Having a meal a la carte and drinking moderately, the total bill for 4 people was 14,000 yen. It's unbelievably cheap. Whenever I go to Oji or Hamamatsucho, I always make sure to stop by a reflexology shop. Probably the most painful foot reflexology massage in the world. On the way from Daimon subway station to that shop, there is always a signboard that says "Hiroshima Okonomiyaki - My House" at the entrance of a narrow alley. And a very obvious Carp (Hiroshima Toyo Carp baseball team) illustration. By the way, Oji has zero interest in baseball, let alone being a Carp fan. But once he goes to such a shop, he ends up trying to get excited by talking about Carp with the staff, which can be annoying for them. On this particular day, after a meeting with friends nearby, we felt like having some flour-based dishes, so we decided to enter the shop. We started with a refreshing Setouchi Lemon Sour for a toast. The bitterness of the lemon flavor stimulates the stomach. To start off, we had chilled cucumbers with tomatoes. This is what Japanese summer is all about. It feels like something you want to nibble on while watching a night game on TV. Well, Oji has absolutely no interest in baseball. Since all the items on the menu were ridiculously cheap, we kept ordering one dish after another. Okonomiyaki-style yakisoba, hormone mix, pork kimchi, negiyaki, and soy sauce yakisoba noodles. Eating these kinds of dishes with friends is always great, right? We drank, chatted, ate, and talked a lot. And the total bill for 4 people was 14,000 yen. The place is located in Minato-ku, Hamamatsucho, but is it really okay? I was really impressed by the management efforts. It's easy to enter and has a nice atmosphere, so I will definitely visit again when I'm in Hamamatsucho! On the way back to Daimon station, I came across a signboard of a gym (photo included). And there was this copy on it: "The best workout is turning down a drinking party." Oh, why didn't you tell me that sooner?
