I wanted to eat a set meal near Daimon Station, so I went to this restaurant with "shokudo" in its name. I was planning to have ginger pork, but I was intrigued by the appearance of the pork belly with fried egg, so I chose that instead! I thought it was just regular pork belly, but it turned out to be bacon. It was like bacon and eggs! The bacon with its fragrant aroma paired well with the egg, making the rice go down easily. I visited the restaurant on a weekday night. I was looking for a place near Hamamatsucho Station around 10 p.m. after finishing work and found this place. I have been to the Tamachi branch a few times, so I felt comfortable entering. Outside the restaurant: Located just a short walk from Daimon Station. It's about a 3-minute walk from Hamamatsucho. It's easy to find as it's along a main street. Inside the restaurant: It was past 10 p.m. but there were about half the seats occupied by salarymen. There are around 30 seats at the long counter. I found a seat towards the back since it was empty. Food: I ordered the Salmon Harasu set meal and two side dishes, tofu and green beans with sesame dressing. The side dishes were only 60 yen each, which is very cheap. The total came to 1100 yen with change. The salmon was thin but had a nice oily texture and was very delicious. It tasted refreshing with grated radish and soy sauce. The rice was also good. The green beans were simply delicious. Overall: They are open late, which is very convenient. The side dishes are affordable, so on days when I work late, I will definitely be coming back here many times.

The sardines were well grilled and simple but delicious. The total bill was 660 yen. The atmosphere was not really for relaxing or for groups, but considering the current high prices, this place offers super high cost performance. While the set I had this time was exceptionally cheap, most other sets are also under 1000 yen. If you want to save money, this is the place to go. They also accept PayPay, and I was able to get a 20% discount through the Minato Ward support campaign.

I really love Shinpachi Shokudo. I usually order from Demae-can. I don't use Uber Eats, I use Demae-can. I have been to Shinjuku before, but I visited the Daimon store for lunch on my way back from Shiodome for some errands. It's just a short walk from Daimon Station. The main seating is at the counter. You order using a tablet. I usually order either grilled Pacific saury or dried mackerel from Demae-can. Both are really delicious. They are so good that I think they are the most delicious in the world. The fatty texture, the juiciness, it goes really well with rice. By the way, beer is only 150 yen no matter how many you order. I thought they might be really small, but they come in proper beer mugs for 150 yen! Cheaper than convenience stores! Amazing. This time, I ordered the grilled Pacific saury. Oh, freshly grilled is really delicious as expected! Grilled fish is the most delicious in the world, is it just me thinking that... Oh, Shinpachi Shokudo is the best. I hope they open more stores! I ordered the red fish kasuzuke set meal with seaweed and yacco on the side. The portion of red fish was a bit small. The rice was just okay. The tea cup smelled a bit fishy. The cheapest set meal with sardines was 570 yen. Next time, I think I'll try it with a side dish and a bowl of rice topped with raw egg.
