On Monday night, I was in the mood for a bucket. So, I visited "Tono Genghis Khan Sakaba Yoshida." When I entered the restaurant, I felt the atmosphere of Tono. Today, I tried the "First Bucket Course" with all-you-can-drink (4500 yen excluding tax). First, I cheers with beer! Drinking beer on a Monday night is the best. The course included lamb and other dishes suitable for a first bucket experience. The taste was satisfying and delicious. It was nice to be able to enjoy dishes like Yukhoe. I hope to visit again when I have the chance, after the situation with the coronavirus settles down.

I heard that lamb meat is low in calories and contains nutrients that have fat-burning and diet effects. It's like killing two birds with one stone for me as I'm currently on a diet. When it comes to Genghis Khan, the image that comes to mind is Hokkaido. However, in Toono City, Iwate Prefecture, sheep meat has been popular since around 1955, and it is a familiar dish for the residents of Toono City. The unique feature of Toono Genghis Khan is the style of using a bucket on a grill to eat (placing a Genghis Khan pot on a bucket to cook). This bucket Genghis Khan has become synonymous with Toono Genghis Khan. The lamb meat served is fresh and delicious, including Australian shoulder meat, rump meat, and lamb chops. I have become completely captivated by this Genghis Khan and have visited two weeks in a row. The generous Chorogi salad and grilled vegetables can be adjusted for one person, which is a thoughtful touch. This is my first time eating authentic Genghis Khan, but here you can enjoy delicious Genghis Khan comfortably alone at the counter (of course, there are also table seats). Thank you for the delicious meal. I will visit again! *Please note that the restaurant is located on the basement floor (no elevator), so it may be difficult to use a wheelchair.

Great! The staff was friendly! Saw comedians including Saraba Seishun drinking here! It was my first time visiting, but the restaurant was clean and the food was delicious. I tried lamb honeycomb for the first time and it was tasty without any unpleasant smell, and the tongue was also delicious. The atmosphere and service were perfect, and I had a fun meal without any complaints! Thank you very much.

Iwate Prefecture's Tono City reportedly has the highest consumption of Genghis Khan (grilled lamb) on a municipal level in Japan. Unlike Hokkaido, it is cooked in a yakiniku style and then dipped in sauce before eating each piece carefully. It costs around 8,000 yen to drink and eat, making it slightly more luxurious compared to places like Matsuo Genghis Khan, but definitely worth it. There are even people dining alone at the counter. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also nice. Smoking is allowed in all seats.

I tried lamb yukhoe and hormone for the first time and both were delicious without any unpleasant smell. Regarding hormone, I think it's a matter of preference, but I like it more than beef. I ate from the soba noodles to the dessert pineapple and I'm full. #GenghisKhan #lamb #BaketsuGenghisKhan #delicious #yum #foodie #ToonoBaketsuYoshida #TokyoGourmet #GotandaGourmet

After Rei-chan's live performance, I went with a friend. I couldn't take photos because I was in charge of grilling... only got a picture of the first yukhoe. In Iwate, they use a bucket instead of a shichirin. The lamp and pork shoulder were delicious. The dice steak was tough, thick, and not great. They had non-alcoholic beer even though it wasn't on the menu. Whether it's true that people in the past grilled meat with helmets or not, living in the Reiwa era, I will continue to advocate for grilling on a flat iron plate or grill.

If you want to eat lamb in Gotanda, I highly recommend this restaurant. It's usually crowded, but I was able to make a last-minute reservation and it was surprisingly empty. They have both counter and table seating, so it's a comfortable place to visit alone. There were also solo female customers there. The yukhoe (Korean beef tartare) and heart dishes were incredibly delicious.

Genghis Khan battleground of Gotanda. Among them, I personally want to recommend this as the number one shop. When it comes to Genghis Khan, many people think of Hokkaido, but apparently it is also a specialty in Tohno. They are known for their unique bucket Genghis Khan, which is not commonly seen elsewhere. The meat is tender and full of the delicious flavor of lamb. It is easy to eat without a strong smell of lamb. Personally, I find the shoulder loin and lamb chops to be especially delicious. There is not too much greasy fat, so you can eat it smoothly without feeling heavy. A unique item is the lamb sausage, which is delicious with spices similar to tandoori chicken. Overall, there are no disappointments with any menu items, so if you feel like eating Genghis Khan, I highly recommend trying this place.

The Tohno Genghis Khan Sakaba in Gotanda was amazing. We decided to go there on a whim because we wanted to eat something. The lamb shoulder loin and lamb chops were large and had no gamey taste, they were fresh and full of flavor. The fresh vegetables and side dishes were also great, and they had a wide selection of various sake and Japanese sake. It was a great place to enjoy the famous bucket Genghis Khan from Tohno City, Iwate Prefecture, in Tokyo. The cost was around 6,000 to 7,000 yen per person, but it was worth it for the delicious Genghis Khan. I will definitely go back again.

Occasionally, we decided to try Genghis Khan at Yoshida in Gotanda. This restaurant is known for its bucket Genghis Khan and is the first to open in Tokyo from the city of Iwate, which is the largest consumer of lamb in Japan. We ordered the recommended course with all-you-can-drink option, including pre-malt drinks. The course included lamb shoulder loin, lamb rump, lamb heart, assorted vegetables, chorogi salad, lamb tartare, pickles, lamb seiro soba, and dessert. Starting with lamb tartare, we grilled the fresh shoulder loin and rump in the famous bucket pot. It was delicious, but it was a bit disappointing that lamb chops were not included in the course and had to be ordered separately. The staff mentioned that the course had a good amount of food, but for lamb lovers, it might be a bit lacking in meat. Adding about three extra items seemed to be just right. It's a casual Genghis Khan bar where you can enjoy lamb and all-you-can-drink. Lamb chops are a must-order item. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I heard that a Genghis Khan restaurant opened in Tono, Iwate Prefecture, so I visited right away. I sat at the counter and watched the master's skills. Suddenly, a grill placed on a bucket was brought over, which surprised me. It seems to be famous locally. The thickly sliced meat was fresh, satisfying to eat, and had a taste that didn't get boring. The rice portion was generous, and I was able to finish even the last drop of soup.

I came here for the first time in over a year. There are two Genghis Khan restaurants on the west side, "Genghis Khan Yagiichi" from the station, and "Genghis Khan Kirishima" from Osaki Hirokoji, and this one is located nearby. Each one has a different taste, and this one follows the style of Tono, Iwate. They recreate the style of cooking Genghis Khan in a bucket with charcoal inside (they have modified the inside of the bucket to become a stove). They also offer rare parts like lamb liver, and the quality of the meat is excellent. It's a traditional Genghis Khan that doesn't rely on sauce to hide the flavor (the sauce is also delicious).

The restaurant serves relatively light and fresh lamb meat. They offer a style of Jingisukan where you dip the meat in sauce before eating. The lamb meat has a beautiful color and is cooked on a special bucket. The restaurant is very clean and the counter seats have a bar-like atmosphere. We had a course meal and enjoyed various dishes and cuts of meat, which we found to be good value for money. Thank you very much. It was a delicious meal.

A few days ago, I was craving lamb meat so I searched on Tabelog and found this place. It was my first time here, so I went with the recommended course with all-you-can-drink for 5000 yen. The salad and lamb yukhoe that came out first seemed like a small portion for three people. The Genghis Khan had four different types, all of which were delicious! There were also dumplings, although I didn't eat them, the other two people said they were tasty. Everything was delicious without any gamey taste. I added lamb chops, more yukhoe, raw lamb shoulder loin, raw lamb rump, and grilled vegetables to the course and left feeling satisfied. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Head to the Genghis Khan restaurant located at the west exit of Gotanda Station. The restaurant is on the basement floor. They offer a Bucket Genghis Khan course for 4,500 yen, which includes a 2-hour all-you-can-drink option. The Bucket Genghis Khan style involves placing a bucket under the iron plate where the meat is cooked. This style is popular among Genghis Khan restaurants in Iwate Prefecture.
- Appetizer: A delicious crunchy sheep hormone dish was served as a starter.
- Raw lamb shoulder loin
- Raw lamb rump
- Lamb tongue
- Lamb heart
The meat dishes were all tender and flavorful, with a generous portion and a variety of cuts to choose from.
- Assorted vegetables: Cabbage, bean sprouts, carrots, enoki mushrooms, a plentiful selection.
- Assorted pickles: Radish, cucumber, red turnip, daikon, a nice palate cleanser.
- Yoshida salad: A large plate with a generous serving.
- Lamb tartare: The sheep meat tartare was surprisingly delicious without any strong taste.
- Lamb fried dumplings: Crispy fried dumplings with lamb meat, a great combination.
- Dessert: Frozen yogurt with blueberries, a refreshing finish.
There was also an option to add 500 yen for an extended all-you-can-drink sake course. The variety of dishes in the Bucket course was excellent, and I would love to visit again.

I discovered a great restaurant in Gotanda! I had been curious about this place every time I walked by since it opened. I love lamb, and even tried eating Genghis Khan by myself like in the show "The Lonely Gourmet", so I was eager to visit this place. The reviews were good. I made it my goal to eat a lot of lamb shoulder, so I ordered enough for everyone. It was cooked quickly and tasted delicious. A person from Hokkaido even exclaimed how good it was! The lamb was tender and had a unique meaty flavor. The vegetables were also delicious. The pickles were incredibly tasty! The lamb chops were popular with the younger customers and were very tasty. The alcohol went down smoothly. I was curious about the lamb meat sauce, and it turned out to be a proper ragu and was very delicious. I will definitely visit again! I realized that the Genghis Khan I had eaten before was nothing compared to this. I highly recommend it!

In the fiercely competitive area of meat in Gotanda, a new restaurant has opened. It's not just any yakiniku, but Genghis Khan. Nearby, there is also Genghis Khan Kirishima, owned by former sumo wrestler Kirishima. This Genghis Khan uses Genghis Khan meat from Tono, a famous Genghis Khan spot in Iwate Prefecture. When you think of Genghis Khan, you might think of Hokkaido, right? Tono is where I happened to visit last year. Tono Shokuniku Center Restaurant 0198-62-2242 Iwate Prefecture, Tono City, Matsuzaki-cho, Shiraiwa 20-13-1. There are two major players, Shokuniku Center and Anbe. The people there eat lamb regularly. They even sell lamb at supermarkets. They also eat lamb at barbecues. They have a unique style called Bucket Genghis Khan, where they barbecue in a metal bucket with holes in the backyard, which is quite wild. The Genghis Khan in Tono replicates this style. The meat is tender and moist without any gamey taste. The sauce is delicious, with a fruity sweetness and a unique addictive flavor. It's original. It was a very delicious Genghis Khan. Thank you for the meal!

I visited the newly opened restaurant on its first day by chance as it happened to be my day off. The meat was juicy and I was able to fully enjoy the deliciousness of lamb. I also felt the staff's consideration, which was very heartwarming. The local sake from Iwate Prefecture was also delicious. Congratulations on the new opening! I will definitely visit again. \(^_^)/

I couldn't eat Genghis Khan during my trip to Iwate, so I came back to Tokyo to have a rematch. The calm restaurant interior and attentive staff made it a comfortable experience. I also eat Genghis Khan in Hokkaido, but this place is even more delicious. I will definitely come back again.

I couldn't forget the taste of the shoulder loin from my last visit, so I came back again! This time, I ordered plenty of shoulder loin, lamb meat, dumplings, and yukhoe. I also tried to be a little health-conscious with my drink choice, opting for a moringa highball. The shoulder loin was as delicious as ever, with the perfect pairing of sauce. When eaten with white rice, I couldn't stop eating! The pasta I had for dessert was also filling. This is definitely a Mongolian barbecue restaurant that I want to visit again.

A new great restaurant has opened in Gotanda. It's a Genghis Khan (Mongolian barbecue) place that lamb lovers will be happy about. Smoking is allowed, the toilets are separate for men and women, and the inside of the restaurant is quite spacious with comfortable table seating. The service is friendly and likable. On this day, I tried the specialty Bucket Genghis Khan (a Genghis Khan pot served on a bucket). The lamb meat assortment includes shoulder loin, lamp, and tongue, with a decent amount of meat. The shoulder loin is especially delicious and worth ordering on its own. The lamp is lean and those who like lean meat will enjoy it, but personally, I wasn't a fan of the tongue. Unlike beef tongue, it has an organ-like texture and doesn't have much flavor. The drink selection is wide, including craft beer from Tohno which was quite tasty. Although the restaurant is new, the smoke ventilation isn't very strong, so when I left, my whole body had absorbed the smell. This seems to be the fate of Genghis Khan restaurants. Next time, I want to try the lamb shabu-shabu.
