東京旨いもの食べ歩き
On this day, I visited "RESTAURANT DAZZLE" in Ginza for lunch. Located on the 9th floor of the Mikimoto building near Marunouchi Gate, you take the elevator up. When you get off the elevator, you are greeted by a modern space with high ceilings. The presence of the glass-encased wine cellar is impressive. I had made a reservation for the Diners Club Ginza Restaurant Week lunch course (5,500 yen) on this day. It's a fair that anyone can reserve, but having a Diners Club card allows you to make reservations ahead of the general public, making it easier to get the reservation you want. First, I thought I would start with some bubbly, but the staff suggested, "Would you like to start with Prosecco?" so I agreed, only to realize later that I had misunderstood something here.
STARTER:
The first dish was "Prosciutto and homemade brioche crostini." The brioche is topped with cream cheese and prosciutto. It's undeniably delicious. Holding it in your hand and taking a bite, it's naturally delicious. The aroma of the brioche pairs well with the Prosecco. Bread and extra virgin olive oil were also provided.
APPETIZER:
The appetizer was "Kagoshima bonito carpaccio with caponata and zucchini puree, aioli, and yuzu-flavored sauce." The bonito is tender and delicious. The freshness of the zucchini and the garlic flavor of the aioli sauce complement the bonito well. Here, I ordered a red wine (Barolo: 1,430 yen) and my wife ordered a white wine (Pinot Grigio: 1,100 yen).
PASTA:
The pasta was "Homemade stone-milled wheat spaghetti with grilled conger eel and spring cabbage aglio e olio finished with karasumi." The aroma of the noodles is excellent and delicious. The conger eel is fragrant, and the karasumi enhances the umami.
MAIN DISH:
I chose meat, while my wife chose fish. The meat dish was "Yamagata beef thigh meat tagliata with rocket and Parmigiano, and suco di carne meat sauce." The flavorful tagliata, the umami of Parmigiano, and the freshness of rocket are well balanced and very delicious. It paired well with red wine. The fish dish was grilled swordfish with butterbur sprouts, sakura shrimp, and anchovy sauce.
DESSERT:
The dessert was "White chocolate panna cotta with seasonal citrus." It was also delicious. The sweetness of the panna cotta, the fragrance of the citrus, and the slightly firm jelly texture made it very tasty.
COFFEE or TEA:
I could also choose a café latte. It was a delicious café latte with rich milk and slightly bitter espresso. The food and wine were very delicious, and I was satisfied. At this point, I noticed that soup was being served around me, and upon checking the Tabelog, I found out that the 5,500 yen course includes soup, but the Diners course this time did not. This question was resolved at the time of payment. Looking at the receipt, the Prosecco I ordered initially was included in the Diners course. I had mistakenly thought I had ordered a glass of Prosecco normally. In conclusion, the Diners course includes one drink in the regular 5,500 yen course, but no soup, which I finally understood at the end. The food and wine were very delicious, the cost performance was high, the staff were very hospitable, and it was a very satisfying lunch. Thank you for the meal.
