Business Trip Report "One Night in Fukuoka - Tough Work Tour"
I arrived at Haneda Airport early in the morning after walking my dog and headed straight to Fukuoka Airport. Upon arrival, I went directly to the branch office in Tenjin and then to the customer's location. This meant I needed to have lunch on the plane. In such a situation, a regular reviewer would probably buy a boxed meal at the ANA shop. However, due to my frequent business trips and outings, I am really short on money. So, I opted for convenience store food! Enter Air Lawson. This is not a fictional story like "Air Guitar" or "Air Girlfriend," but an actual Lawson convenience store located at the airport.
I purchased food that was portable and didn't have a strong smell, as I would be eating it on the plane. I decided not to buy any drinks until after passing through security. Once on the plane, I noticed a sign for "Please Give Up Your Seat" that has been making headlines recently. It was my first time seeing it.
I bought an onigiri and a sandwich. The sandwich for 268 yen had the most generous fillings among the three major convenience store chains. While FamilyMart and 7-Eleven offer ham lettuce, egg, and tuna sandwiches, Lawson's sandwich included ham cabbage, potato salad, sliced egg, egg mayo, and ham cutlet. The onigiri was a healthy option from Lawson, made with Awaodori chicken and five-grain rice for 140 yen, which was as delicious as a station bento. The sticky rice with edamame and salted kelp for 125 yen had a great texture and a sense of luxury.
About 30 minutes before landing at Fukuoka Airport, the plane began its descent. I was eating frantically, and the flight attendant gently offered, "Would you like a drink?" I was embarrassed and replied, "N-no, it's okay!?" Please don't laugh. I'm serious too. It was delicious. As soon as I turned on my phone upon arrival at the airport, I saw a lot of missed calls. I quickly called back and informed the Fukuoka branch that I had arrived. They responded, "Oh, the client meeting has been rescheduled to 3 p.m. Take your time and have lunch." Demon.
That was the start of my first day on the business trip.
