When I go to a ramen shop nearby, I always end up getting lured in by the various side dishes and dessert breads. It took me a while to decide, but I finally settled on the Matcha Kururin bread for 250 yen and the palm-sized bread (plain and purple sweet potato) for 300 yen each. The Matcha Kururin bread has a bittersweet taste that lingers in a delicious way.

"Purchasing lunch bread at 'Hongobakery' was the best choice! I entered the store almost right after it opened and noticed the bread just before it was put on the shelves, but this time I resisted and chose the French toast. That choice was the right one! It had a moist texture with a subtle sweetness, and the slightly caramelized crispness created an exquisite harmony. While Hongobakery is famous for its bread, the French toast was also delicious. Next time, I want to go around a little after 9 o'clock and buy various types of bread."

I had some business to attend to in Hongo San-chome, so I stopped by Hongo Bakery. It seems like a newly opened bakery. I went to the shop around 6 pm, and there were still plenty of bread available. I bought the Ultimate Shokupan and Et Chocolat. The Ultimate Shokupan has a fine and fluffy texture with a crispy crust when toasted, indicating that it likely contains a generous amount of sugar. It's a delicious bread with a crispy exterior and a soft, chewy interior. I had it with an omelet, and it was really tasty. The Et Chocolat is a soft bread covered with a macaron chocolate. It's a delicious pastry combining the sweetness of chocolate with the chewiness of bread. The Shokupan was so good that I wish I had bought a whole loaf.

I found a delicious bakery and decided to have lunch in a sunny park. The shop was quite busy with customers. I accidentally threw away the receipt for the bread I bought, so I forgot the names, but one was a maple-flavored bread with almond slices and powdered sugar on top. The other was a hearty bread filled with sausage, spinach, cheese, and a soft-boiled egg. Both were delicious. There were many other tempting bread options, but I'll save them for next time. Thank you for the meal!

I haven't posted a review, but I've been stopping by this restaurant occasionally. When I went at the end of March, I saw a notice that the business hours were changing, so I used to buy breakfast while taking a morning walk during remote work. It's a shame. So, I went there late this time. It was past 7:30 PM, so many items were probably sold out, but I was able to buy various things.

As the name suggests, this bakery in Hongo Sanchome opens early in the morning. The prices are reasonable for this area, and all the breads are cute. There are so many different kinds of bread that you might discover a new one every time you visit. Since Valentine's Day was approaching, I bought the limited edition Etochocola. The bread with a crispy chocolate coating had a hint of bitterness, making it not too sweet and easy to eat! Next time, I want to try the cube-shaped sandwich bread.

While wandering around the area near Hongo Sancho-me, I stumbled upon a bakery that looked quite delicious. I had never noticed it before... The ultimate shokupan (600 yen including tax for 1 loaf) and Etochocola (220 yen including tax) caught my eye. The shokupan was tasty, but nothing extraordinary, while the Etochocola was like a melon pan with a delicious outer layer and a soft and fluffy inside. I could easily eat too much of it if I'm not careful, but it's definitely worth a try. The yakisoba pan also looked delicious, so I'm thinking of trying out some savory and sweet pastries next time.

At "Hongo Bakery" in Hongo, I purchased a morning bread set for 880 yen on my way back from Arakawa through the city center. The bakery is located near Hongo Sanchome Station on Marunouchi Line. I bought a rum raisin chocolate bread, matcha melon bread, and cream bread. The rum raisin chocolate bread is a brown bread with chocolate kneaded in, containing rum raisins and walnuts. The rum flavor is not too strong, making it a sophisticated taste suitable for both adults and children. The matcha melon bread has a matcha-flavored crust that is not overly sweet, combining with the buttery flavor of the dough to create a rich taste. I forgot the official name of the cream bread, but it has two types of cream, matcha and chocolate, sandwiched between soft white bread. Sliced apricot is also sandwiched in to provide a crunchy texture and enhance the flavor.

I visited during lunch break for the first time. It was quite crowded, with a line forming at the register inside the store. When a pizza-like bread with a soft-boiled egg on top was ready, I decided to add it to my order, but it turned out to be a big mistake. When I took it home, the bread was standing vertically and the toppings were all over the place. I tried to fix it somehow. The taste was delicious, but I couldn't figure out what to do with the soft-boiled egg until the end (I was sure it would be a mess and get my clothes and hands dirty), so I ended up pouring it over rice and eating it separately from the bread.

On Sunday evening, I visited the bakery after requesting in advance to hold a salt bread for me. I bought half a loaf of bread last time and it was delicious, so this time I got a whole loaf. The shrimp cutlet was just as delicious as it looked! The gratin bread, I believe, had cheese added later and was probably baked under a broiler or direct flame. The burnt flavor added a nice touch to it! Overall, everything I tried was delicious and I ended up eating too much.

I finally managed to wake up today and visited a local bakery that opens at 8 am. I arrived around 8:10 am and there were already customers inside. Even though it was just after opening, there was a good selection of bread available. I decided to buy some simple bread like two types of salt bread, sandwich bread with eggs and bacon for lunch. When I got home, I tried them for breakfast, lunch, and snack, and all of them were delicious! Especially the white truffle salt bread was even tastier than the one I waited in line for at a famous bakery! There are still many more types of bread to try, so I look forward to visiting this bakery again soon.

Bakery Exploration: New Italian Style Bakery in Hongo Sanchome Located on Hongo Street just before Hongo Sanchome Station, a new bakery with a natural and cozy exterior using plants and wood. The interior has no clear boundary between the sales area and kitchen, with an open kitchen featuring new equipment on display. This bakery specializes in Italian and Spanish-style bread and has recently expanded to Hongo with plans to open in Kimitsu in 2021. Their ultimate menu item is a fluffy and silky Mascarpone bread made with high-quality domestic ingredients like Hokkaido wheat and butter. They offer a variety of bread, including curry-flavored palm-sized bread with corn and melting cheese, as well as Cornetti, an Italian-style croissant with a crispy outer layer and soft, fluffy inside. They also serve Matcha Melon Pan, a crunchy biscuit-like exterior with a soft, fluffy interior similar to bread. This bakery offers a wide range of bread suitable for daily enjoyment, not just limited to Italian-style bread.

On Thursday at 10:30 am, I bought lunch for remote work. The selection was not very extensive, as they were still setting up the items. This bakery, Pianeta, offers a variety of products from different shops in the Hongo area. They seem to have a branch in Kimitsu as well. I always want to support them because they are working hard to serve the local community. I tried the 4 Cheese Bread for 280 yen. It was surprisingly hard, with a mild cheese flavor that was easy to enjoy. There was also a bit of bacon in it. The Red Bean Bun for 220 yen was smaller than expected but quite heavy. It was packed with filling and had a modest sweetness that was just right for adults. I also bought a hydroponic salad, which I originally planned to get from a nearby supermarket, but it was a good deal so I decided to get it here as well.

The concept of this restaurant seems to be Italian, which I find very interesting. I stopped by after a late morning and tried their food. Hand-sized bread: It's soft and moist, not too sweet, and really delicious. It's the kind of bread you want to tear apart and eat, and before you know it, it's gone. Is this the Italian way? Cornetti: This is like the signature item of the shop. I expected it to be dry and crumbly, but it was actually fluffy and had a nice texture. Is this the elegance of Italian cuisine? Gourmet bread: This wasn't just any pastry, it felt like it had some Italian elements in it. I didn't take notes... and didn't have any prior information... was it a new product? Tamabe: I thought it would be a Japanese-style dish because of the name, but it turned out to be bacon and eggs. This bread is also soft and fluffy, not the kind of bread you would expect from European cuisine, but everyday food needs to be suitable for everyone's taste. I still need to learn more about the Italian elements, but I wish this place opened earlier in the morning so more people could visit.

No.3100 is a bakery located along the busy Hongo Street, near Hongo-sanchome Station on the Toei Subway line. The bakery has a chic exterior but a stylish interior once you step inside. Although the space is not very large, there were many customers. In a hurry due to an appointment, I quickly chose and purchased the "Nori Cheese" for 250 yen. It is a compact-sized bread shaped like a sandwich loaf that fits in the palm of your hand. There were a few different types of this compact bread, and I ended up buying the last one, which turned out to be "Walnut Raisin" instead of "Nori Cheese." The combination of walnuts and raisins was good, but I thought a stronger walnut flavor would have been even better. The "Maple Curlin Bread" for 250 yen had a noticeable maple flavor and a slightly sweet taste. Overall, the bread was soft and pleasant, with a gentle sweetness and a hint of maple aroma.

I arrived at the store around 1 pm on Saturday and it was quite crowded. There were many delicious-looking items lined up. I was drawn to the an butter bread and decided to buy it. However, the actual taste was mediocre. The caramel coating made my hands sticky and it was difficult to eat. There was not enough butter and the balance between the butter and red bean paste was off. This shop seems to prioritize the appearance of the products rather than the taste. Taste △, ease of eating △, atmosphere ◎
