Visit date: 12/12/2019 Order: Daily lunch special (Coarse ground pork steak and oyster fry with grated sauce) 980 yen [Comment] This restaurant is located in a small alley behind the Washington Hotel. I have visited a few times before, but this is my first review. I visited at 11:40 and it was about half full. After that, more customers arrived and it was full. It seems to be quite popular. The main dishes for lunch seem to be hamburgers and pasta. The daily specials lineup was enticing, so I chose that. First, a salad, then the food was served without much wait. The plate was large with elegant presentation, which left a good impression on me as someone with a small appetite. The rice was light, but refills were available, so no problem there. The coarse ground pork was like a hamburger, but with a solid meaty texture, excellent and delicious. The oyster fry was not about size, but about the deliciousness of each piece, and the refreshing grated sauce complemented the quality of the ingredients, also delicious. It had been a very long time since my last visit, but I felt like I wanted to come back often. I will visit again. Thank you for the meal.

This time, we went for the bouillabaisse course with all-you-can-drink option. It was the day after Beaujolais Nouveau was released, but none of us ordered it. The hearty bouillabaisse was made with lobster miso, added with honbinosu mushrooms and scallops, which made it not only impressive but also flavorful. It had been about a year and a half since my last visit. The soft shell crab was decent as well. I think it cost around 7000 yen.

I happened to come across this Italian(?), but with an Indonesian twist, hamburger at Ravioli Rose. This is my first visit here and it seems like a popular spot for office ladies' lunches. I'm not familiar with Indonesian cuisine, so I'm not sure what the difference is between an Indonesian hamburger and a regular one, but it was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I visited "La vie en ROSE" around 11 o'clock on a certain day in October 2018. It is located about a 5-minute walk from Hatsudai Station and offers a variety of cuisine including French, Italian, and Mexican. The restaurant was about half full when I went in. I sat at a table and ordered the pasta lunch (oil sardine and jalapeno) for ¥950 with a large portion. It took about 7-8 minutes for the dish to be served. The pasta came with a salad, which was pretty standard. The dressing had a nice acidity that paired well with the tomato sauce pasta. The flavor of the pasta with oil sardine and jalapeno was actually quite good and well-balanced. I personally enjoyed it. I also liked that there was grated cheese and Tabasco sauce available at the counter to customize the taste while eating. The combination of oil sardine and tomato sauce created a rich flavor that was very satisfying. The portion size was also satisfying, although the price seemed slightly high for a pasta lunch. Despite the restaurant's concept of offering multiple cuisines and having a French name, the food was not strange or off-putting. Overall, it is a valuable restaurant for lunch due to its convenient location.

The background music is a slow ballad. I ordered "Bolognese" for lunch. It was served in about 3 minutes. The pasta is quite thin and the minced meat is perfectly mixed in.

On the last Friday of February, I had a round trip to the restaurant! Today, everything was delicious as always, it was amazing! The soft shell crab was delicious as expected. And the steamed Seto clams from Yanai City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, were also excellent.

Soft shell crab and escargot were delicious as always. I didn't take any photos, but the cheese risotto was also amazing! I will definitely be going back!

It was a luxurious bouillabaisse course. It was the first time I had seen bouillabaisse being made right in front of me. Well, it's just a pot. You might get lost at first because you can't enter from the Washington Hotel's restaurant side.

I went to the restaurant at 11:30 and chose the pasta lunch with tomato sauce and zucchini for 950 yen. The portion was large. I also ordered an iced coffee for 150 yen. I am full. The seasoning is delicious. There seemed to be a lot of daily specials.

It's been a long time since I visited this place for a drinking party, probably over ten years! When I came here before, the interior seemed darker, but this time it might just be my imagination, as it looked brighter! The location is on the first floor of the Washington Hotel, which may be a little hard to find! The interior is not very spacious, but it has a nice and relaxing atmosphere. This time, we had the all-you-can-drink course, and the delicious dishes kept coming one after another, so I was very satisfied! There is a variety of drinks available, but wine is still recommended! Even our company boss enjoyed the food and drinks! Next time, I want to go for a relaxing drink with a small group of people!

It's been a while since my last visit. I found this restaurant on a side street on my way from Shinjuku Park Tower to Washington Hotel. Last week, I saw a sign at the entrance of the side street and my friend got a flyer for lunch, so we decided to visit today. It was quite busy when we arrived, but we were seated quickly as the turnover was fast. The lunch prices have remained the same as before. I had the dry curry with keema, which was delicious. Apparently, the street sign was removed recently due to a warning from the police. I also got a loyalty card, so I might visit more often in the future.

Received information about this place from a friend who knows a lot about Shinjuku gourmet, so decided to try it out for the first time. It was packed with office workers from nearby buildings, but the turnover was incredibly fast. Managed to find seating for two right away. Ordered the daily lunch special. Salad was served promptly, followed by the main dish and rice just 5 minutes later. The portion size and taste were excellent. The fried mebaru (rockfish) in particular was outstanding in terms of freshness, seasoning, and crispiness. The sauce that came with it was a perfect match. Truly a dish that evokes the flavors of Southern Europe and the Mediterranean. Will definitely be coming back for more. The fact that it's a quick option even when you're short on time is a big plus.

I had a quick meal at a restaurant near the Washington Hotel, where I had a meeting scheduled. The staff was a bit pushy, and the menu was hard to see. I ended up ordering the daily special, which was cheese pane with black rockfish tempura. The food was decent, but nothing special in terms of flavor. The salad and rice were okay, and you could have seconds for free, but I didn't feel like getting more. The coffee was cheap at 150 yen, but overall, the value for money wasn't great. The service was a bit rough, and I probably won't be going back.

Recently, I have been visiting this restaurant for lunch quite often. Although I have visited a few times for lunch and dinner over 10 years ago, this is my first visit since I started writing on Tabelog. The restaurant is located in the new building of Shinjuku Washington Hotel. However, there is no direct access from inside the hotel, you have to enter from outside. The exterior of the restaurant has small windows and a door, with barrels that could serve as tables placed outside. During lunchtime, there is a signboard with the lunch menu displayed outside. There are no steps at the entrance, but there are a couple of low steps in the approach area in the front (without handrails). The menu includes daily specials, two regular dishes, and two pasta options for lunch. During lunch, you can have unlimited rice and coffee for an additional 100 yen per cup. The staff actively offer rice refills and come to refill water frequently. The service is great, the food is delicious, and although it can get crowded during lunchtime, the turnover rate is good, so I highly recommend it. - Taste Evaluation - The daily lunch plate allows you to enjoy two different flavors, which is great. Even though it changes daily, they provide quite elaborate dishes, which is nice. Unlimited rice, delicious food, what more can you ask for? Dry Curry It's a new menu item at the restaurant, introduced this year. It's a keema curry type, with curry served on top of rice. Onion fry and parsley are sprinkled on top of the curry. Served with quail egg, pickles, and potato fries on the side. The taste is spicy and slightly hot, but just the right amount and very tasty. Hamburger Steak A hearty and meaty hamburger steak with finely chopped meat, tender and delicious. It's plump, thick, and has a good volume. The sauce is classic, but the onion fry on top does a great job. Broccoli and potato fries are the side dishes. Overall, all the dishes are delicious, filling, and I think even men will be satisfied. With good service from the staff, I highly recommend this as a go-to lunch spot.

This time, I visited the dining bar La Vie en Rose for lunch, located in the new building of Shinjuku Washington Hotel. The entrance to the restaurant was a bit hard to find, giving it a hidden gem-like feel. The lunch menu was displayed on a standing signboard outside the restaurant. The interior of the restaurant was a bit dimly lit, with a focus on evening drinks. I was the first to arrive and ordered the daily lunch set which came with chicken mince cutlet and saury munier. I asked about the saury and opted for bread instead of rice. The salad arrived promptly, followed by the main dishes and bread. The chicken cutlet was a bit disappointing, and the saury was actually pre-spawning saury, not white fish. The bread, however, was extremely dry and crumbly, even with butter. Despite the challenges, I managed to finish the meal. Overall, if you visit this restaurant, I recommend choosing rice over bread for a more satisfying experience. But if you're feeling adventurous, go ahead and try the bread for a unique experience. It was a tough battle, but I made it through. And who knows, maybe beyond this struggle lies a rosy future (laughs). Thank you for the meal.

I decided to take a walk towards the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building in Shinjuku to enjoy lunch. Along the way, I stumbled upon a hidden gem of a Western-style Italian restaurant tucked away behind the government building. The restaurant had a cozy one-floor layout where you could see everything from the entrance. They offered lunch sets, and since I love hamburg steak, I decided to order it. As I was eating the salad, the hamburg steak arrived, emanating the delicious aroma of demi-glace sauce and meat. The hamburg steak was not the fluffy kind I was used to, but rather a firm and well-shaped patty with plenty of juicy meat. It paired perfectly with the rice, and I finished it in no time. I ended the meal by sipping on iced coffee and relaxing. It was a serene spot in a quiet alley in Shinjuku, a perfect place to go when you want to be alone.
