The selection of souvenirs for domestic flights was quite extensive, but the lineup of sweets for international flights is also amazing. - Chocolate Yatsuhashi: It's not the typical soft Yatsuhashi, but a crunchy version made from the same ingredients. It's easy to snack on and the can design makes it a perfect souvenir. - Kyoto Ichigo Chocola: A soft daifuku with chocolate inside. It was well received as a souvenir. - Tokyo Rich Sand: This is a fragrant sandwich that you just can't stop eating.

The building is divided into two parts, one is the Era Museum and the other is something else Museum. I'm not sure what's the difference, but it's basically a souvenir shop. If you're looking to buy souvenirs for international flights, this is the place to go. They also sell a pastry called "Bern" here, which is a crispy mille-feuille pastry coated with chocolate and filled with cream. It's delicious and worth trying.

After finishing the February trip to Hong Kong, I returned to Haneda. The timing with the limousine bus was bad again, so I went to the souvenir shop in the international building to pass the time. Normally, this is where you buy souvenirs before departure, so it gathers Japanese items and popular items in Japan. I can't buy souvenirs for my home after returning from overseas. I observed carefully from end to end. After all, the purpose is to kill time. What caught my eye was Kyoto's Nama Yatsuhashi. I had just seen the original Yatsuhashi story in Kyoto on TV, so I wanted to try the later-invented Nama Yatsuhashi. I bought it thinking it was a bit too good to be true. Hmm. I tried it, but I didn't feel the excitement of the delicious Nama Yatsuhashi I remembered. In the world, more and more delicious things are being created, so maybe this kind of taste is no good. The most disappointing thing was the skin. Not delicious. It's a problem. Well, it's not an expensive confectionery, so it's okay. So, how about it? Tradition is important, but the history of improving the original Yatsuhashi, which was hard and very difficult to eat, to create an easier-to-eat Yatsuhashi, and further evolving it into Nama Yatsuhashi. Various taste variations have been created, but why not fundamentally improve the skin to make it the most attractive skin in the country? Let's take it a step further and create an innovative Yatsuhashi that will remain the top runner for another 50 years without saying a word. (#5320)

Wandering around Haneda International Airport Passenger Terminal. There is a souvenir shop on the 4th floor in the Nakakoji alley. There are the Jidai-kan and Meisan-kan shops. At the Jidai-kan, impulsively bought some "Kaminari Okoshi" (Thunder Rice Cracker). The packaging with the thunder god caught my eye. It cost 1,080 yen (tax included) for a 225g pack. The thunder god on the lid seemed to be glaring at me. I decided to use it as a small item holder on my desk. By the way, I'm not a fan of thunder rice crackers. What should I do? I remember a long time ago when there was a social issue about children throwing away snacks with baseball player cards as bonuses just to complete their card collection. I can't help but think of doing something bad... When I got home, I decided to let my wife try it. She said it was delicious. I gave in and tried it too, and oh, it's tasty. The size of this rice cracker is just right. It's individually wrapped in a size that's about one-third of the traditional size. The size of food is indeed an important factor in determining its taste. Upon closer inspection, there are white sugar and brown sugar versions. I prefer white sugar, while my wife prefers brown sugar, so we were able to share them well. Thanks for the meal. I'm in the middle of reflecting on my momentary lapse in thinking something bad.

Haneda Airport has many shops, making it enjoyable to take a stroll. Here on the 4th floor of the international terminal building, there is Edo Komichi, where a variety of specialty products from across Japan are available. The concept is to offer a selection of traditional Japanese and Western sweets representing Japan from the Edo period to the present day, promoting the country's culinary culture. Nowadays, be cautious when buying drinks, especially alcohol, as liquids over 100ml are restricted when entering the boarding gate. You must either pack them in your luggage or drink them at the security checkpoint. Be careful not to get caught off guard. If you see someone looking around nervously, it might be me. (smile)
