The cafe is open from the evening, and most customers are drinking alcohol, but it's still a cafe. The bearded owner is the manager, but it's a cafe. There are many regulars who drink a lot, but it's a cafe. Since the name of the place has "cafe" in it, there's no denying it. I sit at the counter and order a draft beer/Ebisu (550 yen). The hand-knitted yarn coasters and Indian-style music playing in the background do give off a cafe vibe, especially in the Koenji area. In front of me, there's what looks like the filling for taco rice, so I order taco rice (700 yen), but they forgot to cook the rice, so it will take over 30 minutes. Hmm, that's a problem. They suggest tacos instead, saying they can make them quickly. They have beef and chicken, so I decide to get one of each. Despite saying it will be quick, the staff is taking their time to prepare. And then they take out flour and add water. Are they going to make the taco shells from scratch? That might take as long as cooking rice, right? Oh, never mind, unnecessary worry. The chicken tacos are made with fried chicken with a coating, and that's all they were preparing. The tacos that arrived were made with soft taco shells. The filling had a watery sauce, making it quite difficult to eat neatly. I think it's best not to order this on a date. The chicken was more like a wrap roll than a taco. The beef had spicy minced beef and cheese. Both had chopped lettuce in them. It's ordinary, but I preferred the beef. I wish it had a bit more spiciness, maybe some Tabasco or something. I was quite full, so I left the restaurant for the night. Oh, I just realized they didn't serve any appetizers. Maybe because it's a cafe.
