Visit date: End of December 2020 I had a feeling that I would get lonely during New Year's, and it turned out to be true. So now, on the morning of January 2nd, I find myself eating senbei. I stocked up on senbei from Musashiya at the end of the year, and I'm enjoying them with beer in the afternoon. The O-kaki Shokunin (Yaki Nori Tekka) for 410 yen is a basic hard-baked senbei with a crispy texture and a wonderful aroma of crispy seaweed. The Goma Nakamaru for 276 yen is an exquisite piece with a high-quality and elegant sesame fragrance. The Ware Sen for 310 yen, despite being broken pieces, is crispy without any hint of moisture, with a deliciously sharp soy sauce flavor. The light sesame seeds and Goma Nakamaru are also well balanced and incredibly delicious! I look forward to enjoying Musashiya's delicious senbei again this year!

Date of visit: October 22nd (Thursday) 3:10 PM. On the way back after enjoying sushi at "Sushiro", I stopped by "Musashiya" for the first time in 5 years to buy some senbei. I purchased the Garlic Daimar 275 yen and Nori Daimar 425 yen, both containing 5 pieces. Garlic senbei, which is one of my favorite snacks, still had the same wonderful aroma and delicious taste. As for the Nori senbei, it was my first time trying it, but the sharp soy sauce flavor matched well with the senbei dough, and the hint of seaweed added a nice touch. Although the Garlic senbei seemed more budget-friendly at 55 yen per piece, the Nori senbei at 85 yen per piece was still a fair price. I will continue to be a loyal customer. Thank you for the delicious snacks!

I bought a lot of rice crackers and arare for around 300 yen per bag. The shop is located in a maze of narrow streets in Fuchu City. I parked my car in the one-way street parking lot one shop before this one, on the west side, and then entered the shop. The shop has been around for a long time, but it is in a location that is not easy to find if you don't know about it. The lady who served me was very friendly, and I chose my rice crackers in a warm and cozy atmosphere. I bought three types of "Kodai-yaki" (regular, soy sauce, and kombu flavors) for 300 yen each, "Garlic Senbei" for 275 yen, "Kyoto Dance" (seaweed crackers) for 450 yen, and "Ume no Kaori" (pink rice crackers in the photo) for 300 yen. I originally bought them for myself, but ended up giving two bags to acquaintances. These rice crackers are really delicious. I started with the soy sauce flavor of "Kodai-yaki" and thought it was just okay at first, but then I quickly realized how delicious it was. The family's favorite was the pink "Ume no Kaori," with its irresistible sweet and sour taste. I ended up eating most of the seaweed crackers by myself. Every item was delicious, I will definitely come back to buy more. Thank you for the meal.

Visited a long-time friend after a long time by car. Since they are conscious of their body fat, sweets are a no-go. I thought about bringing rice crackers as a parting gift, but the chain stores in the outskirts were uninteresting. I searched online for any old-fashioned stores in the area, and I found one. It was on the outskirts of the same city, but the road was so narrow that I wondered if there really was a rice cracker shop there. I sent my wife to buy while I waited in the driver's seat. Our friends were really pleased with the gift. We also enjoyed them a lot. The seaweed-wrapped rice crackers had a crispy texture. The mayonnaise-flavored rice crackers were also interesting. As for the regular rice crackers in the photo, as others have commented, you can really taste the flavor of the rice. Plus, they were very reasonably priced.

On May 16, 2015 (Saturday), I purchased mayonnaise and garlic flavored rice crackers. I visited Musashiya Senbei, a rice cracker shop that I have been a customer of for over 10 years. It had been a while since I visited the main store, as I usually buy their rice crackers from "Panadie" store. Today, I decided to visit the main store after a long time and bought some rice crackers. It's about a 15-minute walk from the nearest station, Tachibana Station. The shop is located in a quiet residential area, with a traditional yet dignified building. Without the help of a local or a passionate Musashiya Senbei fan, it would be hard to find this hidden gem. As I entered the shop, I was greeted by a world of rice crackers. They had a wide variety of individually sold rice crackers that are not available at "Panadie". However, I had my eyes set on a specific flavor. I bought the "Ancient Soy Sauce" flavor for my wife, who loves it, and the "garlic flavored" one for myself. The owner, who seemed unchanged from before, kindly took my payment and I left the shop. According to him, the rice crackers are not baked in the shop, unlike "Iriyama Senbei" in Asakusa, which would have been interesting. I enjoyed the subtly garlic-scented rice crackers as a snack with beer at home. The texture was fine and crispy, yet it melted in my mouth. It was a rare and delightful experience. I would like to continue supporting this shop for a long time. (Total bill: 432 yen)

Amazing deliciousness!! Some of the "senbei" here are truly deserving of such high praise. I tried a few varieties, but the "fried senbei with salt" is particularly outstanding. I didn't discover this place by chance, I read other people's reviews and decided to check it out. It's located in a residential area where no one would think to visit, adding to its charm. You must try the "fried senbei with salt" first. I'm sure your first bite will make you say "delicious". Before trying the senbei here, I thought the "mayonnaise okaki" from "Ajihyakuhonpo" in Kiyose was the best. But once I discovered "Musashiya", I fell in love with their senbei. It feels like being led by the White Rabbit into the "Wonderland", a hidden senbei shop deep in the residential area. It's a great place. The two varieties that really impressed me were the "fried senbei with salt" and the "kakimochi nori okaki". Especially the fried senbei with salt, I couldn't stop eating it. Beware!! If you want to get lost in a Wonderland, this place might be worth a visit.

When I used to live in Fuchu City, I happened to discover this place at a supermarket. I could taste the flavor of the rice in the senbei, and when I mentioned it to the owner, they proudly told me that they use a different quality of rice compared to others. Since then, I have been recommending it to people who love senbei. I no longer live in Fuchu City, so I can't visit the store in person. They don't have an online store, so I had to lower my rating for service (but they will send you products if you send them cash). But that's part of what makes them special. I used to buy from their online store on Rakuten, but I think it was a good decision for them to stop. It would be too much work if they received orders from all over the country. My favorite is the "Kagamimochi-age." Both the salt and soy sauce flavors are amazing. I received it as a birthday present in June 2016 from a colleague at work. I purchase it regularly (especially in large quantities during the year-end for Kagamimochi-age). It was running out just when I received this gift. It makes me happy. In our house, we always keep it in stock like we do with Super Dry beer.

About 8 years ago, a colleague at work recommended a delicious senbei shop to me. When I tried their senbei, I was amazed by the strong taste of the rice in these hand-made senbei! It's a rare shop run by an individual. The traditional soy sauce flavor in these crispy senbei really stands out! The soy sauce has a burnt aroma and the deliciousness of the rice hits you twice. The "mukashi okaki" (shichimi pepper) is also a must-try. The soy sauce flavor is intense, with the soy sauce generously coated on the stick-shaped senbei, making it quite salty. And then, shichimi pepper is sprinkled on top. It's truly addictive. In addition to these, they also have standard hand-made senbei, senbei with shredded kelp, and fried senbei. There isn't a single miss among them. While I can't get it this time, I highly recommend the kakinotane. It's different from the mass-produced kakinotane you see in supermarkets. Each piece of this kakinotane senbei is irregular, with soy sauce seeping in here and there, giving it a fragrant taste, and a spicy kick from the shichimi pepper. It's spicy. The main ingredient rice is all domestically produced, ensuring a safe and delicious taste! Considering that, the price is really cost-effective! It's much more delicious than the senbei you would buy as a gift from a famous department store! However, the shop is quite hidden in a residential area. But you don't have to go to the hard-to-find shop, as they are also available at other stores. As far as I know, you can purchase them at Panadise and Fukushima-ya Honten.

On a Sunday in February 2016, my wife, elementary school daughter, and I visited the local forest museum. We found some rice crackers from Musashiya at the Fuchu City Forest Museum Tourist Product Pavilion. We decided to try the "Ancient Baked Salted Rice Crackers" (330 yen including tax). They were a bit more expensive than the ones you find in supermarkets, but I personally found them to have a delicious, not too salty, adult taste.
