It's a cozy place with a great selection of natural wines and orange wines that pair well with oden. I found myself drinking too much because of the comfortable atmosphere. It's also easy to enjoy drinking alone. I will definitely visit again.

A small shop with a high male ratio, but everyone is drinking wine. The glasses are large and beautiful, and they also pour beer into these glasses. The appetizers before the oden are excellent, with a mix of Japanese and Western flavors. The prices are reasonable, making it the best Japanese-style wine bar. Definitely going back! ^_^

It's been about half a year since I last came here. Since it's gotten cold, I decided to have oden. I enjoyed kikurage mushrooms, tofu, atsuage tofu, lotus root-filled Tanba black chicken meatballs while drinking Lambrusco and white wine. Finally, I had roasted duck with kinpira burdock and red wine. The food was as delicious as ever, but the price of over 7,000 yen for this lineup seems quite expensive. (I'm not sure because I split the bill with a friend who arrived earlier).

This is a popular French restaurant in Gotanda, a sister store of Kobayashi Shokudo. Gotanda is often seen as a bit chaotic, but this place is a clean and stylish restaurant with only counter seating. It seems perfect for a date! They have a wide selection of craft beers and wines. The counter is lined with delicious looking prosciutto, which is a must-order. We chose beer as our drink. The carpaccio and oden (egg, daikon radish, seasonal taro, Kyoto-style rice cake) were delicious. The roast duck was also great. It's interesting that despite being a main dish restaurant, they offer Western-style dishes as well. The carpaccio was especially tasty! The oden was comforting with its flavorful broth, and I appreciated that they neatly served it in separate portions. It was delicious. I went to the second restaurant from Kameido Hormone. I saw a sign outside saying "We have a Lambrusco and prosciutto set" and couldn't resist going in. I love Lambrusco. The domestic Shirakami prosciutto came with unexpected fried torta. It was amazing. With just this dish, I had two glasses of Lambrusco and my excitement level went up. So, I also ordered the seared smoked salmon and Kyoto pickles savory tart, along with some nuts as a snack. I had white, orange, and red wine, all of which were to my taste. The food all looked delicious, so I definitely want to go back to this restaurant!

I had been curious about this restaurant near my home for a while, but finally visited it after being invited by a friend. The interior of the restaurant was luxurious yet had a cozy atmosphere that made it very comfortable. I tried the prosciutto, oden, and wine, and they were all exquisite! Moreover, the female sommelier, who was very friendly being from Kansai region, explained the charms of each wine in an easy-to-understand manner, making the dining experience enjoyable from start to finish. ☺️

A new restaurant opened in Gotanda in 2021. I made a reservation and visited on a weekday night now that they serve alcohol. The place has a minimalistic design with only counter seats, but it doesn't feel cramped and is bright and cozy. The menu is not extensive, offering a few Western-style appetizers and an interesting lineup of oden. I ordered the following appetizers while enjoying craft beer: prosciutto, horse meat tartare, and persimmon caprese. They were all delicious, especially the freshly cut prosciutto with a rich aroma and juicy horse meat tartare. They also have a variety of organic wines by the glass. Feeling good, I ordered oden, including eggs, daikon radish, aburaage, sausages, mushrooms, chikuwa, and konjac. The broth was flavorful and the oden was very tasty. There were both men and women dining alone, giving the place a casual vibe where people come not just for drinks but also for a relaxed dinner. It's a friendly wine bar that can also be used as a dining hall.

Located in Higashi-Gotanda, "Kobayashi-ya" is situated in front of "Imotarou". This place used to be a restaurant called "Awa-nista". I saw a sign for lunch service, so I decided to go in. The interior has an atmosphere that would be appealing to female customers. I sat at the counter and looked through the menu. I ordered the "Fukuoka Prefecture-produced Spicy Takana Pepperoncino". While waiting, I observed the cooking process. I noticed that there were female customers coming in for takeout, so it seems to be popular among women. My lunch was served on a tray. The portion was small but delicious. The dessert was also tasty. Kobayashi-ya is said to be affiliated with "Kobayashi Shokudo" located along the Yamanote Line tracks. I would like to visit Kobayashi Shokudo as well. Thank you for the meal.

I visited Kobayashiya, a newly opened restaurant in Higashi-Gotanda. I learned a lot about how to bring out the taste of the ingredients and what happens when you do. They don't add unnecessary things or overdo it, but the flavors are strong. I hope people can try oden without the common sense of it. I recommend trying it with your favorite ingredients. Unfortunately, I couldn't drink alcohol this time due to the self-restraint period. I will visit again after the self-restraint period is over. Thank you for the meal.

Counter-only restaurant in Gotanda. At night, it seems to be a place for drinks and oden. Opened in January 2021, the interior is clean and shiny. The staff consists of two young men. It is affiliated with the French restaurant "Kobayashi Shokudo". They offer four lunch options. The menu on the day I visited included the following four options with prices including tax: Seafood bowl for 1760 yen, Steak bowl for 1760 yen, Today's pasta for 1980 yen (Sea urchin peperoncino), Weekly set meal for 1430 yen (Simmered hamburger). The four menu options have different directions, making it difficult to choose. I ordered the Seafood bowl for 1760 yen. It comes with four small side dishes and a soup. They cut the seafood bowl ingredients with a knife after the order is placed. The process was very meticulous. According to the menu, they use fresh fish directly sent from Kagoshima. The seafood bowl was very elegant, with four mainly white fish varieties. The sashimi was all of high quality. The small side dishes, including Nanban-zuke, were also well-prepared. The soup had a weak broth and didn't quite hit the spot for me. I entered the restaurant around 11:40 am and until I left at around 12:10 pm, no other customers came in. With the four different lunch options having varying directions, it seems difficult to appeal to customers. I was left wondering what this restaurant is really good at. Also, the prices are a bit on the high side. Especially considering the fresh white fish, I understand that it can be costly. They may need to consider using slightly cheaper fish to lower the prices a bit, or else it might be tough.

On Wednesday afternoon, I visited a newly opened restaurant called "Kobayashi-ya." It seems to be a sister store of "Kobayashi Shokudo." The interior of the restaurant had a clean and cozy feel with a counter seating only. I checked the menu and found that the prices were a bit on the higher side. After some consideration, I decided to order the "Simmered Hamburg Steak" for 1430 yen. The dish arrived shortly after I placed my order. The taste was overall gentle and healthy. I enjoyed it and would like to try the evening menu at Kobayashi-ya next time.

The newly opened oden restaurant, a sister shop of Kobayashi Shokudo. I went for lunch. The exterior of the shop is simple, almost missed it at first glance haha. There is just a small signboard outside. The shop opens at 11:30. I was the first customer and entered the clean and shiny interior. There are about 8 seats at the counter. They have a wide space with a kitchen that seems to be operated by two people. The lunch menu offers 4 options, with pasta and set meals changing daily. Today's pasta - ¥1200 Chicken Nanban Set Meal - ¥1300 Seafood Bowl - ¥1600 Steak Bowl - ¥1800 The prices are quite high. I was tempted by the steak, but I chose the seafood bowl. The service was not very efficient yet, but my order arrived in 7-8 minutes. The side dishes were plentiful, and the presentation was beautiful. The staff explained each dish. There were 4 side dishes: cut wakame seaweed pickles, simmered kelp, simmered pumpkin. All were well-prepared and delicious. Especially the pickles, I wanted more of them, they were crunchy. This was followed by a soup. The main seafood bowl was served on a flat plate, not in a bowl. There were 4 types of sashimi: tuna, swordfish, sea bream with kelp, horse mackerel. The quality was amazing. The rice portion was a bit small, and it seemed to be red vinegar rice. It felt more like eating sashimi than a seafood bowl. The quality of the ingredients justified the price. The only downside was that they used commercial wasabi instead of fresh wasabi. With such high-quality sashimi, I wanted fresh wasabi. The staff were friendly and easy to talk to, making the experience enjoyable. Kobayashi Shokudo is more Western, while this place seems to have a more Japanese vibe. I would like to try the steak bowl next time. I'm also curious about their oden for dinner.

Sister restaurant of Kobayashi Shokudo opened on the site of Pao Nista. I was curious about it even before it opened. It seems like their specialty is oden. I checked the evening menu and it was surprisingly reasonable, so I decided to stop by. The interior of the restaurant is clean as it has just opened. Beer is 900 yen, sour is 800 yen. Considering the atmosphere, location, and service of the restaurant, the prices are quite high. I understand that craft beer is expensive, but they only have one type of beer, and the prices are more like those of a small izakaya. If you order food and drinks normally, it could end up being quite pricey. The dishes were served in a random order and were small in portion. They seem to be particular about the ingredients, but I still felt that it was expensive. The oden also took a while to arrive, so I decided to go to a different place for another drink. I will upload the menu for reference.

Polite cooking. It was delicious. The set meal was 1600 yen, a little pricey, but worth it. A bit more volume would make men more satisfied. *Even women might feel it's a bit lacking.

It seems like a sister restaurant to the famous Kobayashi Shokudo in Gotanda. The concept of combining oden and wine is interesting, and each dish is carefully made (although the portion size may be a bit small). The atmosphere of the restaurant is great for a casual drink. The only downside is the cost performance. When you can have a satisfying meal for 3000 yen at a nearby restaurant, it's hard to justify paying three times the price here. Of course, I understand that the drinks, food, and concept are different, but customers can be quite critical. If they could make it a bit more casual and enjoyable, they would definitely attract more customers.

The restaurant is compact but has flowers inside, creating a nice atmosphere. I had lunch there and it seemed a bit pricey for the portion, but they seem to use quality ingredients. The main dish was a hamburger. The side dishes included simmered kelp, giving a healthy impression.
