In my opinion, "Ikedayama Garden" is the perfect restaurant to visit after a health check-up. They offer a wide variety of healthy menu options, as well as hearty dishes for those who want something more substantial. The restaurant provides satisfying meals that are good for the body, such as vegetable-packed salads, delicious soups, and healthy main dishes. It is recommended for those who are health-conscious. Additionally, they also offer heartier options like curry and hamburg steak, allowing customers to enjoy a variety of meal choices.

Today, I went to the NTT East Japan Kanto Hospital in Gotanda for a human body check-up. The lunch was delicious, so I decided to eat there again this year. Since I just finished the examination, I opted for a smaller meal. Last year, I had a set meal, but this time I chose the "plate" option. Roast beef salad, hamburger, curry... All the dishes I love, so I had a satisfying lunch.

There is a café inside NTT Kanto Hospital. When you enter the main entrance, take the escalator to the 2nd floor and walk straight ahead. On the left side, there is a café, and further back, there is a restaurant. I often use the café when I come here. It is located inside the hospital and has simple tables and chairs, but offers a variety of drinks. They also have several types of bread. On this day, I had a latte along with some bread. It is convenient being inside the hospital. Payment is cash only. 2023.2.20 ⭐︎3.21

This year, I have been accompanying my mother to her medical appointments quite frequently. She is getting older and needs more preventive vaccinations, which is one of the reasons for the increase in visits. On this particular day, her eye exam results were not good, so she had to undergo additional tests with eye drops to dilate her pupils. I've experienced this before, and it makes it difficult to walk outside on a sunny day. We had planned to go to an Italian restaurant nearby for lunch, but we had to change our plans and eat at the cafe restaurant inside the hospital. I ordered the beef stew for 1300 yen with 846 kcal, which came with bread, salad, and soup. It was just reheated from the central kitchen, but the demi-glace sauce was tasty and the meat was tender (although the potatoes and carrots were a bit too soft, possibly from being frozen once). The meal also included two pieces of bread and a fresh salad. The calorie information was clearly displayed, and with the addition of my mother's two pieces of tonkatsu curry, the total might have been around 1000 calories. It turned out to be a light lunch, but for the price, it felt like a good deal. The restaurant had a bright and airy atmosphere with many seats overlooking the rooftop garden. Compared to the hospital meals I had years ago during my stay, this was much tastier (although the hospital food wasn't bad, it was low in salt and sometimes not filling enough after giving birth). If this restaurant had been available back then, I would have definitely escaped from my hospital room to eat here! After lunch, I safely escorted my mother in a taxi back home from the hospital. Stay tuned for the possible surgery follow-up!

This is the hospital cafeteria where I was hospitalized for a broken bone. It used to be Tanita, but recently it has changed to this place. It has an atmosphere that is more like a restaurant than just a cafeteria. Pork cutlet curry for 1,180 yen, omurice for 1,280 yen, salt ramen for 900 yen. All of them are delicious in a safe way. The curry has a sweet taste at first, but a spicy kick comes later. The crispy pork cutlet is thick, which might be a bit too much. The salt ramen comes with a large serving of char siu and was quite good. With prices around 1,000 yen, you can enjoy almost all the menu items, and the portions are decent as well. If this is the quality you can get at a hospital, then it's definitely good.

From Gotanda Station East Exit, cross the rotary, pass Aoyama clothing store on the right, and before Big Echo, there is a hospital shuttle bus. I decided to take a ride on it and arrived at the hospital. After hand sanitizing and temperature check at the entrance, I entered the building with a high ceiling. I took the escalator to the second floor and went straight ahead. There is a café on the left, and a restaurant on the right. It faces a courtyard called "Nagomi." Before the pandemic, you could enter and exit from the courtyard side, but now you can only go through the hospital's main entrance. As I walked straight through the store, there was a dining area for users of the health checkup on the right, and the Ikedayama dining area on the left. I chose a seat with a view of the courtyard, and a staff member brought me water and a menu book to take my order. Due to the pandemic, they have changed their operating style slightly with shortened hours. I ordered the "Toast Morning Set" (580 yen) with orange juice. It arrived in less than 5 minutes. The orange juice had a nice balance of sweetness and acidity. The 8-slice toast came with butter, a boiled egg, and yogurt. The toast was not much in quantity but having butter was appreciated. The boiled egg was warm and easy to peel, perfectly boiled for over 12 minutes. The yolk was still soft. The yogurt was on the sweet side. They provide WiFi, and I spent some time editing work. They only accept cash for payment, no d payment. I paid 580 yen. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I had a human body check-up at NTT East Japan Kanto Hospital and had lunch there. Compared to the lunch I had two years ago, the menu has improved significantly, with 11 choices now available. I ordered the "Ikedayama Garden Set" which included tempura, roast beef salad, beef stewed in red wine, grilled fish, and more. The variety of dishes was rich and delicious.

NTT East Japan Kanto Hospital restaurant visit after a long time. I decided to have breakfast as I have to wait for over an hour for blood tests and CT scan. I ordered "Sweet Shrimp Soba (cold) 880 yen", "Salad 200 yen", and "Apple Juice 180 yen". The tempura sweet shrimp was hot and delicious. The soba broth was light and tasty enough to drink.

This is a cafeteria inside the hospital with a nice view of the garden outside. I ordered a toast set for 580 yen during the morning hours. It came with regular toast, boiled egg, and yogurt in a cup. The taste was average, but the atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable. It's a unique experience being in a hospital setting.

I visited NTT Kanto Hospital in Higashi-Gotanda. This place used to be called "Kanto Teishin Hospital." Kanto Teishin Hospital was part of the Denden Public Corporation, while Tokyo Teishin Hospital was part of the Postal Service. At the entrance, there was hand sanitizing and temperature checks, and people wearing nose-out masks were warned. Inside the building, there is a cafe called "Ikedayama Garden Cafe" when you go up the escalator. The back is a restaurant, and the front is a cafe. There was a carbon dioxide concentration meter. I enjoyed my coffee while looking at the garden. The coffee came in a coffee cup, which was refreshing as I was used to paper cups recently. It seems you need a security card to go out to the garden. Patients were taking a stroll. It's a bit of a unique cafe in Gotanda. Thank you for the meal. <Infection prevention list> Hand sanitizer: ✔️ Ventilation: ✔️ Social distancing: ✔️ Partitions, seat spacing Staff wearing masks: ✔️ Temperature check at entry: None

After finishing the hospital examination, I had a lunch set at this restaurant. For a moment, I imagined it would be like typical hospital food, but it was pleasantly different. It had a lot of vegetables and was low in salt, seeming to be good for health. The rice was mixed grain rice. The daikon radish absorbed the essence of clams and was cooked deliciously.

After my grandmother's check-up, we decided to have lunch at the restaurant inside the hospital before heading home. The menu had a wide variety of options from Japanese to Western dishes. I had imagined that the menu would be more health-focused due to it being in a hospital, but it was just like any other outside restaurant. The food was delicious, so I would love to have lunch there again when we come for another check-up.

The restaurant is located right near Ikedayama Park. It's a perfect distance to stop by on a walk from Shirokanedai, seems good for your health (*´ω`*) It's situated in a corner of a hospital, but the layout is designed so that it doesn't intersect with the hospital's examination space, and the lighting is well thought out, so you don't feel any darkness, which is a plus (*^^*) The staff's customer service is pleasant, so you don't feel like you're in a hospital. Today, in that atmosphere, I had the curry with soft-boiled egg! It had a rich flavor with just the right amount of spiciness (*´ω`*)♡ The fluffy soft-boiled egg was a nice accent and made me feel refreshed. The vegetable consommé soup that always comes with it was also delicious.

Recently, I found a café called "Ikedayama Garden Cafe" while exploring the neighborhood. It is located inside a hospital and opens early in the morning. I ordered the curry topped with a soft-boiled egg (with soup) for around 600 yen. The curry had a good level of spiciness and flavor. It was around medium to hot in terms of spiciness, and it really lifted my spirits (*^ω^*). The staff, apart from the kitchen, seemed to be managing alone, but they were efficient and seemed experienced. The café was bright and had a lively atmosphere, unlike the typical dimness of hospitals. Many local students were also using the café. Although it may not compete with fancier restaurants or cafes nearby, the effort put into it is evident from the perspective of the customers (^^).

This is my first visit to the Western-style restaurant "Ikedayama" at the NTT East Japan Kanto Hospital. It was after 2 PM, but there were a few other customers there. The menu was limited to set meals at the dedicated counter for those who had undergone a human body check-up. The regular menu looked delicious, but the set meal here seemed to be good for the body.
