After lunch, while moving from Tameike-Sanno to Roppongi-itchome, the word "COFFEE" caught my eye on a corner lot facing the main street. The sign reads "Ninoninoni in Roppongi". Curious, I checked the menu and confirmed that it was indeed a café. Peeking inside, I saw a small space with the owner and two other customers. Even though it was full, they mentioned that outdoor seats were available. The weather was nice, so I decided to enjoy my coffee on the terrace. Looking at the stylish menu, I chose the "Strong Latte (Iced)" for 650 yen, which has double the amount of espresso compared to a regular latte. I paid with PayPay, and in about a minute, my drink was ready in a transparent plastic container with a sleeve. The owner advised me to mix it before drinking. I sat on a bench outside and savored the café latte. It wasn't as strong as I expected, but it was smooth and delicious. Mixing it brought out the espresso flavor, making it even better. The drink had a good value for its taste. A new customer arrived later, and I thought they would take it to go, but they stayed inside. They seemed like a regular customer, taking the third seat. It was a bit disappointing not to have that privilege. The café's name comes from its address at "2-2-2 Roppongi, Minato-ku", but personally, I feel "222 COFFEE" suits it better. Today, I planned to dine in, but enjoying the terrace seating turned out to be a good choice. Watching the cars pass by on the main street while sipping the café latte was a pleasant experience. Having such a moment on the summer solstice felt nice. [Visited on June 21, 2023]

The coffee at the Intercontinental Hotel breakfast buffet was too bitter for my liking, so I searched for a nearby coffee shop and found a small coffee shop called "Noninoni" in Roppongi. The menu outside listed espresso as their top item, but they also had drip coffee. I ordered a light roast Bolivia (650 yen) and my wife ordered a dark roast Peru (650 yen). The Bolivia had a strong acidity, while the Peru had a strong bitterness that came later. Both coffees were delicious.

From the west exit of Ebisu Station, cross Komazawa Street and head north on the alley between Saint Marc Cafe and KFC. There you will find a izakaya called "Kagama" where I once had a meat dish lunch. Right across from Kagama, there is a pub called "TAP+" where I later found out that kooosuke ran TAP+ Coffee from September 2018 to December 2019 during daytime. Unfortunately, I was unable to discover this coffee stand during my frequent walks in Ebisu at that time. Starting from January 2020, kooosuke opened Ninininico Coffee in a building located at 2-2-2 Roppongi. After having a meal, I decided to visit the coffee shop. The building was under renovation, making it hard to tell if they were open, but there was a sign on the sidewalk and the door was open. Inside, it was a cozy space with a few seats already occupied. I ordered a "Hot Americano" (550 yen) and paid with PayPay. kooosuke brewed the coffee, which was perfectly balanced with no acidity or bitterness, just a smooth and delicious flavor. I asked about serving alcohol since there were liquor bottles displayed, and kooosuke mentioned they currently do not serve any alcohol. Despite the Starbucks across the street, I hope this unique coffee shop thrives as an independent business.

I stumbled upon a coffee shop called II II II COFFEE while taking a walk. The sign on the brown wooden wall caught my attention. Even though the door was closed, the shop was open for business as usual. They had counter seats and offered eat-in options. The nearest station is Roppongi-itchome Station, I believe. I had a Cafe Latte for ¥550, and I think you could choose the beans. The owner was very polite and explained things well, so it's good to let them know your coffee preferences. The coffee had a good balance of richness and sharpness, and it was delicious. The Cafe Latte was easy to drink.
