Sushi restaurant in East Ginza. They specialize in fresh seafood directly delivered from Toyosu. For lunch, they offer a variety of menu items in addition to sushi. Visited at 11:45 am and the restaurant was busy. Ordered the lunch sushi for 1500 yen, which included 9 pieces plus a little extra. They also served a salad with plum dressing, a nice touch. The sushi consisted of 9 pieces, with the eel being particularly delicious. The inclusion of salmon roe was a nice bonus. Other toppings like scallops and tuna were also very tasty. The rolls were each unique - there was a fresh roll, a spicy tuna roll, and a plum cucumber roll. The egg had a subtle sweetness which was enjoyable. The sushi rice had a strong red vinegar flavor, with a hint of saltiness. The miso soup was well-made with a flavorful broth. Overall, for 1500 yen, I thought it was a good lunch option. The service was quick, allowing for a nice and efficient lunch experience.

I used it for lunch. I arrived around 1:00 and was able to sit at the counter seat. The lunch set includes a good deal of sushi, so it seemed popular. I ordered 9 pieces of sushi and a tamagoyaki set. First, a salad came out, and after about 10 minutes, the sushi and miso soup were served. The taste was really good, with the vinegar rice matching well with all the toppings. Especially the white fish of red snapper and shiny fish like kohada were delicious. The squid was also carefully prepared and sliced, and it was delicious. It was a convenient and good lunch.

Today's lunch was seafood chirashi in Ginza, delicious... This restaurant used to have multiple locations in Tsukiji, but now it's gone. The owner, who worked at Tsukiji Edo Gin Honten for over 10 years, opened this restaurant in this location about 10 years ago. We arrived at 11:40, and there were already 2 customers. The first floor has a counter with 4 seats on each side, and the second floor has table seats. We chose to sit at the counter near the back. We ordered the large portion of seafood chirashi (+50 yen). It was supposed to be served in 10 minutes, but the owner remembered the large portion and added more rice before serving. We already had the salad. The toppings included medium fatty tuna, scallop, salmon roe, mackerel, horse mackerel, and fish cake. The fish was fresh, and the rice had a slightly tangy red vinegar flavor, with a good texture and nicely fluffy. It was delicious. The medium fatty tuna had a good amount of fat and paired well with the red vinegar rice. We also had miso soup with seaweed, which was quickly finished. Overall, it was a high-quality chirashi that we enjoyed very much. Thank you for the meal. More customers started coming in later. It might get crowded after 12 o'clock...

Located in a quiet alley in Higashi-Ginza, "Edogin Higashi-Ginza" is a traditional Edo-style sushi restaurant that has inherited a historic curtain. It is a branch of the now-closed "Tsukiji Edogin Main Store" and was established about 10 years ago. The head chef, who received the curtain from the main store after working there for 10 years, is the youngest to receive such an honor, as very few people are allowed this privilege. The restaurant is a 3-minute walk from Higashi-Ginza Station, behind the Kabuki-za theater, next to a tonkatsu restaurant called "Haru-no-chi Katsu." The exterior is black with a splendid wooden sign and a navy blue curtain. The first floor has a counter with 4 seats and 4 additional seats, while the second floor has table seating for a total of 30 seats. In addition to the head chef working alone, there are two floor staff members who warmly welcomed us with their lively voices. The lunch menu includes: - Sashimi set: 1,300 yen - Tuna marinated rice bowl: 1,400 yen - Seafood chirashi bowl: 1,300 yen - Conger eel rice bowl: 1,600 yen - Sushi (9 pieces, rolls, egg): 1,500 yen - Sushi for 1.5 people (11 pieces, rolls, egg): 2,000 yen We ordered the following: - Sushi (9 pieces, rolls, egg): 1,500 yen The sushi was skillfully prepared and served in just 5 minutes. It came on a substantial ceramic plate with salad and miso soup. All the ingredients were sourced fresh from Tsukiji Market by the head chef, and the portions were small and easy to eat. The vinegared rice had a slight red tint and a good grain texture, which complemented the toppings well. The rice had a pleasant acidity that dissipated as you chewed, melding with the carefully prepared toppings. The head chef, who was very friendly, left a great impression, and I could imagine that the counter would be lively and enjoyable in the evenings. Despite being busy during lunchtime, the head chef managed to prepare ahead and make adjustments while handling everything alone. By noon, the second floor was fully booked, and the return of customers post-COVID was a welcome sight. "Edogin Higashi-Ginza" offers reasonably priced Edo-style sushi with vinegared rice in the Ginza area.

If you order the lunch sushi with red vinegar rice made from natural ingredients (1.5 servings) for 2,000 yen, a salad will be served immediately, so there is hardly any wait time for the sushi, which is great. The sushi was easy to eat, with the octopus sliced for easy chewing and three different types of rolls to keep things interesting. Every piece of sushi was delicious, but personally, the eel was the standout! It melted in my mouth and was perfectly sweet without being too overpowering.

I had a 1500 yen sushi set with warm red vinegar rice. The rolls were pre-made, but it was nice that all three had different flavors. The chef was friendly and talkative, and I enjoyed hearing stories about the ingredients. It's impressive how they strive to make delicious sushi at an affordable price. I heard that it's better to eat Pacific saury in winter when it's cheaper and tastier. They also mentioned not eating red clam during spawning season. Overall, I had a great experience with interesting conversations at this restaurant.

Grab sushi for 1,500 yen. This sushi restaurant is located in Higashi Ginza. Each piece is skillfully crafted by the master chef. You can truly appreciate that sushi is not just about placing slices of fish on vinegared rice. The quality at this price is amazing! The sashimi set meal also looks delicious...

I went to East Ginza for work and was looking for a place to eat lunch when I came across this restaurant. I occasionally go to Edogin in Nerima, so I was curious about East Ginza. When I entered shortly after opening, there were only two people running the place, the master and the lady boss. I didn't feel like having anything too fancy, so I opted for the lunch sushi set for 1500 yen. It included 9 pieces of sushi, a roll, and tamago (egg), which was decent but nothing extraordinary. It was sufficient for a quick lunch. I had a pleasant chat with the master and left the restaurant. The master was quite interesting, so I thought it might be nice to come back for drinks at night. Lunch on September 9, 2020 (Wednesday). Lunch on the east side of Showa Street in Ginza 3-chome. Sushi series in East Ginza 3-chome (short-term intensive series). A sushi restaurant located on a narrow street a little southeast from the corner of Kibamachi Street. I have been to a sushi restaurant called Edo Gin in Tsukiji before, but I'm not sure if there is any connection. It was 11:35. There didn't seem to be any other customers, so I sat at the counter seat. I ordered the Reward Lunch Set 6: Nigiri Sushi 1.5 servings (2000 yen). It all came out at once in a big geta. Hmm, it's just okay. Not particularly impressive. Tuna, horse mackerel or sardine (I couldn't tell which) came out in pairs, not very interesting. There were also two tamago. The pickled daikon radish and cucumber roll seemed to be pre-made. There is also a 6000 yen omakase nigiri set on the lunch menu, so if you want to eat delicious sushi, I guess you should go for that. Today, it was reported that there were 149 new cases of COVID-19 in Tokyo and 507 cases nationwide.

I visited a restaurant located in the middle between Higashi-Ginza Station and Shin-Fumicho Station during the daytime. The restaurant is situated in a narrow alley with other dining options nearby. It seems like there are many long-standing establishments in the area. Upon entering the restaurant, I was given the option to sit on the first or second floor, and I chose the second floor as it was less crowded. I ordered the Nigiri Sushi (9 pieces, including tuna) for 1,500 yen. There were also higher-priced options like the "Kagayaki" and "Wa" sets priced at over 3,000 yen. The quality of the fish in the Nigiri I ordered was similar to what you would find in a typical sushi restaurant in the city. Additionally, the meal came with miso soup and salad. The rice was slightly sticky, but considering the price in Ginza, I think it was good value for money. Thank you for the meal.

One of the great things about Ginza is that there are many affordable sushi restaurants where you can have sushi for lunch. While some famous places start from around 3000 yen, there are also places that offer quality sushi for under 1000 yen. This restaurant is one of them. Their sushi set meal costs 1500 yen including tax. It includes 9 pieces of sushi, tamago, maki roll, salad, and miso soup. The sushi pieces are small and light. I particularly liked the crunchy turban shell, the fluffy anago, and the chewy squid. The miso soup with a fish broth is also delicious. I just realized while writing this review that they have a lunch beer for 300 yen. Suddenly, I'm feeling thirsty.

The live-caught sea bream at this place is really delicious! It's not always available, but they seem to frequently source good quality sea bream. The back side of the fish has a satisfying texture compared to the belly side, and you can really taste the flavor. I wonder why I keep coming back to this place, and I think it's mainly because of the chef's personality. You can tell that he truly loves fish and sushi. The way the hostess moves and interacts with customers is in perfect harmony with the chef, showing consideration for the customers, making it a very comfortable atmosphere!

This shop has a quite narrow counter, but it is a wonderful sushi restaurant in Ginza with reasonable prices and excellent ingredients. They have a list on the table that shows the fish and shellfish of the day along with their origins, which adds to the dining experience. Today, I was impressed once again. The back of the red snapper was especially amazing. The flavor, aroma, and texture were perfect. I heard that it needs to be processed fresh to achieve this taste. The small sardines from Toyohashi were also outstanding. They had a rich fatty taste that enhanced the flavor of the fish. The sea urchin from Akkeshi Hamanaka was top-notch. If you were to order this elsewhere, it would likely be quite expensive. The tuna from Oma was a treat after a long time. The lean meat had a nice iron-like taste. If I had to nitpick, I would prefer a bit more richness in the flavor. I heard from other sushi restaurants that this year's tuna may not have had enough squid in their diet, which could be the reason.

I revisited the restaurant because I couldn't forget the sea bream sushi I had last time, but unfortunately they didn't have any good ones today. Instead, I tried something else as the chef didn't seem satisfied with what he had. The temperature of the sushi rice could have been a little higher, but overall everything was delicious. I was particularly impressed by the tenderness of the eel today. It had a rich balance of flavors, fats, and textures that amazed me. The chef mentioned that the tenderness is influenced by the short time between catching and serving the fish, as they source their seafood live. I also had a clam sushi that I couldn't take a picture of due to its movement. In total, I had 11 pieces of sushi and a beer for 8700 yen. I will definitely visit again.

Seafood Chirashi (Large) 1,350 yen. It features seasonal fish and red vinegar sushi rice, which is very delicious! The large portion is an additional 50 yen, and it comes with a salad which is a nice touch. It can get crowded during weekday lunches, but Saturdays are recommended!

I tried the sushi with all natural ingredients. Started with a salad that was okay but not necessary. Then had 9 pieces of nigiri and some rolls, including tamago. Nigiri included tuna, mackerel, octopus, and salmon roe. Unfortunately, the eel I like wasn't tasty.

I was looking at the menu outside the restaurant when a woman who seemed to be the owner came out and mentioned that they source good ingredients from all over the country every day at Toyosu. I felt like having sushi, so I decided to go in without any prior information. They had quite a variety of sake and even some wine. I ordered the Shinsen No.6 and asked for nigiri only. They had starry flounder! It was divided into three parts from a 4kg fish, and they bought a portion of it. I also ordered Isaki, Rebun sea urchin, chutoro, and aori squid. The starry flounder was amazing! The chutoro and sea urchin were delicious too. The squid was also tasty! While it seems to be a trend to finely chop the fish for more contact area with the tongue, I personally prefer it as it is. The way they make the cuts on the fish, as well as other ingredients, seems to focus on enjoying the flavor, aroma, and texture that the ingredients naturally possess. After the first few pieces, we started chatting. The owner mentioned that red snapper is their favorite fish. I had only been impressed by red snapper once before, in Akashi, but this time, the red snapper (dorsal side) was beyond amazing! The appearance was beautiful, the flavor was refreshing, the texture was pleasant, and the umami was subtle yet profound. It was truly a culinary art from the sea to the fisherman, the wholesaler, the discerning eye, the chef, and finally to the eater. I also tried the belly side, but the dorsal side was unmatched. Apparently, red snapper in Akashi is only available as live fish or wild-caught, and they don't bother with techniques like nerve-cutting. It seems to be a cultural thing. I also tried live scallop, which was delicious and had a unique flavor. I had about 10 pieces of nigiri, excluding the sake, which amounted to just under 10,000 yen. While it may seem like a significant amount to me, it was definitely worth it. I had a delicious and enjoyable experience. This place is now one of my favorites. Thank you very much. I will definitely visit again!
