Rest time: In accordance with Haneda Airport Terminal 1 (open year-round in principle) Business hours and holidays are subject to change, so please check with the store before visiting.
At Haneda Airport's Domestic Terminal Building 1, on the 2nd floor, there is a shop called "Hokkaido Dosanko Plaza Haneda Airport Store" where I bought a Custard Chiffon Cake made by "Yukatan" from Nishimura Family in Shin-Tomi, Chitose City, Hokkaido. The cake was frozen, so it's recommended to let it sit for a bit before enjoying it. My colleague at work really liked it and said, "This is delicious!" The price was around 240 yen per piece. The Dosanko Plaza at Haneda Airport seems to have opened in June last year, 2021. They also had a variety of Hokkaido snacks and treats, including Jagapokkuru, Yotsubaraku from Asahikawa's Kuradou, Northman from Chitosean, and more. I also tried Hokkaido soft-serve ice cream on a different day, which was available in flavors like Hokkaido Rich Milk, Yubari Melon, and Yubari Melon Mix. The soft-serve ice cream was served in cups or cones and was priced at 400 yen for dine-in and 390 yen for takeout. I tried the Yubari Melon Mix flavor in a cup. Dosanko Plaza also had a dining area upstairs where you could enjoy your treats. The shop opens at 7 am, while the dining area opens at 11 am. You can still use the seating area before 11 am. It's a great place to pick up Hokkaido souvenirs even if you forget to buy them during your trip back home. Overall, a great experience!

Haneda Airport departure lobby is spacious. It consists of the South Wing, North Wing, and Central Plaza, with a total length of about 300 meters. Even after passing through security, there are shops available, but if you want to have a drink with someone seeing you off, your only option is to drink at the shops in this departure lobby. One of these shops is Hokkaido Dosanko Plaza, located in the North Wing towards the center. The first floor is a store selling various Hokkaido specialty products. You can buy beer or bento boxes in the store and enjoy them on the second floor. One thing to note is that although bento boxes are sold from 7 am, the Ikura Donburi and Ruibe Donburi dishes are only available from 11 am. The bento boxes seemed to be the most popular, but they do not live up to the level expected of Hokkaido products. It would be better not to offer them at all, or to increase the price threefold and offer a more outstanding quality. If it were at Haneda Airport, there would surely be people willing to purchase. However, the experience of buying from the store below and enjoying it upstairs is enjoyable, which is why I rated it close to 4 points.

I took the return route via Haneda. While waiting for my flight, I had soft serve ice cream. I bought a food ticket from the vending machine and handed it in. It was selling quickly. I could choose between a cup and a cone. They also had Yubari melon soft serve and a mix. It was smooth and delicious.

When my flight from Haneda Airport was canceled due to bad weather, I had to rebook another flight. I had to retrieve my checked baggage and wait for the new flight confirmation. Since all the shops were crowded, I found a hidden gem on the second floor food court. I bought a drink ticket for Sapporo Black Label and enjoyed a drink. Later, I found a shop selling Hokkaido limited edition Sapporo Classic and bought it along with some salmon snacks. This food court on the second floor is a great place to relax when flights are disrupted due to weather conditions.

This is the official antenna shop for Hokkaido located in the departure lobby of Haneda Airport Terminal 1. I discovered it for the first time when I visited recently, as I haven't been flying much in the past three years due to the pandemic. I stopped by because my flight from Takamatsu was delayed and I didn't feel like cooking dinner at home. Just like the Sky Bento Kobo in Terminal 2, this shop also has a live kitchen by Sato Suisan, but it was already closed as it was past 7 pm. However, there were still some bento boxes available in the Sato Suisan refrigerated case, so I bought the "Sato Suisan Salmon Festival Bento" for myself and the "Louis Herb-marinated Seafood Bento" for my friend. The Salmon Festival Bento included various dishes like marinated natural salmon, soy sauce marinated salmon roe, herb-marinated salmon, shredded salmon, and rice cooked with salmon fish sauce, all of which were of high quality typical of Sato Suisan. It felt like a collaboration of all the members of Sato Suisan. It was a delicious meal and a great accompaniment to sake. My friend also enjoyed their bento. I usually frequented the Daisanko Plaza store in Tokyo Kotsu Kaikan, but the Haneda Airport store is more convenient from my home. I plan to visit here occasionally from now on.

Before departure, I had a Yubari melon mix soft serve ice cream. It was delicious and had a good amount of volume. The second floor had a space where you could sit and eat freely, and since it was morning, there weren't many people so I could eat slowly. The first floor had various local products for sale, all of which looked delicious. I wanted to buy the sauce for the pork bowl that I had bought before, but since it was before my trip, I decided to buy it next time.

Lunch at Haneda Airport was starting to feel a bit repetitive, so I decided to try something new. I found out that there was a restaurant called Sato Suisan where you can dine in and have them make a bowl of salmon roe on the spot, which you can then enjoy on the second floor. I ordered the salmon roe bowl for 1680 yen at the counter on the first floor and waited for it to be ready. After a few minutes, it was done. I initially planned to take it to the second floor to eat, but then I remembered that in the airport lounge, you can have your choice of drinks, so I decided to move to the lounge. Upon opening the bowl in the lounge, I saw that it was filled with plenty of toppings, completely covering the rice. There was no soy sauce provided, so I assumed I was meant to eat it as is. I dug in and found the salmon roe to be large and satisfyingly plump. The texture of the roe was unexpectedly soft and moist, which made me wonder if it had been marinated in something. That's probably why it didn't need soy sauce. The amount of rice was just right in relation to the toppings. Considering all this, I think the price of 1680 yen was quite reasonable. It was a delicious meal, and I'll definitely visit again.

The restaurant review is about a cafe found in the first terminal building of Haneda Airport. The reviewer ordered "imo mochi" (sweet potato mochi) and a haskap soda from the menu. The imo mochi was delicious with a sweet and salty sauce and a piece of butter on top. The cafe had a quiet atmosphere, with a few customers enjoying their food. The reviewer noticed that customers could bring food purchased from the store downstairs to eat at the cafe. The cafe also had Ainu costumes and souvenirs on display, creating a documentary-like atmosphere about Hokkaido. The reviewer mentioned that the chopsticks provided for the imo mochi were not sturdy enough and broke easily. Overall, the reviewer recommended the cafe for those interested in learning more about Hokkaido.

On the second floor, there are eat-in seats. The main attraction is the soft serve ice cream. Purchase a ticket on the first floor, pick it up at the counter next to it, and head up to the second floor. The second floor is a space where Ainu crafts are exhibited and sold, and you can also enjoy fast food versions of Hokkaido's local dishes at table seats while enjoying soft serve ice cream. The soft serve ice cream is rich and smooth, with a refreshing taste that is unique to specialty shops. The cone is also crispy and fragrant, making it a must-have when visiting "Dosanko Plaza". There was also a mix with muscat flavor available. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, it was a healing space where you could freely enjoy the vast land of Hokkaido and deliciousness.

Scallop! I got a cute plate shaped like Hokkaido. It was my first time trying scallop and it was very delicious. I also ordered a haskap soda, which was sweet and sour and delicious. If you like mountain grape soda, you will definitely like the taste! There were many other menu items that caught my eye as well.

Located on the departure lobby floor of Haneda Airport Terminal 1. The first floor mainly sells Hokkaido products. The second floor is a cafe space with craft items as well. I arrived from New Chitose Airport and it was still before noon, so I decided to take a break at the cafe on the second floor. The cafe had just opened, with no customers ahead of me and only two groups behind me. The decorations and electronic scenery surrounding the cafe gave a nice ambiance, inspired by Hokkaido's nature. They also had proper infection prevention measures in place. I ordered the Yubari melon ice cream (500 yen). It was a self-service system, so once it was ready, I had to go pick it up myself. The portion was quite generous for the relatively low price of 500 yen. One downside was that if you have a suitcase, you have to carry it up the stairs, which could be a bit inconvenient. The first floor offers a variety of products for sale. I have visited the first floor shops several times before writing this review, and it seems like even if you put effort into buying souvenirs from Hokkaido, they are also sold here at Haneda Airport, leading to some surprised customers holding souvenir bags. It feels like a savior for those who forgot to buy souvenirs. However, the prices seem slightly higher compared to buying in Hokkaido, especially when I looked at the price of Sapporo Classic beer. For those flying to Hokkaido from Haneda Airport, it might be a good idea to check out what's available for sale before departure if time allows. I might become a heavy user of the first floor shops in the future. Thank you for the meal.

I often go to shops in Ginza, but it's nice that you can buy popular products without going to Hokkaido. This time, I bought Sato Suisan's "Salmon Ikura Pickle 160g ¥1750". I often buy products from Sato Suisan. The ikura inside is not in individual grains but mostly crushed, so you have to search for it. That's how it is. But the taste is certain. The saltiness is good and you can also taste the sweetness of the salmon, so it's reliable.

I had this while waiting for my antigen test. It was the best soft serve ice cream ever, I definitely want to have it again. It made me proud when passersby looked like they wanted to eat it.

The luxurious lineup at Chitose Airport is impressive. Snacking on the plane. The Northman has cool packaging design. The cheese sandwich didn't have a zipper, but it was no problem. It was so delicious that I devoured it in one go. The cheese was rich yet light. There are too many other things I want to eat. Hokkaido's local product exhibition is too charming.
