I noticed that this curry restaurant was located on the 2nd floor after climbing up a dark staircase, and decided to go in. It was around 1:00 PM on Sunday, and the place was full, so I waited at a low table by the window. After about 5-10 minutes, a table became available. The atmosphere inside the restaurant and the background music were unique and nice. The curry menu consisted of three options: green bean, eggplant, and yam curry, chicken achari curry, and a combination of both. Since it was my first time, I ordered the combination. The green bean, eggplant, and yam curry was gently sweet, while the chicken achari curry had a strong spice flavor. I also ordered a lemon sour, which was made with freshly squeezed lemon and was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the chicken curry, so I would like to try it again next time. There was only one staff member working that day, so we had to wait a bit for ordering and paying, but the food was delicious and the restaurant had a mysterious and enjoyable atmosphere.

On a hot day, I tried a new restaurant called Kaokoi Curry for lunch. They offer two types of curry which can also be mixed together, and you can get a discount of 50 yen if you order less rice, which is unusual. I ordered a mixed plate of two curries (1400 yen) with less rice (-50 yen). The curries were Ingen, Carrot, Eggplant Sambar-style (with fresh curry leaves and homemade sambar masala) and Chicken Korma with White Gravy (scented with cardamom, coconut, and cashew nut base). The curries were delicious and served with long grain rice. They accept both cash and card payments.

The addition of nut paste gives it a rich flavor. The Chicken Chettinadu has a delightful aroma, with onions and coconut milk blending perfectly. It's not greasy or heavy, thanks to the vegetables mixed in. Overall, it's a satisfying curry that won't leave you feeling too full.

Of course, if it's not sold out, on Saturdays until 3 pm and Sundays until 5 pm, which is great for me as I have a late lunch due to work. On this day, it was past 3 pm on Sunday, and my favorite places had already finished lunch, so I was pondering where to go when I passed by this shop. On this day, only a plate of two types of curry was available, with the price varying depending on the amount of rice. S is 150g for 1,200 yen, M is 200g for 1,400 yen, and L is 300g for 1,500 yen. The curries were Butter Chicken and Lotus Root, Bamboo Shoot, and Lentil. There were three curries on the plate that I'm not good at: ① Sweet curry ② Too spicy curry ③ Different meat curry. Let's try the Butter Chicken first, and the aroma is very good. It's not as strong as the Butter Chicken that makes you cough, which is a relief. It's been a while since I've had delicious Butter Chicken. In contrast, the Veggie and Lentil curry has the umami of vegetables and beans, as well as the texture of root vegetables, which I like. This kind of mixed plate is what I was looking for. The side dishes, Achar, Raita, and Subji, all taste delicious and change each time. The rice is a blend of Basmati and Japanese rice, and with the 200g of M size, I feel like I could use a little more, so maybe I'll go for the L size next time. I'm happy to have another curry shop that suits my taste in the neighborhood.

The menu only offers curry with the option to choose between small, medium, or large sizes. It comes with three side dishes to mix in while eating. The flavor is soft and likely to be well-received by everyone. It's slightly spicy, so if you don't like spicy food, it's best to consult when ordering. The masala chai is rich and has a good aftertaste, very delicious. I might like it more than regular chai.

My wife is a fan so we come here regularly. I don't really have any preferences so I leave it up to chance, but the curry is always delicious. This time we had black pepper chicken and chickpea and vegetable curry. The chicken curry had tender meat with a spicy taste. There are various types of spiced curries, but this one doesn't have chunky spices, making it easy to eat. I enjoyed a rich hot chai with ginger after the meal, and I look forward to coming back when the curry of the month changes again.

I received it with the Sambal-style sauce on the left, and it was incredibly delicious. Despite appearing simple at first glance, the Black Pepper Chicken was tender and had a wonderful aroma and flavor. The vegetables were finely chopped, providing a great texture. Despite being a generous portion, it didn't feel heavy and I devoured it all. This curry is gentle on the body and leaves you completely satisfied!

"Shrimp and scallop curry" and "Pumpkin, green pea, and daikon curry" - both with less rice. These two dishes may seem gentle at first glance, but seafood curry, which I don't often make at home, has a premium feel. Despite using coconut milk, it's not as mild as you might think, with a hint of green chili and a fragrant spice. The vegetable curry is also luxurious with lots of chunky vegetables. Green peas, which I don't usually buy myself, add a different accent compared to chickpeas. I enjoyed them deliciously again this week. For those shopping at Asakusa ROX or Kappabashi, be sure to visit on the weekend.

The temporary Indian curry shop, Gayapaji, was rented for an hour. The curry was slightly adjusted to have a Japanese twist, with a spicy green chili chicken curry that had a kick to it. It also included a medium-spicy curry with green beans, carrots, and cauliflower. Overall, it was truly delicious.

Spicy curry combo with two types of curry. The curry varieties seem to change quite frequently. I happened to notice it and went in, but I was already very satisfied. The interior of the restaurant had a unique atmosphere with Indian movies playing, and I really liked it.
