It is tailored to the level of being a tenant in a department store.

I went to Shinjuku over the weekend and took care of various errands. On my way back, feeling a bit hungry, I had a late lunch (around 4:00 PM) at Isetan Dining. Due to the time, it was relatively empty and I didn't have to wait in line. After looking at the menu for a while, I finally decided to order the "Ankake Yakisoba Set". It had plenty of ingredients and the noodles were well-coated, making it delicious. The set also came with gyoza and almond jelly, providing a good balance and portion size!

I revisited ISETAN DINING located in the restaurant floor of Isetan Shinjuku Store, directly connected to Shinjuku Sanchome Station. It is a family-friendly restaurant on the 7th floor of the main building of Isetan Shinjuku Store, known as "Eat Paradise." The interior is bright and spacious, with well-spaced seating and many sofa seats, making it recommended for families with small children or elderly guests. With 170 seats, the restaurant has a large capacity, allowing for quick turnover. ISETAN DINING is essentially a branch of Royal Host, with some menu items and prices changed but many common products, giving it a feel of a high-class version of Royal Host. The menu offers a wide range of Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes, as well as a kids' menu. This time, I ordered the summer limited edition menu, "Hiyashi Chuka" for ¥1,850. It is a set of chilled Chinese noodles with a choice of soy sauce or sesame sauce. The set also includes shumai and almond jelly, which is a nice addition. The Hiyashi Chuka is a classic dish with steamed chicken, shredded omelet, ham, cucumber, jellyfish, tomato, and a large shrimp on top. You can also add mini desserts at a reasonable price when you order a meal.

On Sundays, I always had the impression that lunch at Isetan was expensive and crowded. However, the prices were only slightly higher and the restaurant was spacious, so we didn't have to wait long to get in. It's a family-friendly restaurant. My wife had a tempura soba set, my child had a ramen set, and I had a set with yakisoba and gyoza. I also had a full mug of beer. In total, it cost 7000 yen. It was worth it.

I used it for a celebration. I will only list what I ordered. Since I was treated, I have a rough idea of the amount. Angus beef steak 450g (with rice, salad, and soup) for 5,780 yen: It may not be clear from the photo, but it is thick! It has a good texture and chewiness! It is not as tender as Japanese beef, but it was delicious. There are two types of sauces, Japanese and Western. The potatoes as a side dish were also good. It was just past 12 o'clock, so I thought it would be crowded, but I was able to enter without waiting too long, as I was second in line and only had to wait for about 10 minutes. I was in the mood for some meat, so I ordered the Angus sirloin steak & grilled lobster. Both the meat and the lobster were delicious. Especially the seasoning of the lobster was excellent. However, when I took a sip of the onion soup, I thought, "This taste seems familiar." And as I was eating the main dish, I had a feeling that I had seen this menu somewhere before... And the answer to this puzzling feeling was resolved at the time of payment. To my surprise, there were Royal Deli products being sold in the freezer next to the cash register. So, does this mean that this restaurant is operated by Royal Host? When I later looked at the Royal Host menu, it was basically the same, but with slight differences in the amount of meat in grams, adding a touch of originality. Well, it was more delicious than expected, so I'm happy with it.

Emergency evacuation information revisited on 10/1/2022. At Isetan's Eat Paradise, a place that could be considered the heart and soul of the mall, I experienced something unexpected. I ordered a Kirin Zero ICHI because I was abstaining from alcohol. Firstly, it was not chilled well. I also ordered the pork cutlet curry that I had planned from the beginning. My wife was with me as well. We waited quite a while. When the pork cutlet curry arrived, the appearance of the pork cutlet was not good. In reality, when I tried to eat it, it was crispy and fell apart quickly, and it didn't go well with the curry. The salad was quite tasty, but the portion was small. The onion soup was also lacking. There was nothing good about it. I didn't have such negative feelings when I had it before. This pork cutlet curry is no good. The price is on the higher side. Very disappointing. I came here under the pretext of buying ingredients for dinner, but in reality, I came here to eat the pork cutlet curry, so the disappointment was intense. I hope the dining establishment improves. The service is good. The pork cutlet was just not good. Disappointing.

After touring around Isetan Shinjuku store and feeling tired, I wanted to take a break but all the restaurants inside were crowded. Luckily, I went at a different time and didn't have to wait. I recharged with something sweet. I had the Banana Brulee Parfait for 830 yen plus a drink set for 380 yen. The crunchy texture on the surface was nice. On the 7th floor of Isetan Shinjuku, there is a restaurant called "Isetan Dining." This three-day weekend, everywhere was crowded, but this place was relatively easy to get into without much wait. It's a casual restaurant where children are also welcome. After my workout, I wanted to have a meal that was conscious of my diet, so I chose this place. I ordered a steak salad as I am currently on a diet, and even though it came as a set with bread and soup, I felt satisfied with just that.

I can't come here often because the menu at this upscale family restaurant is limited. However, it seems convenient for bringing a lot of kids and it's not crowded, so if you're going to Isetan, it's a good choice. The only thing that concerns me is that it's quite upscale and the doria set is around 1700 yen? More expensive than Royal Host!笑

The salad and soup were served first, followed by the main pilaf after about 10 minutes. The sirloin was topping the pilaf, and the bottom of the pilaf was crispy like burnt rice thanks to the hot plate! The garlic flavor also whets the appetite. In terms of a family restaurant, the taste was satisfactory, and the service was good. However, one thing that bothered me was the discrepancy between the menu photo and the actual dish. When I sat down, they provided me with a hot towel, just like at Royal Host. Looking at the menu, I noticed many dishes similar to what I had at Royal Host recently. This time, with the 1,000 yen discount coupon, I decided to splurge and enjoy the Isetan version of Royal Host. I ordered the Angus Sirloin Steak & Grilled Lobster. The dishes were served in the same style as Royal Host, and although the prices were higher, dining at Isetan Shinjuku gave me a unique feeling. The taste was delicious, just like at Royal Host. It was a great experience as I didn't have to pay with cash, using the coupon and Isetan points instead.
