Visiting various kinds of new things at Kushikatsu Tanaka is always fun. I enjoy the friendly atmosphere, like making my own chinchirorin and potato salad, and the kindness of the staff. I love the kushikatsu with my favorite pickled ginger and yam. It's definitely worth going for that. They also have some challenging menu items that are refreshing to try. The bill is also reasonable. The menu I ordered included kushikatsu with pickled ginger, lotus root, quail eggs, yam, tarako, ham katsu, pork skewers, tomato, green pepper, and potato salad. This time, I really liked the quail eggs and tomatoes. I plan to go regularly! It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

On Friday around 9 pm, I visited with a friend. The restaurant was full due to it being Friday, and we were seated at a table for two. However, there were coats and other items hanging on the wall that made it difficult for us to sit properly... I wish they had been more considerate. We were eventually moved to a different table. It had been a while since I last visited, but the kushikatsu was consistently delicious. I will try again on a weekday next time! Thank you for the meal.

It's definitely cheap to have 14 skewers and 6 sour drinks for a little over 6,000 yen for two people. And it's quite delicious too. The Chinchiro service involves rolling two dice: if you get doubles, you get a free drink; if you get an even number, you get half off a drink; if you get an odd number, you get double the amount of drinks for the price of two. It's a great deal if you plan to have more than two drinks. We tried it three times this time: first roll was even (half off), second roll was even (half off), and third roll was odd (double amount). So we got to have 4 drinks for the price of 3.

I went to Kushikatsu Tanaka for the second time and I'm hooked on their meat skewers and drinks! They serve plenty of tofu and meat, so I'm always satisfied. Even though I was already full, I couldn't resist ordering the onion skewers for just 100 yen! They were so delicious freshly fried. After playing a game of Chinchirorin, I got two free lemon sours! It's cheap, you can eat all the cabbage you want, and it's the best place to go for a quick and satisfying meal!

I went for a casual drink and dinner in Ebisu. First, I had a standing drink and then headed to "Kushikatsu Tanaka" for dinner. Here is what we ordered:
- Chinchiro (dice game) Zorome x2: 0 yen
- Chinchiro (dice game) Odd x2: 798 yen
- Onion skewer: 100 yen
- Red pickled ginger skewer x2: 160 yen
- Smelt fish: 250 yen
- Asparagus: 280 yen
- Tomato: 160 yen
- Cheese: 250 yen
- Katsu udon (small): 420 yen
We tried our luck with the dice game and got two free drinks with matching numbers. Lucky start! But the second round of Chinchiro resulted in an odd number, leading to a Mega Highball order!
As for the kushikatsu, I always order the red pickled ginger and onion skewers. Today, I also tried the smelt fish. The ginger with the crispy batter was refreshing, and the onion turned sweet when cooked. The smelt fish was enjoyed with salt, soy sauce, and sauce, each providing a different flavor experience.
We shared a small portion of katsu udon. The fried meat offal was delicious and filling.
Due to COVID, the dipping sauce served in cans has been replaced with bottled special sauce, which affects the taste experience. It's a bit disappointing.
Overall rating:
Taste: 3
Service: 3
Atmosphere: 2.5
Value for money: 4

Thank you for the delicious kushikatsu. Looking forward to trying more varieties next time!

I want to visit again, but I deduct points because I couldn't enter when it was crowded. It's fun to choose from the menu, everyone can order what they want, no smell of cigarettes! The young staff members provide excellent customer service. The cost performance is also good!

[Weekend Dinner in Ebisu, Appetizer Edition]
I met up with an acquaintance in Ebisu to enjoy dinner while having a few drinks. Without a plan, we started walking and ended up naturally at a restaurant we used to visit frequently before the pandemic, called "Kushikatsu Tanaka". My acquaintance wasn't feeling well, so we decided to just have some cheap drinks and fried food to pass the time! We arrived at the restaurant around 5:40 PM and found that all the reserved seats were taken due to the weekend rush, but luckily we were able to sit at the counter. Lucky us!
[Visited by 2 people]
- Jim Beam Highball x4 (99 yen each)
- Potato Salad (490 yen)
- Pickled Plum Cucumber (430 yen)
- Horse Meat Bacon (650 yen)
- Cabbage Appetizer (280 yen)
When we tried to order the "Chinchirorin," we found out that it was Happy Hour, so the highballs were only 99 yen each! We didn't hesitate to order the Happy Hour highballs and raised a toast to the end of another week. The potato salad was mixed to our liking with all the ingredients provided in a mortar. The base flavor was mayonnaise, with a salty pork bits, sweet seasoned egg, creating a delicious balance.
The pickled plum cucumber had a mild salty and sour flavor from the plum paste, making it irresistible! The horse meat bacon was a favorite of my companion, tasting like bacon made from horse meat. It was dipped in a slightly sweet sauce and was delicious. We also had two servings of the cabbage appetizer, eating it raw and crunchy, and even asked for a second serving!
Despite the temptation of fried food, we stuck to our plan of focusing on cheap drinks and appetizers. Thank you for the delicious food. Itadakimasu! Next time, I'd like to try the pickled ginger, onion, and fried smelt! Now, onto finding the main course at the next restaurant!

When did Kushikatsu Tanaka become Kushikatsu Miyasako! It seems that Miyasako-san acquired the naming rights through a crowdfunding campaign by Kushikatsu Tanaka, and they will have a limited-time operation from July 1st to 31st. There are Miyasako-exclusive menu items such as takoyaki, drinks, and snacks, in addition to the regular menu. The usual menu items remain unchanged. ★Chinchirorin Highball We played three times and all three times odd numbers came up, so it ended up just being double the price. ★Miyasako Highball Since we were there, we decided to order the Miyasako Highball. It seems to have Miyasako's essence in it, but... Nutritional drink? The color looks somewhat blueish or greyish, full of suspiciousness haha ★Kushikatsu Pork, pork with shiso, tulip, shiitake By the way, as a COVID-19 measure, the double-dipping sauce has been eliminated and the sauce container was used instead. The kushikatsu is still delicious as always! ★Potato Salad with Mentaiko Mayonnaise It's the type where you mix the potatoes yourself, with plenty of mayonnaise. ★Cabbage Appetizer This is free for refills. ★Meat Sucking (Tofu) It's light and the tofu really soaks up the flavors after drinking. ★Hormone Stir-Fry It's a bit fatty. Lastly, when I drew a lottery-like ticket, I received a Miyasako sticker. By the way, if you subscribe to Miyasako's YouTube channel or tweet about it on Twitter, you can get a free drink.

Today, I felt like visiting "Kushikatsu Tanaka" after a long time. The restaurant had set up tables for takeout due to the current situation. When I entered, there were only two customers seated. I ordered various kushikatsu items such as kiss fish, scallop, curry ball, white onion, and pickled ginger. I also had dried horse mackerel, potato salad, chilled bell peppers, and boiled peanuts. The kushikatsu had a crispy coating as always, and my favorites were the sweet onion, kiss fish with soy sauce, and pickled ginger. The dried horse mackerel had a bacon-like texture and flavor. The DIY potato salad was delicious with the addition of spicy sauce and shichimi pepper. The chilled bell peppers were refreshing with a sweet sauce. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and will definitely come back for more delicious dishes next time!

Visited Tanaka for the first time in a while. Still love their Chinchiror Highball! Wait, was it always this delicious? Excited to be back at Tanaka after a long time!! Tried the seasonal menu item, Takaida-style ramen, and it's way better than ramen from other places! I was tempted to order another one, but my wife wanted curry udon...which was also delicious! The food was great, but what really impressed us was the excellent service from the female staff in the restaurant. Score goes way up! Will definitely be back. It's a shame they don't accept cards, but with this value for money, we're satisfied.

I visited for the first time. The entrance is simple and the shop is compact. Upon entering, before even being greeted, they confirmed the last order time... and even after being seated, they confirmed the last order time again... hmm? I thought there was still plenty of time, but feeling a bit rushed, I quickly placed my order. There were some unique menu items that you can't find elsewhere, but I chose the more traditional options. Among them, the red ginger kushikatsu was addictively delicious. Rolling the dice for the chinchirorin game was fun. However, the lighting was harsh and I left soon after eating. A bit disappointing.

On a Friday night, we came to this place for our second stop. Even though we were already full, we decided to have some snacks and drinks. We didn't order any skewers, but the thin potato fries were so delicious, we couldn't stop eating them. We ended up ordering eel skewers while a bit tipsy, and they were fluffy and thick, very tasty. I didn't have high expectations for the drinks since it's a cheap place, but surprisingly discovered a delicious Kyoto sake. It had a soft taste and was enjoyable. The menu was extensive and the quality was good, not just cheap. Overall, it was a reliable and affordable place to enjoy some good skewers at Kushi Katsu Tanaka.

I didn't know it was the last day of the campaign offering all skewers for 100 yen each or highballs for 100 yen. I chose skewers, but now I slightly regret not choosing the highball. However, the skewers at Kushi Katsu Tanaka never disappoint. It was a bit unfortunate that there was a customer with a loud voice.

I think everyone knows the national chain Kushikatsu Tanaka. The interior of the restaurant has a basic and eclectic feel, which adds to its charm. The service is provided by energetic staff who are very friendly. I recently took advantage of their 100 yen per skewer campaign, which was really cheap. This campaign is held regularly, so be sure to check their website for details. The kushikatsu was delicious, and surprisingly, their takoyaki and yakisoba were also tasty. While it may not compare to higher-end kushikatsu courses or creative skewers, it offers great value for basic kushikatsu. It's a good place for a quick drink or a light snack. I will definitely visit again!

I was looking to kill some time before the show at LIQUIDROOM, and happened to come across this place. I had been curious about it for a while but never had the chance to go, so I decided to check it out. The interior was simple with round chairs, creating a casual atmosphere. I was lucky to visit during a promotion where I could choose between half-priced beer or all skewers for 108 yen each. I opted for the skewers as it seemed like a better deal. The place was about 70% full. Normally, the skewers are divided into four price ranges, but during my visit, they were all the same price. I ordered the classic beef cutlet as well as cheese, asparagus, and tomato skewers. The staff even brought mayonnaise for some skewers, showing attention to detail. The cheese skewer was delicious, like a trendy hatto-gu. The skewers were not as greasy as I expected, making them quite enjoyable. The tomato skewer was also good, but be careful as it can be very hot. Eating pickled ginger between skewers helps refresh your palate and revive your appetite. There are two types of sauces, with the double dipping sauce being light, so those who like stronger flavors should use plenty of it. The spicy sauce is surprisingly hot, so be cautious not to inhale it. The cabbage is free for refills and serves as a palate cleanser. They also offer a Chinchirorin Highball, where you roll dice to determine if your drink is free, half-priced, or doubled, which is a nice bonus. I ended up getting 6 drinks for the price of 2. I understand now why it's so popular. If you're not too picky, it's definitely worth another visit. Some locations even offer all-you-can-eat options, so I might try a local spot next time.

【Kushikatsu Tanaka】- Ebisu Flying Week!!!!
This week is the Flying Week at Kushikatsu Tanaka. If you bring a flyer printed from the website, you can get kushikatsu for 100 yen each. I go there with my colleagues from work about 1-2 times every six months. Today, there were five of us and we had a two-hour all-you-can-drink option. The beef tendon skewers were 420 yen, the smoked horse meat was 580 yen, and the pickled cucumbers were 350 yen. The smoked horse meat tasted like ham, but I still prefer the fresh version. The beef tendon skewers were as reliable as ever. They always make me crave rice. We also had mushroom, shrimp, onion, lotus root, potato, shiitake mushroom, ginkgo nuts, fish cake, asparagus, chicken wings, and more. I usually stick to what I like and don't take risks, but the chicken wings are my favorite. I don't mind if they are fried instead of skewered. The best value for money would probably be the shrimp (especially when they are 100 yen each). Even though the kushikatsu were 100 yen each with all-you-can-drink, we ended up ordering more than we expected, and it came out to 3,500 yen per person. It was a great meal.

I think everyone knows, but it's seriously cheap! It's great for the zero o'clock meeting. For the first meeting, I felt a little lacking in flavor and atmosphere. It was 10,000 yen for four people! I want to go again!
