I used my lunch break at work to stop by for some ramen. I was in the mood for a hearty meal and decided to try a family-style ramen shop. I don't usually eat this type of ramen, but the fact that it came with free rice was a big plus. The noodles were thicker than other family-style ramen shops, so I ended up feeling really full. I think next time I'll try a different restaurant.

Tonkotsu ramen for 760 yen, medium-sized draft beer for 350 yen. The straight thick noodles are rectangular in shape, cooked perfectly. The creamy tonkotsu soy sauce soup is tasty, but lacks the roughness typically found in traditional ramen shops. Central Kitchen is not bad, but the flavors tend to be similar across similar shops, making it less impressive. Toppings include spinach, green onions, seaweed, and well-seasoned chashu. The all-you-can-eat rice is of decent quality. The draft beer is served in a Sapporo mug, but the contents are actually from Malt's, which is understandable given the low price. Overall, the revisit value is questionable.

Visited on Sunday, 12/25 - Soy sauce flavored ramen for ¥860 - Rice is free. I wandered around Hachioji area for lunch on a holiday and decided to try a family-owned shop that caught my eye. Ordered with firm noodles, strong flavor, and regular oil. The food was served promptly. The soy sauce pork bone soup typical of family-owned shops was delicious. The spinach soaked in the soup was also excellent. I like the firm noodles because they have a good bite to them! The self-serve rice was on the softer side, which I also liked. Eating the rice wrapped in seaweed with the soup was great. It was delicious, I will definitely come back. Thank you for the meal.

Ordered soy sauce ramen (760 yen). It has a homey feel to it. It was delicious in a normal way. Rice was free, and for this price, the taste was good. It was a pork bone soy sauce broth, with a strong salty taste of soy sauce. The noodles were ordered firm, and they were so strong that they couldn't be picked up with chopsticks. But it was just right. The chashu had a slight odor and was a bit tough. The timing was off, but the firm rice was delicious. Thank you for the meal. Thank you very much.

Date and Time of Visit: Wednesday, around 6:00 PM Reservation: Not required Waiting time: None Number of people: 1 Seating: Counter Frequency of visit: First time Duration of stay: 20 minutes Payment: Cash Food Menu: - Shoyu Tonkotsu Ramen SP ¥910 (tax included) Good Points: - Rich and creamy soup with a thick texture Bad Points: - Chashu pork has a lot of fat Other notes: - Self-service for unlimited rice Overall Impression: This visit took place in the "Ghost Edition of Tachikawa, Hino, and Hachioji area." I had plans for yakitori afterwards, so I decided to grab a bite to eat first. Despite hesitating due to the unassuming exterior, I finally made my first visit to Oujika. It's located very close to Hachioji Don Quijote. I purchased a ticket at the entrance and ordered the Shoyu Tonkotsu Ramen SP. The ramen had the typical firmness, richness, and oiliness of a house-style ramen. Rice was also available for free, but I resisted as I had plans afterwards. There were 8 counter seats along the wall, as well as counter tables with partitions for each pair of seats. All customers were dining alone. The upbeat instrumental BGM added to the pleasant atmosphere. The staff, consisting of 3 people, were energetic and welcoming. The lemon water served as the complimentary drink was refreshing. The ramen arrived promptly, and the rich and creamy soup was delicious, with a nice sweetness from the back fat. The saltiness was within acceptable levels. The medium-thick noodles were not too chewy, more on the firmer side. The chashu pork consisted of 2 slices of belly roll, which was a bit fatty. The spinach complemented the rich soup well. There were 5 sheets of seaweed and the seasoned egg was more on the firm side rather than runny, which I preferred. In the end, I ended up finishing almost all of the soup. Overall, the ramen was tastier than expected based on the exterior impression. Now, it's time to head to the main yakitori restaurant. Enjoyed the meal!

This is a ramen restaurant located a few minutes' walk from Hachioji Station. They are open from lunchtime until late at night, so I often stop by after shopping, after work, or during work breaks. This time, I ordered the spicy miso ramen! The inside of the restaurant is quite clean, so there are also female customers here and there. The miso ramen is indeed spicy with a strong punch in the soup, and it goes really well with the spinach, green onions, and chashu, not just the noodles... But I personally recommend the soy sauce ramen! I have used this place many times, so I tried something different this time, but the soy sauce ramen is definitely the classic choice! I will come back again!

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening. Yesterday, I only had pasta and pizza for lunch and couldn't eat anything until 1 am. I was in Hachioji. It's in Tokyo, you know? It's not within the 23 wards, but it's a well-known area. I first headed to Ippatsu near the hotel, but it was closed earlier than the time listed on Tabelog. Maybe due to COVID or something. Anyway, I was hungry, so I crossed the tracks and wandered towards Hachioji Station. I wanted to find something near Don Quijote, but most places were closed, and I was getting caught by touts, so I gave up. That's when I found Oujika. There were no other options, so I went in. It's a convenient shop where you can choose from several flavors of ramen. I chose the spinach soy sauce ramen for 840 yen, with a topping of seaweed for 100 yen. I kept the flavors as they were. The best part is that you can have unlimited rice at any time. Self-service, you know. The chashu seemed like a pre-made product, but the soup and noodles were surprisingly good. They wouldn't serve low-quality food in such a prime location, right? They've been around for about 7 years, so they must have their reasons. I'll definitely come back here if I'm in a pinch!

I used it during my work break. It's a ramen shop located a short walk from Hachioji Station. It seems to be affiliated with the common family ramen shop in front. You purchase a meal ticket at the ticket machine at the entrance, hand it to the staff, and communicate your desired flavor intensity, oiliness, and noodle firmness. This time, I ordered the safe soy sauce-flavored tonkotsu ramen with firm noodles. It was served quickly, perhaps because it wasn't too crowded. The tonkotsu soy sauce ramen came with 5 sheets of seaweed, 1 egg, 2 slices of chashu, and spinach on top. The volume was substantial, providing a satisfying amount. The tender chashu and the spinach soaked in the slightly intense tonkotsu soy sauce soup were delicious! I felt like having rice, but I resisted the urge. My stomach was filled well, and I was satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

I used this ramen restaurant after a meeting. It's a typical house-style ramen place that you often see in Tokyo. The menu had so many options that I had a hard time deciding, but I ended up ordering the Tonkotsu Special with extra rich flavor, extra oil, and firm noodles. I arrived after the lunch rush, so the place was quiet with few customers. This may have been why my order came out so quickly. The soup was rich and flavorful, with plenty of oil. I know it's not the healthiest choice, but it was just too delicious to resist. The toppings like seaweed, egg, chashu, and spinach were perfect with the soup. The thick noodles had a nice firm texture. I finished my meal feeling satisfied but not overly full. And all of this for less than 1000 yen, which was a relief. Itadakimasu!

Soy sauce pork bone ramen for 710 yen. When asked about preferences, I said normal. It's a nice place where rice is free, but this time it's just a snack before dinner, so I have to hold back. The restaurant is spacious, but I don't like customers wandering around the rice bar. All the staff are Chinese, so the music playing is pop from over there. The two people who came before me seemed to arrive at the same time. There is no smell of seaweed. The chashu is delicious. The noodles are firm, almost hard. The soup is rich, but lacks depth, it becomes boring. The saltiness is a bit strong. I end up drinking the water on the table because of the saltiness. There's lemon in it, which makes it refreshing. However, if you drink it in the middle, the taste of the soup changes. I also want regular water. I'm starting to feel uncomfortable because of the saltiness. It's tough to hear that rice is included in the house style ramen, as it assumes the soup is delicious. It's not that great. The restaurant was somehow unsettling.

It's been a while since I had ramen from this place. I ordered the soy sauce pork bone ramen, which costs 710 yen including tax. It was ready in about 5 minutes. The noodles are thick with a normal firmness, but they have a good chewiness. It comes with 3 sheets of seaweed and chashu. Rice is self-service and all-you-can-eat. The soup is mild with no strong flavors, but I personally think it's a bit lacking in richness to pour over rice. I'll skip the rice. Overall, the noodles were tasty.

This is a recommended ramen restaurant where children can come with their friends. It is easy to enter, with a counter along the wall and several table seats. There is a corner in the center of the restaurant where you can get free rice. The restaurant has a simple and homey ramen style. It was delicious.

Today, I went on a late-night ramen tour with 3 work colleagues. We headed to Hachioji Station to eat some ramen. Unfortunately, the ramen shop we wanted to go to was closed, so we decided to go to Oojiya instead. Since I had ramen last time, I ordered the tsukemen for 800 yen. I noticed that gyoza was only 210 yen, so I ordered that as well. Everyone else ordered ramen. After waiting for about 10 minutes, the tsukemen arrived, followed by the gyoza. I dipped the noodles in the broth and started eating. Surprisingly, it was delicious! The rich broth had flavors of pork bone, seafood, and yuzu, which was really good. The noodles were chewy and tasty. However, the chashu and bamboo shoots were just okay. The gyoza was not bad but not great either. I also received a complimentary bowl of rice, which I ate with the gyoza. Overall, we had a great time enjoying the unexpectedly delicious food. I will definitely go back if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal!

I invited my junior colleague to a late-night ramen tour at the workplace. I wanted to try a tonkotsu ramen, so we went to Ojiya for the first time. They are open until 4 am every day, which is convenient for my irregular work schedule. Surprisingly, even on a Sunday night, there were quite a few customers. It's a popular spot! I ordered the shoyu tonkotsu chashu ramen for 970 yen from the ticket machine on the right as soon as we entered. They offer free rice all day, which is a nice service. We sat at a table for two and a female staff member came to take our order. I requested the noodles to be firm, the flavor and oil level to be normal. The staff seemed to be of Chinese descent, which made me a bit worried about a Chinese-style ramen shop. After waiting for about 7-8 minutes, our ramen arrived with 4 slices of chashu, 3 sheets of seaweed, and some spinach neatly arranged. I tasted the soup first and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. The noodles were cooked just the way I like them. However, when I tried the chashu, it was cold! So I dipped it in the soup to warm it up. The taste was still good. Since rice goes well with tonkotsu soup, I tried the complimentary rice, but it was dry and hard. I soaked it in the soup before eating. Despite these minor issues, I finished everything and it was a satisfying meal. If I have the chance, I would visit Ojiya again.

I visited the restaurant around 16:50 on a holiday in January 2020. There were three groups of customers before me. I bought a ticket for "Miso Ramen" and sat at the counter seat by the wall. When asked for my preference, I requested the noodles to be firm. It was served in about 6 minutes. The Miso Ramen had a rich pork bone-based soup with a strong flavor. It was flavorful enough without adding extra seasoning. It was delicious. I later realized that rice was complimentary, although I didn't see any notice in the restaurant and the staff didn't mention it either. It might be good for a light meal, but if I wanted to eat heartily, it would have been a nice bonus to know.

Hi~. I left home at 11:00 PM and headed to Nagano Prefecture this time for a "Dad and Daughter Only" plan with my daughter①! This plan started by chance and we have already done it 5 times! Last time, we went to Niigata to see the snow, and this time, we are camping in the village of Achi, known for having the best starry sky in Japan! We were a bit worried about the typhoon, but luckily it disappeared. So, off we go! Along the way, we stopped for some ramen at a place called "Oujiya". The place was not bad, with a decent soup and noodles, although the toppings were a bit lacking. Overall, it was an okay experience.

Today, I had work in Hachioji, which I do regularly. Actually, since last month, I have been working regularly in a certain location in Saitama Prefecture, but traveling to different places has made me appreciate the goodness of Hachioji. During my lunch break, I felt like having ramen. It had been a while since I last had it. I didn't have a specific place in mind, so I wandered around. Then, a flashy sign caught my eye. This time, I went to Yokohama-style Ramen Oojiya Hachioji Branch. I bought my meal from a ticket machine as soon as I entered and then sat at the counter as instructed. I ordered the Shoyu Ramen for 690 yen with normal oil amount, flavor intensity, and noodle firmness. They also offer free rice all day, so I went to get some from the rice cooker. The quality of the rice wasn't great, but I took a little bit and returned to my seat. After a while, my ramen arrived. It had the typical appearance of Yokohama-style ramen with cloudy white soup, low hydration noodles, seaweed, and spinach. Unfortunately, there was no egg included. I took a sip of the soup, and it had a strong pork bone flavor with a delayed soy sauce aroma. The low hydration noodles were medium-thick straight noodles that didn't mix much with the soup, allowing me to taste the noodles themselves. I occasionally ate the spinach, which added a nice touch. The pork belly chashu was delicious and I wished there was more of it. The seaweed was eaten with the rice, but I wish the rice quality was better. More customers kept coming in, indicating that the ramen shop had a certain level of popularity in the competitive ramen scene of Hachioji. Overall, it was a safe and enjoyable ramen experience. Thank you for the meal. ************************************************************** "Spider-Man: Far From Home" @ TOHO Cinemas Shinjuku The 40th movie I watched this year was the new Spider-Man film. Right from the start, there was a review of "Avengers: Endgame" which set the stage for Spider-Man's position, showing a strong sense of service towards passionate fans. Spider-Man himself has a deep connection to Iron Man, but the enemy's attacks take advantage of that sentiment. At first, it's unclear whether they are allies or enemies, but the story progresses as the setting moves to Europe, featuring many tourist spots, making it quite enjoyable. Towards the end, there was a big twist, leaving me wondering what will happen next. However, I am sure that an interesting sequel will be made. I look forward to it.

We went to "Yokohama Family Ramen Prince-ke" for lunch with my coworkers. It's about a 3-minute walk from Hachioji Station. - Store: The interior has about 20 seats at the counter and tables. It's crowded with office workers. - Menu: They advertise as a family ramen place, but they also have Taiwan ramen and Chinese soba. - I ordered the Soy Sauce Pork Bone with Egg for 810 yen. It arrived in about 5 minutes, which is great for a quick lunch break. The soup is quite salty with chicken oil floating on top. It's thick. The noodles are medium-thick and slightly firm. The chashu has 2 slices of fatty pork belly. The seasoned egg is a bit too firm. I wish it had more flavor. Other toppings included spinach and 5 sheets of seaweed. - Overall: The quick service is convenient for busy office workers during lunchtime. Thank you for the meal.

I think you are someone who eats Yokohama-style ramen quite regularly, and I believe it has a good taste that can be called "Kaikai." I like to roll the nori around the soup and eat it with rice, so I always make sure to get the free rice self-service. When I feel like eating it, I visit the restaurant, but I wish the staff were a bit more friendly.
