I visited a restaurant recommended by a popular reviewer, Hiosakura, after reading their post. I transferred between the subway and the Toden Arakawa Line to get there. They offer a choice of fish or meat set meals, with the rare option of black sea bream sashimi set meal for 850 yen, with free extra servings and a complimentary drink. On rainy days, it is discounted to 800 yen. The meal was so generous that it couldn't fit on one tray, with a variety of side dishes alongside the black sea bream sashimi and rice. The winter black sea bream, known as "cold chub," was delicious with no fishy smell and a nice fatty texture. I enjoyed it with a mushroom omelette with ketchup, yakisoba, simmered bamboo shoots and wheat gluten, seaweed salad, lotus root, bean sprouts, cabbage salad, grilled yam, and plenty of vegetables. I topped the potato salad with a bit of soy sauce and enjoyed it on the rice. The landlady even served homemade pickles and a clear soup for a refreshing end to the meal. I finished with a melon soda, feeling completely satisfied. To my surprise, they even gave me complimentary snacks as a parting gift when I paid the bill. Overall, it was a delicious and fulfilling dining experience.

Today's lunch was at a delicious restaurant in Adachi Ward that was featured on TV. I visited because I was nearby for work. I arrived at 11:20 and had to wait until the opening time at 11:30. The restaurant seemed busy after being on TV, with various rules posted. I was the first in line, but by the time the doors opened, there were only 4 lunch sets left. It seems like regular customers had reserved in advance. I ordered the B set for 850 yen, which was a beef dish. Today's A set was salmon sauté, and the B set was beef and tofu rice bowl, miso soup, side dish, and a drink all included for this price, which is very reasonable. I chose oolong tea for my drink, which came in a tall glass with a good amount, perfect for a hot day. The food arrived in about 10 minutes. The main dish had a generous portion, and the variety of side dishes was impressive. The beef and tofu rice bowl was huge, with a whole block of tofu and plenty of meat. The sides were all delicious, and I ended up finishing all the rice. It was a satisfying lunch. The owner was friendly, and his hospitality was great. He even offered me a refill of oolong tea and a snack before I left. It was not just about the quantity but also the hospitality that made this restaurant a great place to eat. The tasty beef and tofu rice bowl lunch was excellent. Thank you for the meal!

2023 Tokyo Food Battle Edition Part 1 "Delicious Restaurants" featured on the show... Unlimited Jumbo Omelette Rice for 600 yen at "Teppan" 1.8kg piled high Champon noodles for 450 yen at "Chinese Cuisine Yamato" Fluffy Omelette Curry for 450 yen at "Cafe Kei" Set meal with plenty of volume for 650 yen at "Koguma no Pooh" Giant Omelette Rice at "Himawari" "Sandaima Kimuraya" "Izakaya Yattoru?" "Dining Upper" And the 9th restaurant is "Oyatsu-ya Hyouzakura" (Tokyo, Ougi Ohashi) The lunch set is 850 yen with A seafood option and B meat option, comes with a drink I ordered the B meat option for 850 yen Pork sauté, rice, overflowing with side dishes This restaurant is similar to "Koguma no Pooh" in terms of the amount of rice, it was a mountain of rice At first, I thought it was an omelette or egg roll from the top, but it turned out to be a crepe Even a bonus snack of crepe The amount of rice was so much that it was quite a volume In terms of impact, it was not as impressive as the huge set meal for 580 yen at "500 Yen Shop Number 1" from last December, but considering the price, it was worth it.

For today's lunch, I visited my favorite restaurant "Takesaku" located near Ogi Ohashi. I chose the 850 yen lunch option with "Tuna medium fatty & Butsu". Since it's January 7th, I could choose between regular rice and Nanakusa Gayu. So, I decided to go with "Nanakusa Gayu!" and the owner kindly asked, "Both?" which was a pleasant surprise. When asked about the rice portion, I opted for the regular size. The meal came with a total of 12 dishes including miso soup. The Nanakusa Gayu had a good mix of 7 different herbs, and the rice portion was generous even for the regular size. Each dish had a unique flavor that complemented the ingredients well. The food was incredibly delicious! I didn't feel heavy after finishing the meal, and I even regretted not getting the large rice portion. The rice portion and drink refills were free, and receiving a snack at the end of the meal was a nice touch!

Today's lunch was at "Oyatsu-ya Takesaku" in Adachi-ku, Ogi. I had been wanting to come here for a while, and my wish finally came true with my first visit. The lunch set (850 yen) allows you to choose between seafood or meat, and today I chose Mapo Eggplant. When asked about the rice portion, I confidently said "extra large!" They warned me that it would be a lot, but I said I could handle it. When the tray arrived, the amount of rice was seriously huge. But what was even more impressive was the variety of side dishes! Mapo Eggplant, boiled spinach, hamburger, dried daikon radish, seaweed vinegar, egg and cabbage salad, shiitake mushrooms with chili oil and garlic, cucumber and eggplant pickles, miso soup with daikon and fried tofu, yogurt, and the huge portion of rice. Excluding the rice, there were 10 items! Oh, and you also get a drink. The seasoning of each dish was not uniform, tailored to suit each dish and ingredient, so you won't get tired of the flavors. Each dish was carefully prepared with love and attention. Maybe it's because it's new rice, but the rice was also delicious! I was so satisfied with all the side dishes that I wished I had more of the huge portion of rice. When it came time to pay, they gave me a Black Thunder and Sakuma-style drops. Oh, maybe because they used to be a candy store. I appreciate these small gestures of kindness. At night, only families are allowed to dine here as they want families to feel comfortable, but men are welcome for lunch, so I will definitely visit again. So far, this is my favorite restaurant I've discovered this year!

I often use this place for lunch. The daily special offers a choice between fish or meat for the main dish, and on this day, the fish was tuna sashimi and the meat was tonkatsu. I chose the fish. The meal comes with rice, miso soup, several side dishes, and salad, all for 850 yen which is a great deal. If you don't specify, they will give you a large portion of rice, so it's better to ask for a smaller amount. Even with a smaller portion, I always leave feeling full. If you accidentally ask for a large portion of rice, they will serve you a huge amount, so be careful. When I visit at night, the young landlady draws caricatures on the labels of the alcohol bottles, making the atmosphere lively. This restaurant is loved by the locals and has a great service spirit.
