I visited Seiya-san after several months. Suddenly, I felt a strong craving for their tonkotsu shoyu ramen. I'll need to take care of my clothes and breath after lunch. It seems like the menu has changed since my last visit. The 3 types of meat are gone, and now there are 4 types for 1250 yen. It must be chashu, kakuni, seasoned egg, and seaweed. Since I prefer thin noodles, I always order an extra serving. During lunchtime, the extra serving is free, so I can't resist ordering it. My favorite is the firm noodles. The rich tonkotsu shoyu broth pairs perfectly with the thin noodles. It's not too thick, but has a nice depth of flavor. When I add the seasoned egg and seaweed, I finish it in no time. I'll definitely come back again. Thank you for the meal.

Ramen shop open until 10 pm. I arrived just in time but they kindly welcomed me, which made me happy. I ordered the basic thin noodle ramen with a bottle of Akahoshi beer. The toppings included fried garlic chips and garlic paste on the side. I also added spinach, green onions, and bean sprouts to make it more filling. Both were delicious. I would like to come back next time for a solo drink.

The last time I visited was in 2013! It had been 10 years since I last visited this place, which is a well-known spot. It's not common for a ramen shop to last for 10 years, so there must be something that locals love about this place. I ordered the "tsukemen (900 yen)" and chose thick noodles this time. Just like before, I really liked the noodles. This time, it seems like the broth is a bit less oily. The richness, sweetness, and umami are well balanced. Adding some doubanjiang halfway through made for a nice change in flavor. The service and the items on the table create an atmosphere that has been going strong for a long time. Next time, I'll try the regular ramen.

Near my workplace, there is a shop that I have passed by several times before. As a soy sauce lover, I have always been hesitant to try their "pork bone soy sauce" ramen. However, today I decided to give it a try. Due to the heat, I chose the tsukemen option. I could choose between thick or thin noodles, so I went with the thick noodles. As usual, I added bamboo shoots as a topping. I bought a meal ticket from the machine and handed it to the staff, who informed me that I could get a free extra serving or noodle refill. This made me a bit worried that this might be a ramen place catering to young people like those around Shibuya Station. When the ramen arrived and I took a sip of the soup, it was indeed extremely rich in flavor! Even for someone like me who loves strong flavors with roots in northern Kanto, it was almost too much. The soup came with chopped onions by default, which added a nice texture. Since it's summer, it wasn't too spicy, which was nice. As I continued eating, the flavor became even more intense. I tried diluting the soup with the provided water pot, and it confirmed that it was indeed pork bone soy sauce broth, with added fish powder for thickness and a refreshing taste. The flavor was really intense! Towards the end, I tried changing the taste with the burnt garlic chips on the table. I'm sure I'll be thirsty tonight after this meal!

Entered the shop based on the appearance of the shop and the crowdedness of customers. Prompted to buy a food ticket, I chose the Chinese-style ramen. First, the soup - hmm? Only a strong soy sauce flavor is prominent. Even after a second sip, I couldn't taste the umami. Now, onto the noodles. Hmm? The noodles don't seem to be blending with the soup, they feel separate. Also, the overall presentation at the moment the dish was served is important too.

I usually have ramen on weekends. I usually order a large serving with thick noodles, and it never disappoints. The ramen at Nakameguro has a slightly different taste, which adds to the enjoyment. It's a good way to replenish protein while the soup is not too rich, so I like to think it's good for the body. Will definitely go back!

[Ikejiri-Ohashi] Enjoying miso tonkotsu ramen is a bit of a walk from Ikejiri-Ohashi Station. Along Route 246, in a not-so-busy area, there is a shop. Inside the entrance, there is a ticket machine on the right. The menu offers basic ramen with thick or thin noodles, as well as variations like miso tonkotsu and negi ramen. On this day, I ordered the miso tonkotsu. When I handed the ticket to the staff, they asked, "Would you like thick or thin noodles?" I inquired about their recommendation, to which they replied, "It's up to your preference." It would have been nice to have their recommendation. After a 7-minute wait, the ramen was served. First, I tried the miso tonkotsu soup. It was rich, which seemed to go well with the thick noodles. Then, I tried the thick noodles. They were delicious. The sliced chashu and menma were also generous and tasty! They also offer rice and gyoza, making it a great place for drinks too! #IkejiriOhashi #MisoTonkotsuRamen #Ramen #Let'sGuide #LocalGuideConnect

We went around 2 o'clock and it was not crowded, so it was comfortable! My boyfriend and I were looking for a very normal Chinese soba, but the ramen turned out to be fish-based with dried fish flakes, which was a bit disappointing. We both are not big fans of seafood-based broths. However, it was incredibly delicious! The broth was light and the flavor was amazing, even though it was a bit too rich for us towards the end. It might have been the best seafood-based ramen we've ever had! We should have just ordered the regular Seiya Ramen instead of the Chinese soba.

Thank you for always taking care of me. The rich and strong pork bone soup after meals has a noticeable smell, so I need to be mentally prepared when I go back to work in the afternoon. However, the delicious taste is so irresistible that I keep coming back. This time, I tried the exclusive miso pork bone ramen with thin noodles at the Ikejiri store for the first time. It was delicious. If you also order the lunchtime service extra noodles, you will be so full that you'll want to take a nap. The meat is flavorful and tender, making it delicious! I will definitely be back.

Yesterday was not the same as before. Although Bai Men and the menu are exactly the same, upon investigation, it seems that the chef trained at Bai Men, then branched out on their own, becoming more popular than Bai Men. Bai Men, on the other hand, seems to have lost its energy and is now under the group's umbrella. The taste is slightly saltier here compared to Bai Men, but overall it's a similar experience. However, the amount of vegetables in the dish was definitely more here.

I went to Seiya in Ikejiri after a long time. The purpose was this!! It seems to be a limited miso fair. I don't really know much about miso breweries, but is it miso from a famous place?? "Miso Vegetable Tanmen 850 yen" The bowl is different from the usual one. And they warmed it up by placing it on a tebo before using it!! At the top, there is minced meat with a slightly sweet finish!! Below that, there is a stir-fried vegetable dish cooked in a wok!! The soup is very rich!! It probably has the rich umami of miso itself, but combined with the animal-based soup from our shop, it becomes quite concentrated!! The slightly thick and viscous soup, with a viscosity that is not just about lifting the soup, but more like the soup sticking and enveloping, was entwined with Maruyama Seimen's thick noodles, asserting itself without losing to the thick noodles!! "Super delicious!!" I was torn between getting extra thick noodles or a noodle refill, but I thought, "How about thin noodles?" so I went with the noodle refill. I asked for it to be firm. Because the soup's viscosity is high, it wasn't just about "lifting the soup," but the soup had a sticky, clinging feeling. It matched very well and I was very satisfied!! However, since most rich miso ramen tends to have a similar direction and not much variation, I thought, "I might be fine with a different place if I want miso ramen." If it's the closest ramen shop, Seiya is the only choice for miso, but I might go to "Seiya @ Hachimanyama" and "Hyakumen @ Setagaya (Bajikoen)" to try the miso series at other stores. That's it. #Seiya #Hyakumen #MisoRamen #MisoTonkotsu #IekeiRamen

Seiya's Chuka Soba for 750 yen has a soup made with animal and dried ingredients, seasoned with soy sauce. It comes with medium-thick curly noodles, two pieces of pork thigh chashu, white negi (Japanese leek), menma (bamboo shoots), narutomaki (fish cake), spinach, nori (seaweed), and a side of minced garlic. The reviewer initially had little interest in trying the Chuka Soba, as it seemed similar to another nearby restaurant, but decided to give it a try. The restaurant was almost full even after 2:30 pm, with no new customers coming in. The Chuka Soba had a similar appearance to the other restaurant's ramen, with a strong flavor from the bonito broth, chicken oil, and soy sauce. The noodles were unique, being medium-thick and curly, and the pork chashu had a rich pork flavor. The addition of spinach and garlic enhanced the flavor, making it a tasty and flavorful Chuka Soba.

Thank you for the meal! I suddenly realized that I was feeling a bit hungry on my way back, which should not happen, but it did. I needed to fill my stomach, so I noticed they had pasta, rice, soba, and udon. I was initially drawn to the sign for tsukemen ramen, but then I saw they also had regular ramen, and even thin noodles. It said it was tonkotsu broth. Oh wow, this is not just a hit, it's a home run! It seems they specialize in spinach house-style ramen. They even have a system for extra noodles. They are geniuses! The firm ramen was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

It was simply delicious! The shop is located between Ikejiri-Ohashi and Sangenjaya intersections. I had to visit a hardware store and found this place! It's a bit far, so I can't go often, but I want to visit again! If it were closer, I would have been a regular customer! I forgot the name, but I think I ordered a vegetable dish. The soup and noodles were good, and the boiled spinach was cooked perfectly! I will definitely go back!

The rampage of the novel coronavirus is worsening day by day, and Japan as a whole is engulfed in an abnormal sense of isolation! Despite this, my ramen restaurant tour continues, but I take precautions to minimize the risk of infection, such as avoiding shops near public transportation stations and not visiting shops with extremely low population density inside! Today, I headed to a ramen shop in Shibuya Ward that I had planned to visit before. The street where the shop is located is so narrow that cars cannot pass through, and the distance between pedestrians is less than 1m. Although the shop had a relatively large interior, there were many customers, so I decided to cancel today's visit. As a backup plan, I went to "Seiya Ikejiri Store," where there were no customers inside, as I had hoped. I ordered the default ramen for 700 yen and an additional seasoned egg for 100 yen using the ticket machine located on the right side upon entering. The shop has a unique layout with only counter seats arranged in an L shape. The staff, a middle-aged to elderly man, seemed surprised when I asked for the noodles to be cooked soft for 7 minutes instead of the standard 3.5 minutes. He mentioned that "Seiya" is slightly different from the typical family-style ramen, as indicated by the use of "屋" (ya) instead of "家" (ie) in the shop's name and the presence of only one sheet of seaweed instead of the usual three. When I mentioned my goal of visiting all Seiya-related stores, he informed me that there is a shop near Tamareien, which I was not aware of. He also mentioned that a shop in Itabashi had closed and relocated, now operating under the name "Maboroshi." The ramen, made with animal broth, had a delicious umami flavor that spread in my mouth, and the noodles cooked for 7 minutes were perfectly soft. The rice, priced at 150 yen, was served in a bowl larger than the typical size, unlike the one I had at the Yahatayama store earlier in the week. Despite the lack of options for extra rice or seaweed, the food was delicious and deserving of a 4.0 rating. This was my experience at "Seiya Ikejiri Store"!

November 18, 2019 (Monday), 126th visit in 2019. It had been about 2 and a half years since my last visit. I had a sudden craving for Ikejiri Ohashi Station's ramen. I ordered the thick noodles with regular soup. I have been avoiding extra greasy options recently. I declined the lunch rice and had 3 gyoza instead. Delicious!

I knew that the largest Tokyo Ramen Show in Japan was starting today! I visited this ramen shop, known for its thick noodles. As soon as I entered, I noticed a strong animal smell, making me wonder if it was more like a Chinese ramen than a traditional thick noodles ramen. I ordered the thick noodles ramen with a push of a button. I wanted to order a large portion, but they were out of stock. So, I gave my ticket to the staff and asked, "Can I have a large portion, please?" It turned out that during lunchtime, the large portion was free. The bowl I received had thick noodles, char siu, spinach, and seaweed, just like a traditional thick noodles ramen. The soup was thick with pork bone flavor, and the animal smell was still present. The thick noodles had a good chewy texture, and the char siu had a satisfying bite. Overall, it was a typical bowl of ramen, so I would rate it as average.

I didn't do enough research and ordered thin noodles because I prefer them. It was very salty. Everyone else seemed to prefer thick noodles. I ordered thin noodles with 3 vegetable toppings for 900 yen. The spinach, green onions, and bean sprouts were generously piled on top, which was nice. It would be helpful for beginners if they clearly indicated that thick noodles are recommended.
