On July 13, 2023, after having lunch at Hatsugen Shinbashi, I walked to Onarimon. I took a break here after eating. I entered at 2:15 pm and there were about 10 customers already. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. I ordered deep-steamed green tea, six tea leaves, and cold tea for 800 yen. I sat at a table in the space on the right side of the store. The food was served in about 5 minutes. I was happy to see sweets included. The cold tea had a nice sweetness to it. I was satisfied and full. Thank you for the meal.

Restaurant located in a hotel. The atmosphere is calming, with a cafe-like setting. They offer about 3 lunch options at all times, which are generally healthy. The portions are more suitable for women, with the main dish being a chicken bowl with plum and bonito flakes. The salad comes with a bit of taro salad on top, which is delicious. It also includes a small side of pickled komatsuna (Japanese mustard spinach). The miso soup seemed a bit on the salty side.

I bought a matcha cream soda with green tea and carbonated juice with ice cream on top. I was able to eat the ice cream, but the drink itself was not as good as I expected. I prefer Ito En's green juice. It seems like some adjustments, like adding a bit of sweetness, are needed.

This was my first visit. I arrived around 3:30 PM on a Saturday. The cafe is located in a calm area, so it was relatively empty and I was able to relax. It's a hidden gem. The spacious interior with large windows is bright and clean. There are counter seats and table seats. The cafe is equipped with power outlets and USB ports, which is convenient. I ordered a new tea latte and got a refill of green tea and hojicha bread with red bean paste and butter. The new tea latte is made with deep-steamed tea, but the tea flavor was a bit weak, with a slight bitterness and mostly tasting like cold milk, so the balance was a bit off. The green tea was Benifuki, which had a good balance of bitterness and umami, quite tasty. The hojicha bread with red bean paste and butter was a bit dry, but not bad. The total cost of my order (including tax) was: - Deep-steamed new tea latte (cold) 600 yen - Benifuki green tea (hot) 700 yen (50% off for the second cup, so -350 yen) - Hojicha bread with red bean paste and butter 380 yen (-100 yen for pastries after 5:30 PM) Paid with iD.

Located in a quiet area near Onarimon, this hidden gem of a matcha sweets shop offers things like rich matcha soft serve ice cream, customizable matcha lattes, and sweet red bean butter bread. It feels like a little taste of Kyoto. I also bought some matcha and hojicha rice flour cakes as souvenirs to enjoy tea sweets at home.

This is a Japanese tea specialty cafe located inside a hotel in Shinbashi. The interior of the cafe has a spacious and calm atmosphere with only table seating available. I tried the Matcha Bread with Sweet Bean Paste and Butter for 380 yen, along with today's tea for 400 yen, which was Yame tea. The bread was fluffy with a refined matcha flavor, and it was filled with sweet bean paste and butter. The cafe also offers a variety of drinks like sencha and tea-based sweets like cakes and parfaits, as well as meal options like curry and sausages. It's a beautiful and quiet space where you can relax and enjoy a leisurely tea time.

Matcha parfait for 1400 yen. Hot coffee for 500 yen. The whipped cream is rich, and the matcha ice cream underneath is thick and delicious. It includes sweet red bean paste, chewy black beans, chestnuts, white dumplings, rice puffs, rice crackers, and crumble for a variety of textures and flavors. The raspberry sauce is well-balanced, and at the bottom is a rich matcha pudding. This parfait shows that the creator understands the eater's preferences well.

During lunch, I ordered a matcha latte at the cafe. They offered matcha with a concentration level ranging from 3 to 8. The price for a concentration level of 4 or below was 600 yen, so I decided to try it out. Even without sugar, it was easy to drink and delicious. I might come back for more! The price increases by 50 yen for a concentration level of 5.

Breakfast buffet for 1700 yen. The buffet was back open. Occasionally there are onigiri, but the main items are 4 types of bread (matcha, rustic, soy milk, croissant). Also available are several deli items, soup, fruits, yogurt, and salad. The deli items change slightly daily. There are various tea options, but the drip coffee is also quite good.

On the first floor of Hotel 1899, there is a cafe restaurant. Just like the hotel itself, which is themed around tea, this cafe offers many menu items featuring tea, such as matcha beer, matcha bread, and various types of tea like matcha, sencha, and black tea. Of course, they also have regular coffee available. During my visit, I ordered a matcha latte with a choice of matcha intensity in grams. This allows those who don't like the bitterness of matcha to select a milder option.

After enjoying "The Curry" and feeling a lingering spiciness, I had some time to spare and decided to explore the nearby cafes. I found a Japanese-style cafe on the first floor of Hotel 1899 Tokyo on Akarenga Street. The exterior of the hotel looked nice. The first floor housed a Japanese tea specialty shop with a cafe, creating a calm and sophisticated atmosphere. At that moment, I was craving something sweet to balance out the spiciness, so I quickly decided on gelato. I was also tempted by the "Aomori pudding," but unfortunately, I couldn't order it at that time. I opted for the Chestnut Milk Gelato with a chocolate-flavored cone, priced at 380 yen. The Chestnut Milk Gelato was a seasonal flavor with milk base and chestnut pieces, offering a gentle and mildly sweet taste. The milk base perfectly neutralized the spiciness on my palate. It was delicious! The cafe also serves Japanese-style curry and sausage lunch, which caught my interest as a sausage lover. There seem to be plenty of enjoyable dining options in the Onarimon area.

I stopped by a stylish and beautiful café on the first floor of a new hotel to pass the time before lunch. It's actually a tea shop, so I decided to skip the sweets since they serve lunch here. I ordered today's iced green tea and a brownie made with rice flour and mixed nuts. The iced tea was light and refreshing, easy to drink. I'll save the brownie to enjoy at home. It was a nice break, feeling refreshed.

Just got back from a workshop at Narabi no Ushima Coffee Shop. I love coffee, but I also enjoy green tea. They now offer a drink-all-you-can menu for three types of cold tea: Sayama tea, Japanese black tea, and a lemongrass-flavored tea. The lunch menu remains the same, with a slightly spicy keema curry with a rich broth. It's still a hidden gem of a restaurant.

I had some time and a little errand nearby, so I decided to stop by. The interior of the shop was spacious with high ceilings, giving a sense of openness. You order first and then wait at your table. I ordered the following:
- Today's tea (iced) for 400 yen (tax included)
Today's tea was called "Asatsuyu." It was a typical green tea with a familiar taste. I enjoyed my time relaxing in the open atmosphere of the shop. Thank you for the meal.

First Visit 202206 (No.3724) On the day, I had plans to have lunch at a nearby restaurant, but upon arriving 10 minutes after opening, there was a line of over 10 people. However, I couldn't just walk away empty-handed, so I decided to visit this cafe nearby instead (●´ω`●). This cafe is located on the 1st floor of "Hotel 1899 Tokyo," which was opened in 2018 with the desire to introduce a lifestyle with tea to many people from around the world. As expected, the menu is filled with tea-related items, so I quickly ordered the following: Tea Parfait - 1,400 yen A parfait with homemade matcha pudding, strawberry sauce, chestnuts, black beans, white dumplings, sweet red bean paste, candied walnuts simmered in strong tea and black honey, thick tea ice cream, and ground tea sherbet. It's a well-balanced and delicious parfait with a subtle sweetness, recommended for tea lovers. Thank you for the meal.

At the Deli Space where everyone can spend their time in their own style, you can enjoy a new Japanese dining experience of "eating tea" in a space like an open veranda full of openness. The lifestyle hotel "Hotel 1899 Tokyo" with the concept of "tea" offers a "relaxed time" away from the daily hustle and bustle along with tea. The address is 6-4-1 Shinbashi, Minato-ku, Tokyo, on the 1st floor of Hotel 1899 Tokyo. The ordered items are:
- Japanese Black Tea Latte (Cold) ¥500: "Japanese black tea" refers to black tea made from tea leaves picked in Japan. Japanese black tea has antiviral properties, making it perfect for this season. Our Japanese black tea is a blend of "Yabukita" with a rich sweetness and "Sayamakaori" with a faint floral aroma and refreshing aftertaste in exquisite proportions. The gentle floral scent floats gently, enhancing the sweetness of Japanese black tea. The mild astringency of Japanese black tea tightens the aftertaste, making it a great match with sweet desserts.
- 1899 Original Matcha Bread with Strawberry Milk ¥430: The first thing that catches your eye is the beautiful matcha color and distinctive shape! We use matcha paste instead of powder for easy mixing and color development. The rich milk cream and fresh strawberries are perfect together.

After lunch, I stumbled upon a new cafe while walking and decided to stop by. It was located on the first floor of a hotel, and had a bright and spacious layout. This time, I purchased a hojicha (iced) for 600 yen. They brew it from scratch after you order, so it takes a little bit of time. The taste was delicious, and I'm happy because there are few Japanese tea specialty stores around. However, it is not conveniently located from any station, so I may only visit again by chance when passing by.

I was drawn to the cafe on the first floor of the hotel by the matcha-related food and sweets. I went during lunchtime, but the only rice dish available was Keema Curry, so I ordered matcha bread, fried chicken, and green tea. The matcha bread, although small, was delicious with a simple taste, priced at 300 yen for plain and 380 yen for red bean butter. The fried chicken was cheap at 300 yen and was a good portion for a light meal. The warm Yabukita tea I had after the meal was very delicious, priced at 650 yen, but I was very satisfied. I was able to enjoy the difference in taste by receiving enough hot water for about 3 cups in the teapot. The rich aroma, sharp astringency, and sweet aftertaste of the first cup were very delicious. I would like to go back to enjoy the green tea, which changes depending on the season.

Taste: ◎ Atmosphere: ◎ Crowdedness: ◎ Cafe I want to visit again ♡
This cafe, located about a 10-15 minute walk from Shinbashi, is attached to a hotel. The theme here is tea, so I chose the matcha latte where you can choose the strength. It had a nice balance of matcha bitterness and a refreshing taste, very delicious. The brownie dessert had lots of walnuts, which I loved ♡ And the best part is that for the second drink, you get it at half price! The original drinks are around 600-800 yen. I always feel like one cup is not enough for a girls' cafe time, so I would love to see more places like this with such offers. For my second drink, I had the seasonal sakura yuzu latte. It was perfect in sweetness when served iced. Since seasonal items change, I would like to visit again. I visited around 2 pm on a weekday and it was quiet with only a few groups around. It's a recommended cafe, even though it's a bit away from the station. ♡

The 2nd store of 1899 in Ochanomizu is currently holding a winter strawberry Japanese tea fair. Last year, I tried the matcha and strawberry winter color parfait at Ochanomizu 1899, and this time I was curious about the matcha bread at Onarimon, so I went. I arrived just before 4:30 pm on a weekday, right before the last order, and there were already two groups of customers. The staff started cleaning up, and I felt bad for making them wait, so the atmosphere wasn't very comfortable. I ordered the strawberry milk matcha bread (430 yen), the red bean butter matcha bread (380 yen), and a thick tea latte with 3g of matcha (600 yen). The matcha bread was soft and had a subtle aroma of matcha. The red bean paste and butter were generously sandwiched inside, giving it a satisfying texture. The cute matcha bread with a strawberry on top was delightful. The milk cream had the perfect sweetness to enhance the flavors of the strawberry and matcha. The strawberry was not too sour and was deliciously sweet. This store has a dedicated Japanese tea professional called "Tea Valier" who prepares the matcha using a tea whisk after receiving the order. You can choose the amount of matcha from 3g to 6g in 1g increments, allowing you to enjoy your own "My Matcha Latte." I ordered a 3g matcha latte, so the bitterness of the matcha was mild, making it light and refreshing.
