I wanted to indulge a little with 3 friends and decided to use this restaurant!! The atmosphere inside was calm and it seemed like a very relaxing space to enjoy a meal. The staff also provided detailed explanations of the dishes, which was much appreciated. All 3 of us ordered the course menu!! It was nice to be able to enjoy crab prepared in various ways like sashimi and grilled dishes. From the appetizers to the dessert, the amount of food was satisfying and we left very full!! The crab shabu-shabu, in particular, was the most delicious and had a generous portion!! I would like to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I suddenly felt like eating crab and went to Kanidouraku. I came here with my family when I was a child. I ordered the limited edition Tarabagani course, which included Tarabagani from Shakotan. I tried Tarabagani sashimi for the first time and it had a refreshing taste with a hint of bitterness, which was more of an adult flavor. The crab meatball hot pot had a lot of crab broth and was very delicious. For dessert, I could choose from about four options. The crab nigiri that I ordered separately had the strongest crab flavor and I really liked it.

I visited for Sunday lunch. The spacious interior allows you to relax. The staff seemed a bit in a bad mood, which made me a little scared. The crab hot pot course for 5000 yen was a bit too salty towards the end, so I wished they had offered some hot water. I was happy that dessert was included in the course. Thank you for the meal.

Whenever I called, they always said, "We are fully booked for today." But when I went to the restaurant and lined up, they let me in right away. Is that so? It's been over 20 years since I last visited Kani Doraku in Namba, Osaka. The inside is spacious and has a traditional Japanese atmosphere, which I think foreigners would love. More than half of the customers were foreigners. They specialize in crab dishes, serving only crab-related dishes. I chose the snow crab course, but I couldn't resist ordering additional snow crab sashimi. This is it! Incredibly tender, sweet, and delicious. It's crab dishes in the middle of summer, but they were delicious.

There was a birthday party at the main store of Kanidouraku in Shinjuku. We enjoyed crab while chatting in a Japanese-style banquet room, and it felt like we were on a company trip with everyone. When it comes to crab, Kanidouraku is the best choice. We enjoyed it very much.

A few years ago, I tried it in Kansai, but it was my first time in Tokyo. I chose the Shinjuku main store and went for lunch. The quality exceeded my expectations, and I had a great time with my family. Especially the crab was outstanding, with a delicious sweetness and great texture. I also felt reassured by the fact that they let me taste the soup before making the porridge, and the final taste was perfect. Although I was too full to try the hairy crab this time, I would definitely like to try it if I have the chance. I am looking forward to the next visit.

I felt like eating crab to my heart's content after a long time. I tried to go here before, but couldn't get a reservation and ended up disappointed with a crab course at another izakaya. This time, I am finally visiting. Come to think of it, this might be my first time at Kani Doraku. It's my first time entering Kani Doraku, but once inside, the restaurant is quite spacious. It's surprising that it was fully booked and I couldn't get in. It makes you wonder how much Japanese people love crabs. I've made a reservation for the Crab Charcoal Grill Special Course "Fireplace" for 15,000 yen (tax included 16,500 yen). "Enjoy the rich and intense flavor of carefully selected ingredients grilled over charcoal in a hearty manner." The menu includes: Taraba crab vinegar, crab sashimi, Zuwai crab two kinds of sashimi, crab tofu shumai, crab miso shell grilled, Taraba crab charcoal grill, crab tempura, crab sushi, clear soup, fruits. Well, it's a crab feast with everything from raw to grilled to tempura. My craving for crab has been satisfied for now. However, this restaurant doesn't have a good selection of alcohol. Especially, they only have Kirin's sake, which was disappointing. But, there was one good thing. Crab sake for 1,100 yen. This is delicious. It has a rich flavor, so you can drink it without any snacks. When there are no good sake options like Hira sake or Kotsu sake, having this one is a lifesaver. For now, I'm satisfied with fulfilling my craving for crab. Crabs are best enjoyed at specialized restaurants rather than regular izakayas.

I received the top-quality sashimi set of Kani Douraku for 15,000 yen, which was a rare treat! I thoroughly enjoyed the crab, it was incredibly delicious. The only downside was the time it took for the dishes to come out. It seemed like there weren't enough staff, so the food took a while to arrive. If this is improved, it would be a 5-star experience. Overall, no complaints. I'll have to come back when I have plenty of time to spare. It would be inconvenient if I were in a rush.

On Children's Day, I visited the restaurant with my grandparents and family. It was in the middle of Golden Week, post-COVID, so the restaurant was fully booked. We were seated in a private room, but the tables on both sides were occupied by foreign tourists. I ordered the 11,000 yen Hous course, which included a basket of crab dishes (crab miso, mini salad, crab sashimi), boiled crab tasting (snow crab, king crab, hairy crab), crab chawanmushi, crab gratin, crab sushi soup, and fruits. Everything was delicious! The service was a bit inconsistent, possibly due to the restaurant being full or new staff members. It's not a major issue though. I will definitely come back to this restaurant if I want to eat lots of crab again!

I made a reservation and visited the restaurant after 18:00. I called all the Kanidouraku restaurants in Tokyo, but they were fully booked on Friday through Sunday nights. I tried calling the day before and was told that there was a seat available if I arrived by 18:30. I was at the restaurant from 18:15 to around 19:30, and the place was empty. When I asked the staff, they said they were short-staffed and couldn't take many reservations because people who quit due to COVID are not returning to work in the food industry. Even if you can't make a reservation at Kanidouraku, I think there will be seats available if you just show up. I chose the 5000 yen course, which has the fewest dishes, as I have been eating too much due to business dinners. I would have liked to eat more crab, but with 7 courses including dessert, I was already full. I think it would be nice to add crab as a separate dish. I will visit again.

It's been quite a while since I last visited Kani Doraku. I used to go a few times because I love crabs, but I suddenly felt like indulging in some Taraba crab, so I made a reservation. I love the traditional Japanese tatami room atmosphere. Each table is separated by partitions, which is very nice. As soon as you enter, the aroma of crab cooked in a brazier stimulates your appetite. The meal started with boiled Taraba crab, followed by a sashimi platter, chawanmushi, grilled crab, hot pot, and tempura, all served generously. The grilled and hot pot dishes were particularly delicious. I remember a few years ago there were maybe two larger Taraba crabs in the tempura, but this time there was only one small one, which was disappointing. I still wanted more even though I was not full yet. There were many Chinese customers and it was crowded.

I didn't order a course meal, but instead ordered various dishes a la carte. Everything was delicious, especially the ice-cold sashimi called "flower ice" was exceptional. I forgot to take a photo, but the hot porridge was also delicious. The restaurant is spacious and relaxing.

I love this place and used to go often, but recently it's been hard to get a reservation. Finally managed to get one and went! I made a reservation for 5:00 PM and it quickly filled up! I had the Full Moon course as usual! It was delicious as always! Thank you for the meal!

The interior of the restaurant is relatively dark and calm. I visited around 4 pm, so it was not crowded (5-minute wait) and the atmosphere was nice, but it gets quite busy at night. The lunch hours are until 4 pm, allowing you to enjoy the crab hot pot for a good deal at 5,000 yen. I received a dry arm with ingredients and drank the soup, finishing with porridge. It was delicious until the end. Dinner costs around 7,000 yen, but lunch ranges from 3,500 to 5,000 yen (food only), so going a little before 4 pm for an early dinner seems wise. The prices for drinks are reasonable, showing that they do not profit much from beverages. *The crab sushi and soup in the photo are from a different course.

I used Flower Potion for my mother's birthday celebration because she wanted to eat crab. Unfortunately, they didn't have live crabs in stock, but the sashimi was fresh and my mother was pleased. We ordered the "Full Moon" course and enjoyed all the dishes. It was a bit difficult to pick out the crab meat for the rice dish (laughs). The birthday gesture for my mother was also appreciated, and we had a wonderful time. One downside is that if you don't ask for the dishes to be served quickly, you may end up waiting quite a while for your food, even if you pre-order a course. We had to wait over 30 minutes, which was disappointing. Is it common to change course orders at celebratory meals? We received an apology when we left, but the service was good overall as long as you follow the ordering rules (laughs). The crab was delicious, but I wish they would put more effort into the desserts. Thank you for the meal.

It has been a while since I visited Kani Doraku. This was my first time at the Shinjuku main store. When I arrived a little before my reservation time at 12:00, there were 4.5 groups of customers waiting in the waiting area, all seeming a bit impatient despite having made reservations... After about 10 minutes, we were shown to our private room. The tatami room with a sunken kotatsu was spacious and comfortable, with its own air conditioning and internal phone, making it a pleasant experience. Since other stores usually have stylish table seats, the tatami room was a refreshing change. After confirming the reservation course for the day, we ordered drinks. We were told that we could also order additional items a la carte, so I added my favorite crab miso♪ The drinks arrived in about 5 minutes, but they were served in small glasses meant for bottled beer... and they smelled like crab! Needless to say, we asked for another glass. However, despite waiting... the food did not arrive. It took over 20 minutes from the time we sat down for the first dish to be served. Even though it was lunchtime and the restaurant was busy, I would have liked the appetizer from the reserved course to be served earlier...´д` Next was the crab miso we ordered. The crab miso was topped with crab meat and had a rich and sticky texture that was very delicious♬ It was definitely a good choice to add it♡ And then came the main dish, crab sukiyaki. The dish included cute carrot slices shaped like crabs, Chinese cabbage, shiitake mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, leeks, white konjac, and tofu. It also had crab dumplings in bamboo tubes and raw crab served in different parts, providing a substantial amount of food! To enjoy the umami of the crab broth, there was a bowl with seaweed and leeks, making it very satisfying! Lastly, we had the delicious crab broth with rice and egg to finish off the meal. The broth was so delicious that the zosui was elegant and exquisite (*´∇`*) Thank you, Kani Doraku. When it comes to eating crab, Kani Doraku is the best choice! I did notice that the staff seemed a bit rushed and there were some concerns about their hospitality. Next time, I want to try the crab sake that was on the menu. Thank you for the meal.

The interior of the restaurant was very nice. It felt like the main store! The crab was delicious too! I think foreign visitors would be very pleased. There were many foreign groups of customers compared to Japanese customers. The restroom was also very clean. I wondered if the customers were being treated well. I wished I could have eaten more crab. I am thinking of visiting again next time! The children were also eating while saying it was delicious!

I contacted them a month ago but their reservations were full so I went as a walk-in. I lined up from around 4 pm and was seated around 6 pm. I was prepared to wait so this was okay. Crab never disappoints. I ordered the shabu-shabu course plus some a la carte items. It's not a place you can go to multiple times a year, so let's indulge. The restaurant accepts electronic GOTO Eat, so I used it. It was delicious, I was so happy!!
