Sanrio Cafe, takeout. There is usually a long line, but today there was no line. I brought home my favorite Kerokerokeroppi roll and Hello Kitty donut. They are so cute. When you take them home, their faces are not drawn, so you have to stick on the faces yourself. I want to eat them in the cafe next time.

I went to lunch with a friend who couldn't take a day off from work. We arrived around 11:30 and got a waiting ticket. We waited for about 30 minutes, and there were a lot of children, probably because of the summer vacation. Normally, I would eat a lot, but today I was fine with just pancakes. The mango was not that great, but the chocolate was quite sweet, so I left some of the cream. My friend said she will come back next time to try the takeout menu.

I love using this restaurant multiple times because I can order menu items with my favorite cute character. However, the service is often slow because the food takes time to be served. The advantage is that they offer cute takeout options. Members of Sanrio apps can also earn 5 points as a bonus.

I visited around 11:30 on a regular day. Despite the heavy rain, I got a numbered ticket and waited in line. My daughter wanted to go, so we had no choice but to go. The store is full of foreigners with an oriental atmosphere because it's a Sanrio store. It shows how popular it is overseas. Everyone seems to be enjoying their own world, which is nice. Rather than focusing on the food, they enjoy decorating with Sanrio characters. It feels like they're saying, "It's okay to just enjoy the decorations." They didn't actually say that. My daughter is amazed by the decoration of the normal cocoa with Sanrio characters. It's amazing how a simple cocoa can impress her so much. Thank you for the meal.

On a Sunday afternoon, I had some errands in Ikebukuro, so I decided to stop by. As expected on a Sunday, everywhere was crowded. I tried a crepe for 700 yen, but it was mostly filled with unappetizing whipped cream that seemed to have been thawed from frozen, along with a sauce that also seemed to be frozen. No fruits were included. It seems like they focus more on appearance rather than taste. It looks cute, but it might be more suitable for adults. I felt a bit hesitant to give it to children. They seemed to enjoy it though.

The Sanrio Cafe located in Sunshine City B1 (right next to Nitori, at the bottom of the escalator) has changed its opening time from 11:00 to 10:00 since before Golden Week. The cafe is a paradise for Sanrio fans with its cute atmosphere. While some people were ordering Doutor rolls and latte art, we decided to try the burgers. There are two options: Beef Burger and Shrimp Cutlet Burger, with a choice of two sauces for the beef and three types of buns (with a stamped design). The staff seemed to be a bit short-handed, as it took a while for them to take our order and bring our food. The buns were nicely toasted and the burgers were tastier than expected. However, the prices are a bit high, so a lower price would be appreciated. Takeout options like the roll cakes would be a great addition.

Next to the round taiyaki shop, there was a shop selling Sanrio character-themed roll cakes and donuts. The roll cakes were variations of the Doutonbori roll, with different flavors for each character. Although I was tempted to buy a roll cake, I thought it might not stay in good condition on the way back, so I opted for a meat bun instead. The only option was a Hello Kitty meat bun, possibly from Sanpou Ikkonrou. I'm not familiar with Sanpou Ikkonrou, but it must be famous and delicious. You can dine in the shop, but the cute interior design means a long wait. Therefore, I chose takeout this time. However, the kitchen for takeout and dine-in orders is the same, so I still had to wait a bit. Knowing this, it might have been better to order here first and then go to the taiyaki shop. Making crepes with various decorations took quite some time. As for the meat bun, it was ready after taking it out of the steamer and putting on a face sticker. They probably make the orders in the order they receive them, which seems a bit inefficient. I got it for my daughter's snack. She said the meat was juicy and delicious.

The cafe itself was crowded on weekends at lunchtime, with a waiting time of 90 to 120 minutes. Although we received a ticket, we couldn't read it, so we decided to go to the takeout counter in front of the store. They sell roll cakes, crepes, and drinks. There are tables around and benches a short walk away, so if you don't mind takeout, it's enough to enjoy the food.

This was a lunch with friends' children, so we were happy to find a restaurant that would please them. We visited on a holiday and started lining up at 11:30, finally getting in after a one-hour wait! The ordering system involves a touch screen where receipts are printed, so it seems okay to step out of line for a bit. The restaurant seemed to cater to families with children, but there were also groups of girls having fun and couples visiting from overseas. The interior was decorated with characters, which was a delight for fans. As for the food, I wasn't expecting much in terms of taste, but I was pleasantly surprised by the BBQ sauce burger I ordered. It was satisfying in terms of portion size as well. I also ordered a side of fries, which came in a generous portion on the plate. You can choose from three different character buns for the burgers. I had underestimated character cafes, thinking they would offer small portions for the price, so I also ordered a pork bun and a mango smoothie. Everything was delicious. The smoothie had chia seeds, which made it quite filling. The taste and presentation matched the price, so I left feeling full and satisfied with my choices. I would like to revisit for their desserts next time. I also took a photo of the pancakes the kids ate, so I'll share it here.

I went to the Sanrio Cafe in Ikebukuro Sunshine City! The menu is filled with adorable Sanrio characters, and everything was too cute. I was surprised to find out that the Hello Kitty nikuman (steamed bun) is actually from a nikuman shop called "Ikkanrou" in Kobe, my hometown. I didn't order it this time, but the Doshima Roll with My Melody and Kuromi looked too cute! I want to collect them all, they are so irresistible. The Cinnamoroll churros are too cute. I went to the Sanrio Café in Sunshine City underground. I tried the Doutonbori roll for each character, of course, I chose Pompompurin. I also had a cream soda coordinated with Pompompurin. The Doutonbori roll for Pompompurin was lemon yogurt flavor. The lemon flavor was refreshing. It had lemon peel in it, and the smooth cream had a bit of texture, which added a nice touch. The interior of the cafe is not very spacious, but there are signatures of each character's designer on the glass at the entrance. This is a must-see!

After wandering around Ikebukuro, I felt like having something sweet after dinner. Oh, a cafe... Sanrio Cafe... let's go! The cafe is operated by Sanrio and the entrance is cute with pastel colors. They offer various sweets. Personally, I was fond of characters like Tuxedo Sam when I was a child and everyone's favorite Pochacco when I was in elementary school, but those characters were not available at the cafe. Oh well, that's okay! So, I ordered the chubby bunny banana custard crepe. I love chubby bunnies! The long crepe may not be very big, but it has banana, cream, biscuits, and a chubby bunny in the middle... so cute! The girl who was waiting behind me also said it was cute! It makes you feel peaceful, right? The taste is sweet and fluffy with marshmallow adding a gentle accent to the cream and banana in the crepe. I think everyone would say it's delicious. I enjoyed the gentle and cute sweets from Sanrio! Thank you for the meal!

I visited on Saturday afternoon. It was packed, so I got a numbered ticket and waited outside for a while. The interior of the cafe was decorated in the Sanrio theme. I had the Cinnamoroll pancake, which was very cute.

I finally got to visit the Sanrio Cafe at Sunshine City in Ikebukuro! I've been wanting to go for a while and I'm so happy I finally made it. The cafe has a lot of cute food featuring Sanrio characters. Since I love My Melody, I ordered the My Melody pancake for 1,000 yen and a drink for 500 yen. We also shared a beef burger for 1,300 yen (set with drink for 1,500 yen). In addition to My Melody, they also had pancakes featuring Hello Kitty, Pompompurin, and Cinnamoroll. I was torn between Hello Kitty and My Melody, but ended up choosing My Melody because I heard the portion size was bigger. The latte I ordered had a cute Hello Kitty latte art, which I thought was amazing.

This is a collaboration between Mon Chéri, a Sanrio Café located in the basement of Ikebukuro Sunshine City, and Sanrio featuring a Hello Kitty roll cake. There is an eat-in area and a café inside the store. The store was crowded, so we opted to dine in the eat-in area.

I found a Sanrio Cafe while shopping in Sunshine City. I stopped by after shopping. I tried the "Kitty Cream Soda" for 680 yen (including 10% tax). The roll cake made with Doshima roll also looked delicious, but this time I only had the cream soda. Kitty's head is piled high with cream, making her look a little like Daniel. The face drawn on the ice cream is made of edible paper. This way, there is no difference in quality depending on who makes it. I would like to come back again.

When I had errands at Sunshine City, I wanted to have ice cream for lunch instead. I've always been curious about this Sanrio shop because all the characters are so cute. Each character has a different flavor of ice cream, so I chose the black sesame flavor with Kuromi. The ice cream I received was so cute - it was shaped like an oval with ears and a face made of monaka on top. The quality was really high. I scooped some with a spoon and tasted it - it was exactly what I imagined black sesame ice cream to be. It wasn't too rich, but you could still taste the flavor of the ingredients. I didn't examine the ice cream case closely, but I think it might be Lotte's Il Gelato black sesame flavor. The monaka itself didn't have much flavor, but it added a nice crispy texture. It was served on a regular sugar cone, so I had to be careful while eating it. It was more filling than I expected. The staff was very friendly, and the shop's atmosphere and products were all so cute and comforting. It was a delightful experience!

I had some errands in Sunshine City, so I decided to go there from Ikebukuro for the first time in a while. I stopped by a cafe right after getting off the escalator. I ordered two Kitty-chan pastries to indulge in, but they said they could only give them to me frozen. I found that amusing, so I ended up just getting one. Whether it was delicious or not didn't really matter to me. I just love Kitty-chan.

I went down the escalator that leads to the underground of Sunshine City, and at the end on the right side of Blue Seal, there was a Sanrio Cafe. I think it used to be a different store before, but anyway, I had to go in! I made a reservation at the entrance, and waited for about an hour wandering around Sunshine. When my turn came and I entered, the inside of the store wasn't very spacious, but it was filled with Sanrio characters on the walls and ceiling, like a dream world. The pancakes were cute, and the cream soda collaboration with Cafe Sanrio had a retro feel, which was nice. There were many other menu items that caught my eye, so I would like to visit again when I go to Ikebukuro.
