I made a reservation and visited for lunch after my appointment at the University of Tokyo Hospital. It is an Italian restaurant located on the 13th floor of the Medical Education and Research Building at the University of Tokyo. The menu includes: - Weekly lunch menu ¥1200: Salad, Lasagna, Coffee - Capo course ¥1500: Appetizer, Pasta, Dessert, Coffee - Special course ¥3000: Appetizer, Pasta, Meat dish, Assorted desserts, Coffee (requires reservation) - Daily limited menu pasta set ¥1100: Baguette, Salad, Coffee Since reopening after the pandemic, the menu has become limited and reservations are now required. Today, it felt like there were more staff in the hall. I hope the restaurant will return to its pre-pandemic state with more menu options and no reservation requirement. The taste is average, but decently delicious. The view of the Skytree is nice, and having an Italian restaurant on the university campus is valuable. - Capo course ¥1500: Pasta with spinach, eggplant, and mozzarella cheese - Espresso pudding Lunch: 12:00-14:30 Dinner: Reserve only Phone reservation hours: 10:00-15:30

Today, I had an appointment at the ENT department of the University of Tokyo Hospital with my mother. We reserved the weekly lunch special for 1200 yen, which included salad, lasagna, and coffee. The appointment finished earlier than expected, so even though our reservation was for 12:30, they seated us right away when we arrived. It seemed like they had more staff, maybe some new part-timers? Overall, the lasagna was just okay. The egg was creamy, and there was plenty of meat and pasta, but I prefer the spaghetti at this restaurant. Next time, I'll try the 1500 yen set menu. Actually, I wish they would bring back the variety of menu options they had before the pandemic. The salad was tasty with French dressing. They offer a selection of drinks, and I chose ginger ale.

Before the coronavirus, I used to frequent Capopericano, an Italian home cooking restaurant located within the University of Tokyo Hongo Campus. After the closure during the pandemic, the restaurant reopened with a different format. Now, it operates mainly on a reservation basis, offering a limited number of set courses. I made a reservation today for the Capo course, which includes appetizer, pasta, dessert, and coffee for 1500 yen. The restaurant is located on the 13th floor of the Medical Education Research Building near the University of Tokyo Hospital. The lunch hours are from 12:00 to 14:30, and I arrived at noon for my reservation. The restaurant overlooks the city with views of landmarks like Mount Fuji and the Tokyo Skytree. The service was a bit understaffed due to the pandemic, but the staff was friendly and attentive. I enjoyed a salad, bread, spaghetti with eggplant and minced meat, and a green tea pudding for dessert. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience, and I hope the restaurant can return to its lively pre-pandemic atmosphere soon.

The University of Tokyo's Hongo campus, Faculty of Medicine Education and Research Building. A nostalgic scent. The hustle and bustle that hasn't changed since my student days. I also took the entrance exam here at Todai. I bypassed the research labs on genomics, molecular biology, and cell biology in the elevator and headed to the 13th floor. Today's lunch was Italian. I sat at the window counter with a great view. I could see the Asahi Beer headquarters in Asakusa and the golden object designed by Philippe Starck, with the Skytree towering in the background. This place must offer a fantastic night view as well. They post the next day's menu on their blog daily. Their consistent information sharing makes this restaurant trustworthy. Let's enjoy the view until the food arrives. I ordered the "A set Bacon and Fresh Tomato, Broccoli Spaghettini" for ¥880. The salad looks fresh with baby leaf as the main ingredient and crunchy onion toppings. The pasta surprisingly has a good portion with plenty of ingredients like thick-cut bacon, tomato, and broccoli. I mix the salad next to it and enjoy the meal. This lunch makes me feel that spring is approaching. Truly delicious, as expected from Todai. The conversations around me seem to be related to the medical field. Grateful to those involved. Before I knew it, I had only one bite left. I scoop up the remaining ingredients on the plate with a spoon to finish. The Asahi headquarters is shining. There are many food options within the University of Tokyo campus, including French cuisine and food trucks, to satisfy the stomachs of those affiliated with Todai. Passing by the spring-like Sanjo-ike pond, I head back to work. Thank you for the meal.

Today was tough! The appointment time was significantly delayed and it was extremely crowded. This doesn't happen often, but my consultation didn't finish until before noon. The billing process was also quite chaotic. However, you can pay on the same day, so waiting around was a waste of time! I had to get back to work, so I decided to have lunch at the Italian restaurant closest to the hospital, which is just a 5-minute walk away on campus. Today, the lecture hall in the research building was packed with people. Luckily, I arrived before noon. I sat at the counter by the window, where I could see the distant Skytree. The weather was nice, and it was a soothing moment! This month, I'm short on cash, so I opted for the cheapest pasta lunch at 840 yen. The Broccoli and Scallop with Anchovy Cream Cheese pasta had a good amount of broccoli and scallops with a nice salty touch from the anchovies. The cheese added a subtle flavor, making it surprisingly light. The dish came with a generous side salad and a substantial portion of pasta, along with bread and a drink. This lunch set is really worth it!

(From a blog post) Today, my colleague and I went to an Italian restaurant located in the medical building of the University of Tokyo. ■Capo PELLICANO Today's visit was not the first time for me. I really like the atmosphere of this place. The table seats seemed busier than usual on this day. As always, there were many stylish women inside. It seems to be a popular spot among women. For lunch, they had pasta set, short pasta set, and today's meat dish set on the menu. The "today's meat dish" for lunch was sautéed chicken thigh. ●Sautéed Chicken Thigh It is served with bread. The moment I tasted the chicken thigh, a deep and rich flavor spread in my mouth. The cooking was also excellent. My colleague and I both exclaimed "delicious" at the same time, it was that good (^-^) It was a slightly luxurious lunch. This Italian restaurant is casual and easy to go to without feeling too formal.

Late October 2017. Yesterday morning, I watched the exhibition game between Tokyo Mets and Tokyo University (B) team at the University of Tokyo Baseball Field in Hongo. The game ended with a 7-3 victory for Tokyo Mets, a social club team, against the Tokyo University team consisting of second and first-year students. After the game, I had lunch alone. I remembered there was a popular Italian restaurant within the University of Tokyo campus, so I decided to check it out. The distance from the Faculty of Agriculture, where the baseball field is located, to the iconic Akamon gate is quite far. I entered through the gate and walked straight ahead, then turned right at the mailbox and headed towards the "Medical Education Research Building" on the 13th floor. It was a Saturday, so the campus was quiet, but the restaurant was almost full. There was a private room in the back right, and a party was taking place in the back left. The counter seats in the front had a good view from the window, while the tables were in the front. When I told the female staff member that I was dining alone, she asked if I was okay with sitting at the counter, and I agreed. However, due to my lack of attention or perhaps my age, I followed the woman and ended up hitting my head on the slanted stone staircase leading to the 14th floor. It was quite painful. Despite feeling frustrated, I managed to control my emotions. I opted for the "Capo Course," limited to 10 meals for 1,290 yen. The course included appetizers, pasta, dessert, bread, and a drink. The appetizer was a salad with Parma ham, which was delicious. The pasta dish was crab and spinach in cream sauce, and it was very tasty. The dessert was a chocolate gateau, and I chose black tea for my drink. Considering the price, I was satisfied with the meal. The female staff member who led me to my seat earlier asked if my head was okay and offered a cold towel, but I declined as it was just a minor scratch. In the evening, they also offered a la carte options, and the dinner course started from 4,320 yen. The University of Tokyo Hongo Campus is vast, so it's recommended to research the location beforehand, but this casual Italian restaurant is worth a visit.

This is an Italian restaurant located on the 13th floor of the medical school building at the University of Tokyo. The lunch set, which includes coffee, is priced at 860 yen, which is a student-friendly price. The portion size is generous and the food is quite delicious. The customers include not only students and professors, but also parents and other people. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

I went for lunch on a regular day. I arrived a little after 12 and was seated at the counter without waiting. The counter seats have a nice view, and it's a comfortable place to dine alone. I ordered the daily pasta set, which came with a salad. The salad was served on the same plate as the pasta, but there was plenty of it, so it was not a problem. The pasta of the day was Salsiccia, and it was satisfying and delicious. I think it's a good deal for 860 yen with this kind of quality.

I went for lunch on a regular day around 1:30 pm and didn't have to wait to be seated. The last order for lunch is at 2:30 pm. I ordered the Piattounico set from the lunch menu for 1190 yen, which included: - 2 types of appetizers - Mini salad - Today's spaghetti - Small main dish All lunch sets come with bread and coffee. The appetizers that day were carrot rapé and quiche, and the small main dish was chicken. It was a great deal with a variety of food and plenty of vegetables. However, the portion of spaghetti was a bit small. The restaurant was larger than I expected, with table seating, counter seating by the window, and private rooms in the back. Being on the 13th floor, the view from the opposite side of the entrance was quite nice. Despite being close to the University Hospital, this place was not crowded, making it a hidden gem. Hospitals' cafes and restaurants are usually busy, so I would recommend this place if you're looking for a lunch spot during a hospital visit or when you need to cheer someone up.
