Next to LINE CUBE SHIBUYA (Shibuya Public Hall) is a Japanese restaurant located on the basement floor near Mos Burger. I was curious about it, so I decided to give it a try. Lunch prices range from 1,000 yen to 2,000 yen. When I went after 1 pm, I wanted to order the Himi Udon and Bara Chirashi Sushi, but unfortunately, the Chirashi Sushi was sold out. What a shame. Since I was craving seafood, I ended up getting the Sashimi Set Meal. The Sashimi Set Meal of the day (with small side dishes) costs 1,250 yen. Without a drink, it was 1,200 yen. I hesitated a bit because it was a little over 1,200 yen, but the set included 8 different types of sashimi. It arrived just 3 minutes after ordering! Fast! The meal also came with dried daikon radish pickles, simmered dish, miso soup with seaweed and tofu, and plump Koshihikari rice from Toyama. The rice was offered in a large serving for free, so I should have gotten that. The simmered dish contained fried tofu, konjac noodles, carrots, and what seemed like burdock root. The sashimi was sourced directly from Wajima, Toyama Shinminato, and Uozu. It included tuna, squid, shrimp, albacore tuna, yellowtail, red sea bream, and another type of sea bream. The cuts were small and elegant, but delicious. It was garnished with water pepper, chrysanthemum flowers, and seaweed crystals. Cold green tea was served in a pot, and the spacious atmosphere was calming. It seems like a good place to have a meal before or after a concert at the public hall. Payment was cash only. The person next to me ordered the Mixed Fry Set Meal, which also looked delicious. Wednesdays seem to be the "Kawase Day," where one item from the lunch menu becomes 1,000 yen. It seems like a good deal, so I'll try going on a Wednesday next time.
