I visited a shop in my neighborhood for the first time. It is the only branch of the well-established Sapporo confectionery shop "Sanhachi Kado" outside of Hokkaido. Their recommended item, the "Don Dora" dorayaki, is a delicacy with a fluffy baked skin filled with sweet red bean paste made from Hokkaido beans. I was able to purchase the last one today. Another item I tried was the "Sapporo Times Square," a steamed cake filled with a creamy custard cream. I chose the "Plain" type, which was soft and delicious. They also had a Halloween version available. Both items are small in size, making them perfect for a snack. The Don Dora costs 180 yen and the Times Square Plain costs 200 yen. Thank you for the delicious treats.

A traditional Japanese confectionery shop near Jindaiji Temple, a 17-minute walk from Futata Station on the Keio Line. The shop is located next to a delivery center, with its main store in Sapporo, Hokkaido. Their signature item is the "dorayaki," a pancake filled with plenty of sweet red bean paste. The "mame daifuku" is also popular, with large beans providing a great texture and delicious taste. Find them on Instagram at kuidaore.8.

I bought it, but it wasn't enough for one person, so I couldn't eat it~ I've come here a few times before, but I realized it wasn't posted, so this time I didn't comment on the taste, but posted it haha. I remember that it used to be cash only, but this time it was cashless. How wonderful! ===========

It's cold but the days seem to be getting longer. On a holiday evening, I was walking along the riverbank and remembered there might be a snack shop nearby. I found it - a snack shop called "Sanhachi Seika" tucked away in a corner of a parking lot. The shop had various snacks, with dorayaki as the main item. I learned that "Sanhachi Seika" is a long-established snack maker in Sapporo, founded in 1875. They also sell "Kumagoro Ramen" on Sundays. Today, I tried the dorayaki - a fluffy, small-sized dorayaki with moist skin and a generous amount of red bean paste inside. It was delicious, and I could feel a hint of Sapporo's essence in it.

I visit my previous dog's grave at Jindaiji Temple irregularly. It's a bit of a distance, but recently I've been walking from Chofu station instead of taking the bus. After having lunch, I felt like having something sweet, so I stopped by this place. The regular price is 150 yen, but they had a discounted item with a short expiration date for 20 yen less - lucky me! I enjoyed a small and cute dorayaki outside the shop. Thank you for the meal.

I stopped by a sweets shop in Sapporo while passing by. On my second visit, I bought Dorayaki, Sapporo Times Square, and rice flour chiffon cake. They were all fluffy and delicious. Dorayaki was gently sweet and had a nice flavor. Sapporo Times Square had a perfect combination of custard and red bean with the fluffy sponge cake. The rice flour chiffon cake was enhanced by the fragrant maple syrup that came with it, making it even more delicious. I'm happy that there is a precious shop where you can buy Sapporo sweets in Chofu! I will definitely visit again when I come to Jindaiji!

A traditional Japanese confectionery shop from Sapporo has opened in Chofu City, Jindaiji. It opened on September 16, 2016. Located at the intersection of Sasu Street and Mitaka Street. Opens at 10 am. There was a long line of customers eagerly waiting. While waiting, they offered a complimentary piece of "Butter Senbei" for 1200 yen per can. It's a crispy Japanese cookie with a texture similar to a dorayaki skin, and quite delicious. I purchased the "Dondora" for 150 yen each. It is advertised as a freshly baked dorayaki, with a fluffy and fragrant skin. Inside, it is filled with red beans from Hokkaido, giving it a firm yet soft texture with a rich flavor. The meticulous craftsmanship is evident in the product. It has a refined sweetness that most people would enjoy, except for those who dislike overly sweet treats. Currently, there are no other stores besides Sapporo and here, so it is exciting to see if they will expand further into Tokyo. Expectations are high.

I just opened and this was my first visit. I was intrigued to learn that the dorayaki here is air-shipped from Hokkaido, and that they use Hokkaido-grown red beans and wheat flour. When I tried it, the red bean paste was soft and had whole red bean grains, melting in my mouth. The cake was moist on the outside, fluffy on the inside, with a great flavor and texture. It was not too sweet, and the balance between the red bean paste and the cake was excellent. I have tried several famous dorayaki before, but this one is definitely top-notch!
