I revisited a yakitori restaurant in Shibuya located on Miyamasaka. It is in the basement of a building, and the spacious Japanese-style atmosphere is quite calming and unexpected for Shibuya. I first visited alone, but I brought a friend with me on a previous visit, and they really liked it, so today I am planning to get takeout for them. However, I am going to enjoy my order there (laughs). While placing the takeout order, my own order includes the following: Draft beer (Sapporo) x3 - 650 yen each Vegetable sticks - 450 yen Motsu nabe (offal stew) - 580 yen Light course (6 types of yakitori) - 1,180 yen Asparagus bacon wrap - 350 yen The light course includes the following 6 skewers: thigh, negima (chicken thigh with green onion), tsukune (chicken meatball), liver, harami (skirt meat), and sunagimo (gizzard). The sunagimo is marinated in shishito pepper sauce. The sauce here is really to my liking. The yakitori grilled over charcoal is fragrant, flavorful, and the fatty parts are sweet and very delicious. I have ordered the light course on all three visits. It's a perfect selection of 6 skewers for me, and I don't have to specify each individual skewer, just saying "light course" is enough, which is convenient. There is also an 8-skewer course available, but when I checked the contents, it was the light course plus tebasaki (chicken wings) and ginnan (ginkgo nuts). Well, ginnan aside, I don't like tebasaki, so the light course is perfect for me. Somehow, each visit surpasses the previous one in terms of deliciousness. I really love this yakitori. While enjoying one skewer at a time at a fancy yakitori restaurant is nice, indulging in a plateful of yakitori at a casual place like this is also enjoyable. The motsu nabe (offal stew) was also delicious, truly impressive. The staff are not particularly outstanding, but the veteran, well-timed service makes for a stress-free and comfortable experience. Whether dining alone at the counter or with a group enjoying a large plate of yakitori, this restaurant's spacious layout makes it a great option. Knowing about this yakitori place in Shibuya, where only adults seem to visit, could come in handy.

I stopped by casually after playing table tennis. I was interested in the nearby cod roe pasta, but there was a long line, so I came here instead. I was prepared for a decent price for lunch in Shibuya, but the parent and child rice bowl in the photo was just under 1000 yen, which was reasonable. It's perfect for replenishing protein after exercise. If I play table tennis in Shibuya again, I might stop by.

I tried entering Torigin, a yakitori restaurant located underground on the way to Shibuya Miyamasuzaka. The building may not be very nice, but the interior of the restaurant was very clean. We ordered a yakitori light set for five people, hiyayakko (cold tofu), and forgot to take pictures of the rest, but we also ordered crab kamameshi, tori kamameshi, and gomoku kamameshi. The taste was delicious, just like the Ginza branch that I always go to.

Solo lunch! I went at a non-peak time, so I was able to be seated smoothly. The chicken rice pot had a rich broth and even a delicious crispy bottom. It takes about 15 minutes to cook, but I didn't mind at all. The minced chicken was large and had a good chicken flavor, very tasty! There were also some great value lunch menu options, but this time I was in the mood for pot rice, so I'll try the lunch menu next time. The dinner menu prices were also more affordable than I expected. Charcoal-grilled chicken is surely delicious, so I'll challenge that next time too!

"Torigin Shibuya" in Shibuya is a yakitori restaurant with a branch in Ginza as well. They offer great value for dishes like yakitori-don and oyakodon. It's a great place to enjoy chicken dishes. I usually go for the yakitori-don, but I'm interested in trying their kamameshi next time. The fact that it's close to Shibuya Hikarie is also a plus.

Recently, work has been busy and it's difficult to leave at regular time on weekdays. I suggested to my friends around 14:00, "How about today?" and we decided to go to a yakitori restaurant on Miyamasuzaka. We had been there once before but didn't feel very hungry, so we only had a few dishes. Looking back at my previous review, it was more like a personal diary with a brief mention of the taste and more focus on the atmosphere of the restaurant. This restaurant is a favorite of one of my followers, and I always find their recommendations helpful. We arrived on a Wednesday before 7:00 PM without a reservation. The restaurant was not too crowded yet. We decided to share the simmered tripe and the Enjoy Course (8 types of yakitori). The simmered tripe was delicious and exactly what we expected. It was a common dish but very satisfying. We also ordered some shochu with hot water for drinks. The yakitori looked appetizing with vibrant colors, and they tasted as good as they looked. The sauce on the yakitori was delicious, and the texture was perfect. We also tried the salt-based dishes, and they were equally tasty. The course with 8 types of yakitori was just right for two people. We also ordered some fried tofu and more drinks. The fried tofu was warm and had a gentle, sweet flavor. It was exactly what we were craving. Finally, we ordered the chicken rice and chicken soup, which were both comforting and flavorful. Overall, all the dishes we ordered met our expectations and had a classic, reliable taste. The restaurant was starting to fill up by the time we left, and I think the timing of our visit was just right. We always leave early, so it worked out well for us. I noticed that they also serve lunch, so I look forward to trying that next time. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Bird Gin "Yakitori Donburi" for 1,100 yen. Located a 2-minute walk from Shibuya Station B4 exit. This dish features juicy chicken thigh meat and plump tsukune (chicken meatballs) elegantly placed on a bed of rice. Enjoy the smoky flavor from the charcoal grill while devouring the rice soaked in sauce. The cute trio of quail adds a delightful touch. Comes with a rich miso soup, a side of glass noodles, and pickles.

The restaurant has a slightly unfriendly atmosphere but is easy to enter even at night. It is like a combination of an izakaya and a family restaurant. The yakitori is a bit light in flavor, but you can taste the deliciousness of the meat itself, making it very tasty! The drink selection is also abundant and enjoyable. It's a good restaurant.

Visited Torigin Shibuya for the first time. I arrived just after 12 PM and was able to get in without waiting in line, but the spacious restaurant was already full. I sat at the counter in front of the grill since I was dining alone, with two other solo female customers on either side. I ordered the chicken bowl with a small portion of rice. When the chicken bowl arrived, it was huge! Despite ordering less rice, I finished it all in no time. The taste of this long-established restaurant is truly unbeatable. The flavor of the sauce they add is irreplaceable. It was a delicious lunch, and I feel like I'll want to eat here again. Thank you for the meal!

They offer about 8 types of freshly cooked Kamameshi, all of which look delicious! I'm curious about the salmon and mentaiko Kamameshi. The yakitori uses high-quality domestic young chicken and is grilled over binchotan charcoal, resulting in a fragrant, moist, and delicious meat! In particular, the Tebasaki Yakitori here is my personal favorite for its perfect cooking, tender and moist meat that pairs well with salt. The clean and "wa" style interior exudes a pleasant atmosphere, making it a recommended spot for dates or business dinners! ✌️

I visited for lunch. It wasn't crowded, but quite busy. I ordered the yakitori bowl from the lunch menu. The yakitori was elegantly sweet and light, quite delicious but left me wanting more. It might be better for a night out drinking. I could see myself coming back for dinner next time.

I wonder if it used to be delicious in the past? The yakitori was decent, but the main dish of kama-meshi was not tasty. The oysters had a strong smell and were unbearable to eat. The chicken and vegetable stir-fry was lacking in shrimp, probably due to the recent increase in shrimp prices. The staff were very nice, but I don't think I'll come back again. Thank you for the meal. Even the takeout option didn't seem appealing to me.

I finished shopping in Shibaura and feeling tired... I decided to move to Shibuya, even though I'm not really hungry yet. In the past, I would have gone to play slots, but I quit playing slots a long time ago, except for the old man who made a living as a professional slot player for 10 years. So, what should I do now? Take a break at a tea shop or just wander around aimlessly? Oh, really? In that case, let's just go even though it's early! I have a place in mind. I registered at a restaurant based on a review from one of my followers. Their second review of this restaurant has been selected as a featured review by the restaurant, so if you want to know more about the place, check that out! That's it! Wait, what is this? I wanted to go in a relaxed mood, but for now, let's just go and see how it is. According to the review, the second visit is better than the first, so it seems the more you go, the more you like it. It's a little after 5 p.m. on Sunday. The restaurant is located on the basement floor of an older mixed-use building. When I entered, I found a spacious and calming space with a wood-based design. There were three groups of customers already there. It seems quite lively. I ordered two draft beers and a bottle of beer, and also cold tomato and deep-fried eggplant. Soon, the beers and appetizers arrived. I quickly drank the beer and felt relieved (although my doctor told me not to drink too quickly). The grated radish appetizer was much appreciated. The asparagus and burdock on the small plate were also good. It's nice when the appetizers are good. While enjoying my drinks, we had our usual meaningless conversations. When the appetizers and beer were finished, the cold tomato dish arrived. I ordered another bottle of beer! Along with the bottle of beer, the deep-fried eggplant was served. There were three pieces, which was a nice surprise. The slightly sweet taste was very delicious. As I was relaxing, the staff brought a platter of grilled chicken. I hadn't ordered it yet, but they quickly took it back saying it was a mistake, but the lingering aroma of the grilled chicken was still there. How are you feeling in terms of hunger? Let's just have a little bit. I'll have the light course, and also two lemon sours and one oolong highball. Here it comes. The light course includes six pieces of grilled chicken (check the photo for details). It's here! I know it's bad manners, but I took the chicken off the skewers to share. (Sorry about that) Delicious! It's juicy, with a nice texture, and the sauce is tasty. It's a classic flavor. When asked which is better between this place and the grilled chicken restaurant I usually go to in Shibuya, I said I prefer this place because the other place doesn't have enough space to stretch my legs. You're quite the old man, huh? I unexpectedly heard this feedback, so this restaurant might become a regular spot for grilled chicken for me (laughs). Indeed, space and comfort are important. In that aspect, this place is great. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing. I came here in a state of being hungry after work, enjoyed the grilled chicken, the rice cooked in a pot, and finished it off perfectly. This restaurant is definitely one I would like to visit again. Looking at other reviews, it seems like their lunch is also highly recommended. Thank you for the delicious meal! I found a great restaurant. Thank you!

I had heard that yakitori was really delicious, so I decided to stop by this place for my second meal. Unfortunately, they were out of tsukune and other skewers I wanted to try because a group had already ordered them. It was a shame. The yakitori here was delicious and reasonably priced, especially considering the great location in Shibuya. The staff were friendly and made me feel like a regular customer. One thing I really liked was that the smoke from the grill didn't reach the seating area, so my clothes didn't smell like smoke afterwards. The yakitori was moist and cooked perfectly, showcasing the skill of the chef. The appetizer was also tasty, and I wished I could have tried more dishes. They had a variety of side dishes and I'm thinking of trying the kamameshi next time. I regret not making this place my first stop. If this restaurant was closer to my place, I would definitely become a regular. Even the tea at the end was delicious.

Bird Gin offers kamameshi and yakitori. Located a 2-minute walk from Shibuya Station, they are open from 11:30 to 22:00. It has been about 10 years since my last visit. ◆ Food ◆ [Yakitori Set (2 skewers): Yakitori sauce, Yakitori salt] 360 yen including tax [Grilled scissors with sauce] 210 yen including tax [Grilled tsukune with sauce] 210 yen including tax Overall, the food is good, but it seems like the items are pre-cooked, so they are a bit lukewarm. [Five-ingredient kamameshi] 1,300 yen including tax The taste is not bad, but the ingredients are minimal and disappointing. ◆ Atmosphere & Service ◆ Surprisingly spacious atmosphere. The service is not bad, but there are frequent mistakes in orders. ◆ Summary ◆ There were mix-ups with the yakitori orders, with the wrong skewers being brought out and the timing of the dishes being off. It was a bit chaotic (laughs). Other issues as well... So, it's a place where "the taste is not bad."

I ordered the Bamboo Shoot Kamameshi for 1,050 yen, along with the Chicken Kamameshi for 1,050 yen, the Gomoku Kamameshi for 1,300 yen, and a beer for 650 yen. Alcohol orders come with a 390 yen appetizer. This place only serves Kamameshi as individual dishes, no sets. There are no photos of the soup or salad so it's hard to tell if they are good or not. The Kamameshi portions are usually large, so I decided to skip ordering anything else. However, I kind of regret not getting the soup. It would have been nice to have it. Maybe it's a way to make the prices seem lower? Also, I wish they would make the Kamameshi less sticky so that it's easier to eat until the last grain. Other Kamameshi I've had weren't as messy. It's a shame and it highlights food waste and the difficulty of washing dishes. Despite these issues, the food was delicious and I would like to go back again if I have the chance.

- Yakitori bowl (served with soup, side dish, and pickles) This simple soup with just green onions floating on top is seriously delicious. I had to post about it to convey how tasty this soup is! The soup, which is also served as a complimentary dish during lunch, is the same as the chicken soup on the regular menu, according to the manager. As a chicken specialty restaurant, they really know how to bring out the best flavors of the chicken. The main dish, the yakitori bowl, comes with a generous portion of two yakitori skewers, two tsukune meatballs, three quail eggs, green onions, shishito peppers, and shiitake mushrooms. So delicious! Personally, I prefer my rice with more sauce, so I wish there was a bit more broth. I apologize for the blurry side dish photo. On this day, it was stir-fried burdock root and carrots, and cabbage and cucumber pickles. I also love these kind and gentle side dishes.

Instagram account @tokyo.tube. I don't really want to share this, but I have to! High quality for the price! Really delicious! Let me introduce you to a recommended restaurant. "Torigin" has 12 branches in Tokyo. I have been eating here with my family since I was a child. Torigin opened in Ginza shortly after the war, offering "kamameshi" and "yakitori". At that time, there were no restaurants in Ginza offering kamameshi, and Torigin was the first to do so. When it comes to kamameshi, it's "Torigin" for us. Kamameshi is cooked from raw rice after the order is received. This has been their commitment since the beginning. The delicious and fluffy kamameshi cooked in a special pot is unique to this place. Torigin in Shibuya has been loved for years. Keep up the good work in Shibuya, don't let the pandemic defeat you!

Located in the basement of a building midway up Shibuya Miyamasuzaka, Torigin is a restaurant that used to serve delicious yakitori sets at a great value, which I often enjoyed for lunch. Suddenly craving yakitori and kamameshi, I decided to visit. The restaurant now closes at 9 pm with last orders at 8 pm starting from April 1st. I called ahead just to be safe and arrived at 6:30 pm. There was only one other group of customers, which was lucky for us but seemed tough for the restaurant. The good points of this restaurant are: 1) The spacious interior with plenty of room for people to move around. 2) The affordable yakitori, priced at only 180 yen per skewer. Most trendy yakitori places would charge around 300 yen per skewer. 3) The delicious kamameshi, which takes about 20 minutes to cook after ordering. It's freshly cooked and sometimes even has a crispy bottom, making it a delightful experience. Since I had too much sake last night, I opted for a highball this time. I ordered the "Enjoy Course" with 8 assorted yakitori skewers and simmered motsu, followed by a satisfying finale of gomoku kamameshi and akadashi. It was a long time since I enjoyed the taste of rice this much.

The interior of the store is spacious and very clean. Despite being affordable, the atmosphere is welcoming and the service is friendly. Each skewer of yakitori was delicious. I am watching my sugar intake, so I passed on the rice dish, but I look forward to trying the variety of options next time.

Located just a 3-minute walk from Shibuya, this underground izakaya was bustling despite COVID concerns, with both dine-in and takeout options available. I tried the Yakitori Donburi, but they were out of quail eggs so I switched to regular Yakitori. Please note that the photo may look different from usual. The Yakitori made with chicken breast was refreshing, and the Tsukune was juicy with plenty of green onions. Despite the great location, the prices were very reasonable, thanks to its long-standing reputation. The chicken soup and pickles were also excellent.
