I went for lunch. Whenever I feel like eating sushi, I come here. The best part is being able to eat freshly made sushi by the chef. It's very delicious!!! I have been here during weekday lunch hours several times, but the turnover is quick so I didn't have to wait long to get a table. ✨

The sushi made by the head chef was skillfully prepared using fresh ingredients of the season. The restaurant had many foreign customers and the staff were able to communicate in English, providing explanations about Japanese culture. The sushi was carefully explained and the head chef served high-quality dishes. The restaurant's convenient location right by the station makes me want to visit again.

I moved my workplace this April, so I looked for a sushi restaurant nearby that I can easily visit♪ I found one! It's a casual and friendly place♪ I went in right away and saw a list of today's recommended dishes on the wall in front of the counter♪ I felt excited! I ordered a selection of 3 dishes with sake. The sake was Ganryu♪ I started with a delicious appetizer of kombu with baby squid, followed by marinated sea bream and bonito sashimi. The bonito sashimi was amazing! I also had grilled eel with ponzu sauce and added grilled bamboo shoots and simmered octopus as additional dishes. The sake was flowing, and I almost forgot about the sushi! I then ordered a set of 5 nigiri sushi, including seared squid, tuna, sea urchin, and surf clam. The presentation was beautiful and the flavors were exquisite! The head chef was friendly and made the experience even more enjoyable with his jokes. I will definitely be back again! Thank you for the wonderful meal♪

I had a late lunch and enjoyed a delicious tuna bowl! The tuna bowl from the sushi restaurant was made with high-quality tuna, and it was really tasty. It cost around 2500 yen, so it was a bit on the expensive side for lunch, but I have no regrets (lol).

I casually tried using it for a zeroth meeting. It's very convenient because you can go with omakase or a la carte. On this day, I wanted to keep it light with zeroth meeting, so I had a few dishes with omakase, and then had about four pieces of nigiri with omakase. It's not the taste of a super high-end restaurant, but they do a good job and it's a great place for a casual snack. I accidentally found it delicious and almost ate too much even though it was just a zeroth meeting (laughs).

It is an open sushi restaurant located inside a commercial facility. The interior has a clean and welcoming atmosphere, with a counter where you can sit. The quality of the sushi may not be as high compared to other specialty sushi restaurants, but the friendly chef provides efficient service without any stress. There were also regular customers present.

I visited Suntory Hall for a live performance. I chose the 6,000 yen course. The sushi rice was seasoned with red vinegar. The Oma tuna was very delicious. The staff at the restaurant were kind and attentive, making the dining experience very pleasant.

I heard there was a popular sushi restaurant with long lines at Ark Hills, so I decided to check it out. It's a chain called Kyotatsu, but there was no line on the weekend. Maybe because they offer lunch sets for around 1000 yen on weekdays? I ordered the Kyotatsu set (3300 yen including tax). The sushi came out in this order: red snapper, gizzard shad, lean tuna, scallop, aged yellowtail, cured horse mackerel, medium fatty tuna, ikura gunkan-maki, umeshiso roll, and conger eel. The sushi rice was seasoned with red vinegar and was slightly warm and soft. I personally don't like softer sushi rice. The quality of the fish was decent for the price. The miso soup with seaweed was too salty so I left it. The service was efficient.

I dropped by this shop located in Roppongi 1-chome, inside Ark Hills. I wanted to try the fresh sushi of the day, so I asked for the chef's choice. This shop uses red vinegar rice, which seems to be traditional Edo-style sushi, but it was actually my first time trying red vinegar sushi. I was very satisfied with the delicious sushi recommended by the chef. The staff's service was also very good, with a friendly yet reserved approach. I will definitely visit again soon ❤︎

No regular holidays, reservations available. Suddenly craving sushi and visited for the best course at night. Located in a food street directly connected to the station, with an easy-to-enter atmosphere despite the curtain hanging. Started with appetizers, followed by grilled dishes and steamed rice bowls before the sushi. The sashimi and sushi were quite delicious, but the grilled dishes lacked a distinctive taste. Surprisingly, it seemed okay for children even at night, and regular customers seemed to enjoy eating quickly and leaving. The amount of alcohol was not that much, but the sushi was quite tasty, with an additional roll at the end. Also, the dessert of warabi mochi was unexpectedly delicious. However, this place is highly recommended for lunch rather than dinner!

On July 7, 2020, I initially planned to visit a Spanish restaurant, as it had high ratings on Tabelog and lunch was supposed to start at 11:00. However, upon arriving at 11:05, I found out that the restaurant actually opened at 11:30. Disappointed, I decided to try a restaurant in Roppongi that I hadn't been to before. The prices seemed a bit high, but I opted for the daily special bowl priced at 1320 yen. The restaurant was empty except for me, and I observed the staff preparing takeout orders efficiently. The daily special bowl arrived, featuring marinated tuna, dried young sardines, thinly sliced scallops, and salmon roe, served with pickled ginger and lotus root. The rice was seasoned with red vinegar, and although the portion was generous, the balance between rice and toppings was off. The quality of the tuna was poor, the sardines tasted average, and the scallops lacked flavor. Despite these shortcomings, I appreciated the service and adherence to social distancing measures. Overall, it was a learning experience, and I left feeling full but regretful of the unnecessary calories consumed. I look forward to redeeming my dining experience at the Spanish restaurant next time.

I visited for lunch on a day off. I had nigiri sushi and rolls. The red vinegar rice was not too sour, and I thought it was nice for a change. The fish slices were thick and colorful, giving a satisfying lunch experience.

The restaurant is suitable for entertaining overseas visitors, with private rooms available for up to 6 people. There is an English menu for easy ordering, and at least one staff member can speak English. The interior is clean and bright, with wooden walls giving a Japanese touch. The grilled dishes and salads were delicious, with the grilled squid having a refined salty flavor. The sushi set for 3,000 yen was simple but all the fish was fresh and tasty, especially the fatty pieces. The squid was also delicious, although one visitor found it difficult to chew and left some uneaten. Overall, the visitors were pleased with the meal, making the entertainment successful.

I visited this restaurant for lunch on a regular day. It is located on the 1st floor of Ark Hills South Tower, directly connected to Roppongi-itchome Station on the Tokyo Metro Namboku Line. There are many other dining options around. It takes about 40 seconds to walk from the station, so the access is very convenient. The entrance of the restaurant is adorned with a row of noren curtains. The interior is quite spacious, with an L-shaped counter and a few tables for two. There are several lunch sets available, ranging from a reasonable 1,080 yen set to a higher-priced 1,800 yen set. I opted for the affordable "Kyoto" set, which includes 7 pieces of sushi, a roll, and miso soup. The chef prepares the sushi right in front of you and even brushes soy sauce onto the pieces, so there's no need to dip them. I was a bit concerned about the freshness of the fish, especially with Tsukiji Market relocating to Toyosu, but my worries were unfounded. The squid and white fish had a rich flavor, and the tuna and bonito were also very fresh. The roll was a bonus and a nice touch. Considering the prices in Roppongi-itchome, this sushi set offers good value for the quality. I would definitely consider revisiting this place in the future.

Edo-style sushi restaurant at Ark Hills South Tower. Had a light meal and drinks with colleagues. Located in Ark Hills South Tower, directly connected to Roppongi-itchome Station on the metro. Perhaps due to the location or just by chance, there were many foreigners dining at the restaurant. We sat at the counter shoulder to shoulder with foreigners. We started with beer and moved on to sake, enjoying various sashimi dishes. The chef in front of us provided detailed explanations for each dish.
"Natural Hokkaido Tobi-sun Maguro" - a high-quality dish with excellent taste. It had a combination of lean meat and medium fatty tuna. A sophisticated and brilliant taste. It is not as well-known as the "Oma Maguro," but it comes from the same Tsugaru Strait. Depending on whether the tuna is caught on the Aomori side, it is labeled as "Oma" or "Tobi" if caught on the Hokkaido side.
"Natural Indian Tuna" - a tuna dish presented for comparison. It had a slightly stronger taste, with hints of iron or the flavorful blood of the tuna. As someone who prefers lean meat over fatty tuna, I found the initial taste of this Indian Tuna appealing. However, as you continue chewing, the refined and elegant taste of the natural maguro prevails, making the Indian Tuna taste less impressive in comparison.
Other dishes like "Chiba Suzuki" and "Nagasaki Isaki" were also of high quality. The "Iwate Ishigaki Shellfish" had a delicate and memorable taste. The "Sazae no Tsuboyaki" was delicious as well. The sushi was served as an "omakase" style, with a total of 10 pieces and a small bowl of uni. The vinegar rice was simple, made with red vinegar and salt, allowing the flavors of the toppings to shine through.
Overall, the flow of flavors and the dining experience were satisfying. The price was slightly on the higher side, but considering the location, it was understandable. This restaurant may not have the highest rating on food review sites due to the abundance of high-end sushi restaurants in the Roppongi area, but it offers a genuine Edo-style sushi experience. The chef we had this time was excellent, and I believe the compatibility with the chef plays a significant role in the dining experience. Thank you very much.
By the way, the foreigner next to us used too much soy sauce... (laughs)

The sushi lunch available at the counter seats here starts from the 1000 yen range, and I think it offers good value for money. The sushi is made to order, and it comes with small dishes and dessert, which is amazing for this price. The toppings are quite delicious, and this is my favorite restaurant. For men, the portion might be a bit small.

Lunchtime is quite crowded at this sushi restaurant. The coordination between the chefs and staff is rare to see. The level of sushi is high, and the service is truly pleasant. This kind of restaurant is what you would call "high quality" and "elegant." They also have a variety of sake, so it's easy to end up drinking too much even during the day. It's a place that I would like to visit during quieter times or in the evening when I can order my favorite items without difficulty.

Various cashless payments are accepted. You can use the private room even during lunchtime, but you cannot order from the lunch menu. The private room can accommodate about 6 people. The sushi with red vinegar rice was delicious.
