I hope Hachioji becomes a livelier town!!! This time, I visited "Granrupa Minamiosawa Store," located a 3-minute walk from Keio Line Minamiosawa Station. This shop is adjacent to the Mitsui Outlet Park Minamiosawa (commonly known as LaLaport Tama) and is known for its wide variety of high-end and rare items, making it popular among hidden fans. The bread made in the store is also popular. In front of the store, there are several large tables that can seat about 6 people each, where visitors to LaLaport Tama buy onigiri, bento boxes, bread, drinks, etc., and enjoy their meals. When it gets warmer, on weekends, there are street vendors selling items like grilled squid in front of the store. - Visit date: around 12:00 pm - Store: supermarket in Mitsui Outlet Park - Staff: several young ladies at the register ● Joshu Ota's Sauce Yakisoba (378 yen) Joshu's Ota City is famous for its Akagi oroshi wind. Ota's Daikoin is a temple built by Tokugawa Ieyasu in Keicho 18, and the priest who was brought from Edo, Donryu Shonin, raised many children suffering from food shortages while sharing his own and his disciples' porridge. This story has spread nationwide as "Kodakurab Donryu-sama." Also, "Kanayama" is a symbol. Saito Yuki, also known as Hankachi Prince, who retired, is also from Ota City. However, I have no childhood memories of Ota's sauce yakisoba. I don't know when they started promoting Ota's sauce yakisoba. The yakisoba I received didn't have any distinctive features and was just delicious yakisoba. By the way, what's been attracting attention in Ota City recently is the "Gunma Tororin" Yamato Imo, which has a lot of stickiness, and when grated, the Yamato Imo doesn't fall off even when the plate is turned upside down. I want to get my hands on "Gunma Tororin" Yamato Imo, but I wonder if I can get it at the Michi-no-Eki Ota. If anyone knows how to get it, please let me know. If it's available, I will drive to Ota City. Thank you for the meal.
