Valuable morning service. That's how I felt strengthened. It is located on the basement floor of a building a little way up from the east side of Ikebukuro Station, on Meiji Street near the Surprised Guard. It is considered an "Ikebukuro away," but I can't help but wonder what the definition of "away" used in recent store names is, as it doesn't feel like an "away" at all. It may be a feeling that is only felt by our generation and older. There are no main stores nearby, just like an "ANNEX." Rather than simply using "Annex" or "Branch," the priority seems to be on the sound of the word, using "away." Even though the meanings are completely different. Now, go down the stairs from Meiji Street. If you choose the smoking area (only for heated cigarettes), you will be guided to the back of the shop. It's a space within an "away," even more like an "away." If I say that, it would be a misuse in the opposite sense. But it's such a seat. (laughs) It's a semi-private space with only three two-person table seats. The "Tsubakiya Morning Set" (1,150 yen) - as shown in the photo. It comes with a salad of vegetables, eggs, and ham, Tsubakiya's fresh bread, and a blend of drinks. You can choose to have the bread as it is or toasted, and I asked for it toasted. I chose Tsubakiya Coffee's iced coffee for the drink. I like Tsubakiya Coffee's salad dressing. There seem to be several types, and it seems to change daily, but I always think it's delicious. This day was onion dressing. A dressing that wins with its natural taste. I ate the toast with butter, eggs, and ham on top. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. The background music was a baroque piano melody. It might have a more atmospheric feel with a harpsichord, but for a gentle morning, the sound of the piano is better. You may not have many opportunities to eat with your ears on a daily basis, but in the case of such a restaurant, you are made aware of it. Perhaps it was because I was sitting directly under the speaker in the back seat. The weak winter morning sun was shining through the window, and it reminded me of the famous restaurant "Chancellor" in Arakuraguchi, which was located at the corner of Kawaramachi and Marutamachi. I was reading a book by my senior in college. It was part of Takano Etsuko's "20-year-old Origin" series. I wonder if I still have the strength to fight against something...
