overall, it feels like a good place to become a regular customer. I would like to visit again soon. Thank you for the meal! m(_ _)m

The restaurant is known for being a former fish market, and the sashimi platter was amazing, the roast beef was delicious, and we were very satisfied. From the outside, it looks like a fish market with a curtain hanging inside the glass, so you can't see inside very well. We made a reservation over the phone before going, so we were able to go straight in. The inside of the restaurant was full of locals, giving it a lively atmosphere. We started with a toast with beer. The appetizers were not one per person, but two dishes for two people. Kinpira gobou and squid sashimi. The sashimi platter was for two people. Being a former fish market, everything was very fresh! I believe it was around 2000 yen for two people, and it included abalone. There were about 8 kinds of sashimi, and it was very generous. We also had the roast beef and potato salad set, which was around 1500 yen. The roast beef was thickly sliced and very delicious. Surprisingly delicious roast beef at a fish market! We also had some sake in between. The bottle was also reasonably priced. I haven't had a chance to revisit yet, but this is a place I would like to go back to for more fish. More details are available on my blog! http://mikan767676.appspot.com/2015/09/7548001/

I'm really sorry, I didn't expect it to be so delicious. From the moment I entered the restaurant until I tasted the food. On Friday, after work, a senior colleague suggested, "There's a place where you can eat delicious fish, let's go there!" So we headed to a quiet-looking shopping street. And here? This place? That was the feeling I got when we entered the quaint restaurant. The restaurant was long and narrow, probably only able to seat about 24 people. The smoke from cigarettes filled the air, and the distance between tables was very narrow. The menu for food and drinks was posted on the wall, and the drink menu was a bit hard to read due to its age. However, the food here was truly delicious. Not just the fish, but all the dishes! The appetizers were not your usual fare - we got firefly squid with vinegar miso, white fish carpaccio, tuna and avocado, all different kinds of appetizers! The firefly squid was incredibly tasty, and my colleague even ordered an additional serving. We also had a sashimi platter for two, Tsukiji-style rolled omelette, grilled saury fish, sweet potato tempura, and a special roast beef and potato salad. The grilled saury was delicious, and the sweet potato tempura was made with actual fish paste and not just a pre-made product. The sashimi platter was so luxurious that it left me speechless, and the restaurant proudly displayed a sign saying "We only serve natural ingredients," and the fish was not at all fishy! What surprised me the most was how delicious the roast beef was! My colleague, who seemed to be a regular, ordered a special roast beef and potato salad, and we followed suit. It was incredibly delicious! The tenderness of the meat, the acidity of the sauce, the seaweed, onions, and lettuce underneath - everything was delicious! The potato salad brought back nostalgic flavors! Despite the huge portion, it was so delicious that we ended up ordering two servings. A restaurant with such delicious fish, roast beef, and potato salad is rare! I definitely want to come back again. This time, I came with my beloved colleagues for a relaxing time, and I want to come back again. It was a delightful and relaxing time. And to top it off, something amazing happened! A certain handsome Johnny's member was there! He seemed to have been brought by a regular customer's friend. The three of us were in a state of shock, not just sneaking glances but staring, and since the tables were close, we even talked to the 4 people at the neighboring table, "Isn't that ○○ over there!?" Everyone was excited! In the end, we boldly asked for a handshake. Even though he was enjoying his private time, he kindly agreed, and I'm truly grateful. And not just the women, but even the men at the neighboring table were thrilled to shake hands! It was a Friday filled with smiles and joy.
