Fish Kin is my third visit, and this place is a bit more relaxed and great for chatting. The cost performance is good, and the fish is fresh, so there is a sense of security. I really liked the complimentary dish, which was a crab cream croquette. It goes well with a cold beer.

On Friday night, we were able to get a seat at the counter without a reservation. We ordered a sashimi platter for two, but compared to before, I didn't feel like it was as good of a deal. Maybe it's just the portion size or the price. The complimentary dish was crab cream croquette, which cost 500 yen. It seems things have changed a lot since the old days. It feels like Fukin is not as popular now. Thank you for the meal.

Met up with a friend in Gotanda for a drink. My friend mentioned wanting seafood since we had a lot of BBQ last week, so we ended up at this place I've heard of but never been to before. It seemed like a nice place, not just Japanese food. Inside, the lighting was dim and it had a romantic vibe, perfect for couples. We were seated at the counter and started with a toast of draft beer. We ordered chicken and fish dishes. The sushi platter with three kinds of fish was delicious, especially the thick slices of sashimi. The dish that surprised us was the new potato and shirasu cheese bake - it went well with both beer and sake! We enjoyed the food and drinks. I was curious about the open kitchen where an Asian young man was skillfully cooking alongside a Japanese chef, making perfectly square-shaped tamagoyaki. When asked, he said he was from Myanmar, away from his politically unstable homeland, cooking Japanese food for the Japanese. It was a touching moment. Thank you for the meal today! Shall we go to another place now?

When did the lunch service start? They have a wide variety of set meal menus, making it fun to choose. The mackerel culture dried set meal for 1,000 yen with sashimi for an additional 200 yen. The mackerel is big and satisfying! It has a good amount of fat and the skin is crispy, just the way I like it. The rice is also firm and delicious. The lunch prices are tax-inclusive and there is no service charge, making it very affordable. I also like dining here at night, but it can end up being a bit more expensive than expected due to the items mentioned above.

There are many fish restaurants in Gotanda, but this is my favorite. They have a variety of seasonal dishes, making it hard to choose. Everything is so generous in portion (laughs). Best cost performance! Thank you for the meal. Everything was delicious. I was surprised by the cream croquette as the appetizer (*^^*)

We used "Meguro River Uokin" in Nishi-Gotanda, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo for a dinner meeting. We have used this restaurant for workplace year-end parties in the past, and it is reasonable and convenient. In addition to fish dishes, other dishes are also delicious, so even if you are not a fan of fish, you can enjoy it.

I went for lunch! I ordered the set meal with deep-fried raw horse mackerel and a side of sashimi. The deep-fried raw horse mackerel was so delicious, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The portion was generous and the price of 980 yen for the set meal was a great deal. It's a restaurant near my home, so I will definitely be visiting regularly!

I used it for lunch. Exit the ticket gate at Gotanda Station, cross the road in front of you to the taxi stand, enter the small road, and it's on the first floor across from that Italian Romano restaurant. It took less than a minute from Gotanda Station! It's a bit confusing that the name is Gotanda but it's near Meguro River and Uokin. Maybe because Meguro River is right ahead? They had stopped serving lunch for a while, but they resumed weekday lunches, so I visited with my aunt. There are many lunch menu options, as expected of Uokin. I added sashimi side dishes to my lunch. It's nice that you can enjoy Uokin's sashimi for just an additional 200 yen. The inside of the restaurant has a calm atmosphere, and the sashimi and other dishes were good. The service is quick, making it a great place for lunch. I will visit again!

For the second bar in Gotanda, we went to Uokin. I often have lunch at the Uokin in Meguro, so I felt right at home. We had large oyster fry, scallion tempura, and tsukune. The scallion tempura was crispy and tender, very delicious!

At night, I went to "Megurogawa Uokin." We ordered the perfect amount of sashimi assortment called "Tamatebako" and the recommended "Dashimaki Tamago" with mentaiko, as well as the fried eggplant. The sashimi was so fresh and delicious - the tuna and yellowtail were thick and meaty, and the shrimp was huge. The price was really worth it with the egg rolls and rolls included. Most tables seemed to be ordering sashimi assortments tailored to the number of people. The mentaiko dashimaki tamago was also delicious - spicy and generously filled with mentaiko. Unfortunately, the recommended lotus root tempura was sold out, so we ordered the fried eggplant, which was also delicious with lots of eggplant chunks. Surprisingly, there were seven different versions of lemon sour available, and my friend tried various ones like sweet and cello. She makes her own lemon sour, so she was happy with the variety. There were hand-drawn maps at the entrance showing the four stores in Gotanda. Although Uokin is known for its nighttime atmosphere, this branch also serves lunch, so I would like to try it next time. I'm sure the seafood bowl is absolutely delicious. After returning to the office following a long weekend, I decided to have lunch in Gotanda. I visited "Megurogawa Uokin," a restaurant that is part of the famous Uokin group. When I sat at the counter, the staff informed me that "Instead of grilled mackerel, we have saury today." Saury, huh? I haven't had it yet this year. I decided to enjoy this autumn ingredient. So, I ordered the "Grilled and Sashimi Saury." The dish arrived in less than 10 minutes. Huh? Isn't the saury a bit thin? I heard in the news that saury with good fat content is not available due to poor fishing. Unfortunately, it seemed to apply here as well. In conclusion, a skinny saury cannot be delicious. I quickly shifted my focus and tried the sashimi. First, the tuna. What is this? It was full of tendons. And then the bonito. Huh? It was too strong!! It was so fishy and unpleasant to eat. It made me almost dislike bonito sashimi. I ended up leaving two out of three pieces uneaten. The rice was too soft and watery as well. What's going on here? I had high expectations because it's a Uokin group restaurant, but I was completely let down. What a shame.

I went to the second restaurant, but I didn't eat any fish. The reason was that my companion was feeling sick. In hindsight, even though the restaurant was known for its fish dishes, the non-fish dishes we tried were actually quite good. The chashu served as an appetizer was particularly delicious, with a nice amount of fat. Generally, places with good appetizers tend to have tasty food overall (even though it's 100 yen more expensive). I will make this restaurant a research target as well. Next time, I will try a restaurant in Shinbashi. Thank you for the meal.

The interior of the restaurant is dimly lit with a calming atmosphere. The seating is spacious and comfortable. I had the eel and chicken teriyaki lunch set for 1,280 yen. I'm not sure about the quality of the eel, but it wasn't like the rubbery texture of Chinese eel, so it was fairly tasty. For this price, the size of the eel was acceptable. The large chunks of chicken were the most satisfying part. I like the presentation of the lunch box with finely chopped seaweed on top, but the seaweed was cut too finely and there wasn't enough of it, so the seaweed flavor was barely noticeable, which was disappointing. The rolled omelette was a bit too much in terms of balance, and if they had added a little more teriyaki sauce, it would have been even more delicious.

I visited the restaurant "Meguro River Uokin" in Gotanda for the first time in a while as part of our plan to drink in the area. The place is usually crowded at night, making it hard to get in, but this time we arrived on a Saturday around 7pm and were able to enter smoothly without waiting. The restaurant was already full, but we were lucky to find two seats available at the counter. Since we were already full from drinking at two other places, we only ordered the complimentary crab cream croquette and seaweed tofu, along with 2-3 drinks. I also ordered my usual sake, "Oze no Yukidoke (Ginjo)", which I always get when I come here. The seaweed tofu was as delicious as ever, a high-quality dish perfect for finishing off a night of drinking. Normally, I would order a seafood sashimi platter, but that will have to wait for next time... I will definitely visit again soon!

☆Gotanda Station☆ I went to Megurogawa Uokin for an izakaya experience and fresh fish lunch. There were options like sashimi platter, simmered golden-eyed fish, and horse mackerel fry, but I decided to go with the oyster fry set meal. It came with four large oysters and side dishes, filling me up with its generous portion. Thank you for the meal.

Fish Kin is a winner no matter which branch you visit! I've been to the Shinbashi branch quite a bit, but this was my first time at the Gotanda branch. There are actually several branches in Gotanda. ⭐️ Assorted sashimi ⭐️ Seared stingray fin ⭐️ Seaweed tofu (small) ⭐️ Spicy drooling chicken I always order the assorted sashimi, and the cost performance is the best! The quality is top-notch, of course! ( ・∇・) The other dishes also have a good volume, are delicious, and have reasonable prices (^○^) It's a convenient favorite restaurant that I always want to visit regularly ♫

When you exit the west exit of Gotanda Station and enter the alley between the Meguro River and the JR railway tracks, you will find Megurogawa Uokin. I always had the impression that "Uokin" is always crowded, so I hesitated to go there. I visited during a slightly late lunchtime, and there was only one other group of customers. I thought they would serve fish dishes at Uokin, so I ordered the mackerel fry set meal. The crispy mackerel fry and miso soup with clams were delicious. I would like to eat this mackerel fry again. Great value for money, so I decided to try this place in the neighborhood for the first time. It wasn't too crowded and had a nice atmosphere. I added the rumored "treasure box" for an extra ¥200, which came with premium tuna. I was surprised when it arrived! There were a total of 12 varieties of sashimi - definitely worth a visit. The drinks were a bit on the expensive side though.

On Thursday afternoon, I visited "Megurogawa Uokin," which seems to have started serving lunch to get into the Friday mood. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was nice. I sat at a table and checked the menu. I was unsure of what to order, but this time I chose the "Deluxe Sashimi Set" (1280 yen excluding tax). After ordering, the eagerly awaited fresh fish arrived. It looked quite luxurious. I dug in right away. The taste was excellent! If I have the chance next time, I would like to try their dinner menu as well.
