I stopped by for a coffee, a smoke, and some office work. There is a smoking booth on the 2nd floor, which is convenient for smokers. I got a baumkuchen and a blend coffee to take up to the 2nd floor. The seating area, chairs, and overall space are quite spacious compared to other Doutor cafes. The window-side table for two is also very roomy. I sat at the counter and was able to get a lot of work done in the quiet atmosphere.

Lately, I've been thinking that Doutor might be cheaper than McDonald's. I ordered the usual A set with an iced coffee. If you just want to relax, Doutor might have better value than Starbucks or Tully's. I had this at a Doutor somewhere.

There are several Doutor cafes scattered around Akasaka Station, and I think this one is a hidden gem. It is conveniently located close to the station entrance, so you can enter without getting wet even if it's raining. Inside the cafe, there is a typical Doutor layout with the cashier counter on the right as you enter, and a spacious seating area with even a second floor. The restroom facilities are also located upstairs. There are plenty of single seats available, including solo sofa seats and counter seats, and the cafe offers free Doutor WiFi, so many people come here to work. Some people even go to the extent of plugging their devices into the neighboring seat's power outlet and subtly keeping the seat next to them empty to secure their own space. The drinks are typical Doutor fare and reasonably priced. Perhaps due to its location, there are also many businesspeople here, using the cafe as a place to wait before heading to their next appointment. On this particular day, I had an iced soy latte. One amazing thing about Doutor is that soy milk doesn't cost extra here, unlike in other cafes.

It was a bit inconvenient as there were many single seats due to the season, but the location right by the station was very convenient for adjusting the time. I can't forget the iced coffee with chocolate ice cream I had in the summer. The seats with outlets are much appreciated. This Doutor right outside Akasaka Station.

Taking a break during a walk in Akasaka. Many shops are closed on Sundays, so it's convenient to have a Doutor here. The interior is clean and well-maintained, with plenty of outlets and facilities. The seating mainly consists of counter seats for individuals or tables for two, so it can be challenging to find seats for groups of more than two. Nevertheless, the drinks are affordable and it's a reliable place to stop by.

It got hot so I went into Doutor. Before taking a sip, I noticed they had proper partitions. The seating arrangement was good, with seats spaced out for social distancing. It was a bit crowded earlier, but now it seems quieter - maybe due to the impact of COVID-19. The iced coffee had a nice balance of bitterness and flavor, very delicious. There were many people working remotely on their laptops, with power outlets and WiFi available. The individual seats were well-lit from above. Two people wearing masks came in and caught my attention as they chatted endlessly. It felt like the old days, peaceful and calm. Someone mentioned that these days during the pandemic feel like being in a war. Let's hope for peace soon.

The tapioca boom has reached fast food chains and cafes, where tapioca drinks are now being offered. I decided to try out the tapioca drink at Doutor after seeing it being highly recommended on social media and blogs. Unfortunately, the Doutor near my office in Tameike-Sanno was sold out, showing just how popular it is! I ended up visiting a Doutor near Akasaka after having lunch there, and luckily they still had tapioca available. I chose the Royal Milk Tea flavor. The tapioca was chewy, but lightly flavored with brown sugar, not too sweet. The Royal Milk Tea was decent, but compared to specialty tapioca shops, it falls short. It's a good option for a quick and affordable tapioca fix, but if you're in Akasaka, I would recommend getting a more authentic tapioca milk tea from the Taiwanese restaurant Sanshou Kofuku for a better experience. Overall, I probably won't be coming back to Doutor for tapioca, as their regular iced teas are just fine.

Last week I came in the afternoon, but this time I came at night. It was quite crowded at night. I ordered an iced coffee, and as always, it was not too strong and not too light, making it easy to drink.

The first and second floors have wide pathways and are easy to walk around. There are individual seating areas with outlets. The iced coffee is not too strong but has a satisfying richness, just right.

I ordered a hot coffee at a cafe without any photos and waited until the showtime at ACT Theater. The cafe is located towards Nogizaka and seems to be a hidden gem. I was able to relax and enjoy my coffee leisurely. The restroom was also clean. Thank you for the meal! (๑´ڡ`๑)

Adjusting time in front of the gym (^。^)y-~ This is a cafe au lait with ice, limited to this store. I remember there used to be things like baked German here, but as I stare at the menu, they are no longer there... I ordered it, a store-limited item. It's stronger than a latte, and I like it♪

When you exit from Akasaka Station's 7th exit, you will find a shop on your right hand side. It is located along Akasaka Street, across from Ueshima Coffee Shop. The shop has a calm atmosphere, and the counter seats have outlets. They mainly serve regular size drinks, with a limited menu selection. I ordered a regular size cappuccino (tax included 250 yen), and they can add a special sugar upon request. The mini cup had a nice balance of bitterness with a hint of sugar sweetness. They also have a German dog exclusive to the Akasaka Go-chome store, which I look forward to trying next time. Thank you for the meal!

I feel like I've exhausted most of the breakfast options in Akasaka... There are plenty of lunch spots though. This day, I ventured a bit further to the Doutor Akasaka 5-chome store. It's comfortable to sit here as well. I always end up leaving some coffee, so this time I asked for it to go. The hot dog was reliably delicious. Hmm... But a plain hot dog set for 460 yen seems a bit on the pricey side, don't you think?
