[Shibuya and Omotesando area, a hidden gem] This neighborhood has surprisingly many good restaurants. It's close to Aoyama Gakuin University so prices aren't too high. The place is small with steep stairs leading up to the second floor. When you open the door on the left side, there is a slightly elevated area where about 16 people can sit with extra chairs lined up. The middle space can accommodate around 8 people. We used it for group drinking and found that the all-you-can-drink course was cost-effective. It has a hidden cafe-like dining atmosphere with old chairs that are comfortable to sit on, although the one I sat on had a hole in the seat. Overall, it was a charming place and I will definitely visit again.

I tried Guden for lunch for the first time. While many restaurants have not returned to regular business yet, Guden was operating as usual. I was thinking of getting pasta, but I saw a menu item called "17-item salad bowl with shirataki noodle soy milk soup" for 1100 yen, so I decided to go with that. Even though it wasn't busy, it took almost 20 minutes for the soy milk soup to arrive, and then the salad came with four types of dressing. The soup had a strong taste like clear soup, and the shirataki noodles weren't very filling. The salad was plentiful and delicious.

A great place for parties. Perfect for farewell parties or group gatherings. Prices are relatively reasonable! No karaoke available. The food is not exceptional, but tasty. I think it's perfect for adult fun and excitement. Thank you for the meal!

A stylish restaurant on the 2nd floor. All lunches are around 1000 yen. This is a demi-glace sauce omelette rice. Despite its appearance, it's quite a generous portion. The white rice goes well with the demi-glace sauce. The egg is nice and runny. It comes with a salad and costs around 1000 yen. The sofa chairs are really comfortable.

It is a café bar located in a back alley between Shibuya and Omotesando. The interior is quite spacious, with comfortable sofa seats where you can easily relax and get lost in the cozy atmosphere. The drink menu is diverse. The food menu has a Western-style vibe, and I decided to try the chicken curry, which was on the menu. I ordered a small portion. The curry had tender shredded chicken in a rich sauce. It wasn't just a typical curry sauce, but a base made from blended vegetables, giving it a deep, subtle sweetness and bitterness. When I asked the staff about it, they mentioned that cocoa powder was used as a secret ingredient, which made sense. It was a well-made curry that went beyond a home-cooked curry and leaned more towards a restaurant-style curry. For my drink, I chose the spiced milk chai, served with ice. The cinnamon aroma that gently spread was refreshing, and the chai had a perfect balance of sweetness. Since it's a café, the satisfaction level of the drinks was quite high. Although I didn't drink much alcohol this time, it seems like a great place to enjoy a leisurely drink. It was a wonderful hidden gem café.

Based on the recommendation from One OK Rock's Taka, I purchased the pork loin ginger stir-fry bento. My husband, who loves ginger stir-fry, also enjoyed it and found the generous portion of stir-fry delicious. If I have the chance, I would like to buy it again. Thank you for the delicious bento!

There are no photos, but we used it for a drinking party. It can accommodate about 8 people in two separate groups. There is a wide variety of alcohol available, which is great.

Lunch was served by one person, so all the service was done in silence.

I went to an event and the alcohol was delicious. The food was also tasty. I personally want to go there, but it's far so I can only go occasionally.

I would love to see a mentaiko cream omelette rice before eating it, as it looks exquisite.

Located in a narrow alley just off Aoyama Street, somewhere between Omotesando Station and Shibuya Station, this restaurant was a popular lunch spot. The sign on the street indicated that the restaurant was on the second floor, but I initially went up the stairs of the adjacent building by mistake. After realizing my error, I found the correct staircase between the two buildings, which led me to a dimly lit restaurant with a stylish atmosphere. The lunch menu offered only two options, both priced at 990 yen including a drink. I ordered the Yariika and shiso mentaiko cream pasta with an iced coffee. The pasta, however, seemed overcooked and the flavor was a bit lacking. Despite the trendy ambiance and good background music, the overall dining experience fell short today. Additionally, it was not a smoke-free environment. Overall, it was an okay lunch experience.

Cafes in Shibuya 2-chome are also fiercely competitive! I tried to go to Factory or Zero Cafe, but they were both fully booked. Luckily, I was able to get a table at this place. They offer private reservations starting from 6:00 PM. The food photos on their website look refreshing and beautiful, but the actual interior is a bit dim. In terms of being a cafe with power outlets and wifi, the other two mentioned cafes are more convenient. With no Starbucks around, it would be great if they could welcome Starbucks refugees like me.

●June 9, 2014 (Monday)●【Information】A hidden cafe in Shibuya.【Situation】I visited alone around 12 o'clock.【Environment】A unique space located at the top of a narrow staircase. The interior, with exposed concrete walls, is stylish yet has a masculine touch that I personally like. The high ceiling creates a sense of openness, and there are sofa seats available for individuals to relax comfortably.【Food】・Omelette Rice with okra, mushrooms, mentaiko cream sauce 990 yen ○The main dish is like Italian pasta, but as a big fan of omelette rice, I chose the daily special omelette rice. The sauce and omelette are served separately, allowing you to dip the rice into the sauce as you eat. It's quite unique. The rice portion is free to upsize, so I opted for a larger portion which was just right in terms of volume. The taste is surprisingly delicious for cafe food. I ended with a drink included, enjoying a cup of coffee at a leisurely pace.【Overall】The environment made me want to just lay back and relax.【Rating】★★★★★★★ 7/10

A perfect hidden gem cafe for solo lunch. Located in the Starbucks back area on Miyamasuzaka in Shibuya. It's across from Mamma and Nels Kitchen. It stood out in an area with many trattoria-style Italian restaurants. There is a sign out on the street. The entrance to the cafe is through a narrow staircase next to it, with a white door on the second floor. The interior has spacious sofa seats lined up. The counter seats facing the window are regular chairs, but it's a smoking area. I'm not a fan of sitting on a sofa that is the same height as the table during meals, so I opted for the counter seats. It was a bit dark during the day, so the window seats are recommended for reading or relaxing. I'm not sure if the cafe is divided into smoking and non-smoking sections. The music playing was a relaxed hip-hop vibe. For lunch, I had the squid and mushroom with shiso-flavored tarako pasta. The squid was nice and chewy, and the tarako coated the noodles well, which was much appreciated. The dish wasn't too soupy but had a strong flavor. The lunch salad had tomatoes on top of a green salad with a slightly spicy South Island dressing. The dressing was only on the leaves, making it a bit difficult to eat the large leaves. The coffee after the meal left a slight acidity in the mouth, had a good aroma, wasn't too bitter, and lacked any powdery taste, which I personally enjoyed. There were mostly 1-2 people from nearby offices, with more men than women. It was quiet and comfortable, making it a great place for solo dining.
