I came back again, it's quite irresistible. This time, I tried adding more broth after a long time, but hmm, maybe it's better to stick to the usual as you get older. Next time, I might try without broth. The conclusion is, it was delicious again!

I finally managed to make a reservation for the new coronavirus vaccine at Tachikawa City after researching a lot. It takes over an hour and a half by car from my home. I decided to leave early and have lunch on the way. I aimed for the limited-time and limited-quantity Black Wagyu Beef Bowl at Yoshinoya for 1,290 yen including tax. I decided to have it at this store. I had known about this store located on the downhill side of Shin-Oume Kaido in Musashimurayama City for a while, but it was my first time entering. The store has a parking lot and is divided into four rows. The first two rows near the entrance are counter seats, and the back two rows are table seats, with a wide kitchen in the back right. I sat at the counter seat in the second row and asked the staff if they could make the Black Wagyu Beef Bowl. They said it was possible, but instead of the attached kimchi, it would be pickles. Since my goal was the Black Wagyu Beef Bowl, I had no problem with that and requested it. It was served in just 4 minutes. When I tried it, I was surprised by the texture of the beef, which didn't seem like Black Wagyu beef at all. For this price, this tough meat is unacceptable. It seemed like foreign beef, and I couldn't feel the goodness of Black Wagyu beef. I was disappointed as I ate, but then I found some tender pieces of meat! However, overall, it was 60% tough and 40% tender. The variation in meat quality was too large. I wish all the meat was tender since I paid almost 1,500 yen. The value for money index is 850 yen out of 1,419 yen, which is 0.60. I love Yoshinoya, but this time, I have to say, what a disappointment!

I had breakfast before the visit because I might not be able to have lunch. Due to COVID-19 measures, there are dividers on both sides of the counter seats, and chopstick holders and seasonings are placed in front of the dividers. The water pot for self-serving has been removed. However... it's a bit cramped... "Natto breakfast" Maybe the amount of natto is more than at Matsuya? The size of the egg is normal. The breakfast set said that rice can be increased and refilled for free, so I thought I would have a bowl of natto and a bowl of egg, but there was an announcement for the person next to me about getting a large portion, but not for me, so I wondered if the cheap natto breakfast was not allowed? When I checked the menu on my smartphone, it seemed to be okay, but somehow... I forgot maybe? (-.-;) It's more expensive than Matsuya, so maybe it's included in that price? When I started eating, my back tooth started hurting... Is it because of stiff shoulders or grinding my teeth while sleeping? I chewed slowly and time was running out, so I mixed the natto rice with the egg and turned it into a drink. Thanks for the meal. Next time, I'll eat two bowls with my condition in check!

Congratulations to Yoshinoya, my first dining out experience of 2020! You have been chosen from a multitude of dining options, and as someone who usually eats lunch at the company cafeteria, I must say I am amazed by the incredible value for money. Your delicious food at a price lower than the cafeteria is truly impressive. It must be the result of hard work and dedication. I was moved by the deliciousness of the Negi-tama Gyudon.

During this season, for some reason (probably because of the TV commercials), I always feel like eating Yoshinoya's Gyudon Sukiyaki set. This time, I went for the large size (¥748 excluding tax). The set comes with sukiyaki, rice, egg, and pickles, all on a tray, which makes me feel happy. The presentation seems more colorful compared to the early days. The sukiyaki sauce, surprisingly delicious, complements the tofu, green onions, carrots, and other ingredients that you wouldn't find in a regular beef bowl. The star of the dish, the meat, is the reliable Yoshinoya flavor. Although paying over 800 yen at Yoshinoya may seem a bit expensive, you get to enjoy a luxurious feeling that matches the price.

The popular chain store, which I usually don't post about, has started serving my favorite seasonal dish, the beef sukiyaki set. This time, it's not the regular set, but a family pack with three times the amount of meat. It's not on the menu yet, so maybe it's a secret menu item? I think it will be added to the menu soon. The family pack includes only meat, no tofu, udon, vegetables, etc. The beef sukiyaki family pack costs 748 yen, while the egg is 65 yen and rice is 139 yen, all excluding tax. I put all the meat in a rice bowl for reference in the photo. It's great to be able to enjoy this much food for just over 1,000 yen. By the way, rice and eggs are not included in the family pack, so you have to order them separately.

Tsukimi Ushi-toji set meal for 680 yen at the Musashimurayama branch is indeed very salty. I'm sure the Tsukimi at other branches must be delicious.

The amount of rice has decreased. It might be better to get a large serving for someone with a big appetite. But still, the portion size is kinda meh.

This year, I tried the first eel dish of the season, which was the Barley and Eel Bowl. Even though we don't use air conditioning at home, I managed to stay cool by taking cold baths. With the added power of the eel, I might have been able to avoid summer fatigue.
