Cafe TAK! TAK! @ Chofu City, Tokyo @ Cafe This is the perfect hidden gem cafe! It's stylish with a beautiful garden and charming terrace seating. Located between Jindaiji and Kyorin University, you'll find it hidden in a residential area behind the Top supermarket and Matsumoto Kiyoshi. From Tsutsujigaoka Station on the Keio Line, follow a relatively narrow road over two hills to reach it. The building is a chic, white Western-style mansion. The spacious garden includes a terrace seating area. The bright interior, with large glass windows, features a counter at the entrance and a grand piano in the back. There are eight table seats and also counter seats available. The menu mainly offers coffee and tea, with a few juice options as well. They serve two types of homemade cakes, one of which comes as a complimentary treat with your drink. The terrace seating under a large weeping plum tree in the garden is the perfect spot to relax. I tried the Blend Coffee for 450 yen. It was a fragrant coffee carefully brewed via drip method, accompanied by a soft and fragrant lemon chiffon cake piece. The chiffon cake was softer and smoother than regular ones, and even someone like me who isn't a big fan of chiffon cake found it delicious. This place truly lives up to its name as a hidden gem, as you wouldn't stumble upon it by chance or notice it while shopping at Top or Matsumoto Kiyoshi. There is parking space for one car in front of the shop, and they are currently open only three days a week. Highly recommended. ★★★★★ Parking: Available for one car, no coin parking nearby Visit Date: 2022-04-26, Lunch Hours: Yes (Hot Dogs), Takeout: Unknown Closed: Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays (Open only on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays) Business Hours: 10:30-17:30, Smoking: Completely non-smoking Credit Cards: Not accepted, Electronic Money: Not accepted Point Cards: None, Likelihood of Repeat Visit: High Note: ==========

It's located in a hidden spot that you might accidentally overlook... I'm glad I found it thanks to Tabelog and Google Sensei's guidance. I visited on a sunny day in March. The sign at the storefront says, "A small shop for drinks and snacks only. Please relax in the green garden and quiet music. No smoking inside." There's also a terrace where you can bring your dog or smoke. Due to the original schedule or perhaps because of the pandemic, the shop was only open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays (at that time), making it hard to find a chance to visit. I usually visit a micro-cafe nearby (a cafe that uses delicious Niigata rice for rice balls), but finally, the timing worked out for a visit here. Even just ordering a drink and gazing at the garden is soothing enough. Today's cake was "Sakura Chiffon Cake," and despite being full from the rice, my brain commanded me to try it. The salt-pickled cherry blossoms were beautiful in color and flavor, perfectly complementing the fluffy and elegantly sweet chiffon cake. Cherry blossoms and chiffon cake go well together. I got to enjoy spring a little early.

A cozy cafe with delightful jazz music playing and delicious chiffon cakes available. Today's special is Torta Caprese. The cake has a crispy outer layer and a light, fluffy inside, making it easy to devour. Highly recommended. It's a lucky day to have this on the menu. The locals seem to stop by for a leisurely stroll or to relax. I usually drink a lot of coffee, but I also enjoy Cafe au Lait here. The pour-over coffee has a rich flavor, perfect even without milk. I often come here to recharge before work. Thanks for the meal today.

[Location/Environment] Walking along the back road of the Matsumoto Kiyoshi Fuchu-Daigaku store, you will find a cozy café in a standalone house. There doesn't seem to be a nearby station, and it can be quite difficult to reach by car. [Ambiance/Service] The café appears to be a converted home, with a beautiful all-white exterior. The terrace seating in the garden is spacious and offers a sense of openness. The only way to know if the café is open is by the signs and menu displayed on the garden trees facing the street. On the day of my visit, the sign in the garden said "Open Today," but the sign at the entrance said "CLOSE." When I timidly opened the door to inquire about their status, the surprised owner reassured me that they were open. The interior is also designed in a white theme, with a grand piano at the back. The different seating options, such as wooden tables and sofa seats, all exude a sense of style and comfort. The overall atmosphere is calming, and the owner is very friendly. [Food] The coffee was made from freshly ground beans, resulting in a rich aroma upon arrival. The initial impression upon tasting was a sweet, fruity flavor, followed by a hint of bitterness and acidity. Even black, the coffee was very smooth and enjoyable. The milk provided had a rich, creamy taste, enhancing the coffee's depth. Additionally, a piece of cinnamon rusk was served, offering a delightful and gentle flavor. [Price/Menu] The TAK! TAK! Blend coffee was priced at 400 yen. The menu includes various coffees, teas (ranging from 400 to 500 yen), 2-3 types of cakes (400 yen, with a 100 yen discount if ordered with a drink), and afternoon tea options. [Overall Impression] The coffee was quite good, but the standout feature of this café is its ambiance. It's a place to enjoy a cup of coffee while being enchanted by the atmosphere. If you're looking to spend a leisurely and elegant moment, this café is worth a visit.

I searched on Tabelog for a shop in a seemingly quiet residential area, and found this place. I decided to try it out for a coffee. I ordered the blend coffee and chiffon cake set for ¥700. The cake was very soft with a simple taste, and the coffee was decent. I was a bit nervous since I was alone. The shop was clean and I didn't ask, but I think it's probably non-smoking. If the cost performance was a bit more affordable, I think it would be more popular, but it's in a residential area. It doesn't seem to attract serious coffee lovers or have a trendy vibe. It feels more like a hobby. If it was nearby, I might stop by occasionally. That's the kind of shop it is.

This cafe is quietly nestled in a peaceful residential area near Shodaiji Temple. They mainly serve coffee and tea, along with 2-3 recommended cakes of the day. The coffee is carefully brewed with a cloth filter, perfect for taking a relaxing break. The cakes are freshly baked every morning, with a fluffy chiffon cake that pairs well with the whipped cream. The rich Gâteau au Chocolat is complemented by raspberry sauce. The cookies that come with the coffee are my son's favorite. This is a place where you can enjoy a leisurely and relaxing time.

Cafe TAK! TAK! @ Chofu City, Tokyo @ Cafe This is the perfect hidden gem cafe! Located halfway between Jindaiji Temple and Koyama University, if you go behind the superstore Top and Matsumoto Kiyoshi, you will find this cafe nestled in a residential area. The building is a stylish and sophisticated white Western-style mansion. The garden is spacious with a part of it being a terrace seating area. The bright interior is all glass, with a counter right at the entrance and a grand piano in the back. There are eight table seats and also counter seats available. The menu consists mainly of coffee and tea, with several varieties of each. There are also a few juice options. The homemade cakes include two types, one of which comes as a complimentary service with your drink. I tried the deep blend coffee, which was brewed meticulously through drip, with a rich aroma and a perfect balance of bitterness, very delicious. The complimentary matcha chiffon cake was fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness. This place truly lives up to its name as a hidden gem, you wouldn't stumble upon it by chance, and even if you go to Top or Matsumoto Kiyoshi, you might not notice it. There is one parking space available in front of the shop, and it seems you can park there.
