The interior was more like a bar than a sushi restaurant, with a dimly lit atmosphere. However, despite the shady interior, they used Kutani ware and stylish tableware. The sushi was delicious, with warm red vinegar rice and fresh toppings that were well-maintained. This hidden gem is definitely worth a visit when drinking in Gotanda.

Here are the dishes we ordered this time: - Assorted 12-piece sushi x2 - Squid and mentaiko salad - 3 types of sake Even though it was our third visit, we devoured the food quickly, which speaks to the quality of the dishes! We also drank a lot of sake and ended up getting properly drunk. I've been here many times, but I never get tired of it!

When you pass through the door that looks like a regular apartment, you are suddenly transported into a stylish space. The sushi and appetizers are reasonably priced, but incredibly delicious! While there are many sushi izakaya-style restaurants out there, this one offers a higher level of tastiness. The creative dishes were also very tasty. Here's what I ordered: Draft beer ¥600, Sake (Imayotsukasa) ¥1100, Bonito tataki with seasoned condiments ¥500, Live scallop with seasoned condiments ¥600, Unrolled sushi roll ¥800, Seared crab miso ¥600, Chef's choice sushi 8 pieces ¥1900, Total ¥6100. The sushi was well-made, and all the appetizers were delicious. The bonito tataki with seasoned condiments was particularly good. The cost performance is great, and they are open until morning, so it's also a good place to end your night.

Sushi Bar Uo Uo Cozy in Gotanda is open until 4 am. It's not a flashy bar like you see in pictures, but a chic and calm space where you can enjoy sushi late at night (lol). We started with some quick appetizers, like the shark heart sashimi. It was my first time trying it, and it was perfect for a summer appetizer! The scallop with butter and seaweed topping had a subtle buttery aroma, and the chewy scallop and crispy seaweed were a great combination. For nigiri, we had conger eel, sea bream, ark shell, scallop, green onion, and salmon. They were all seasoned and ready to eat, with fresh ingredients. We finished with a fatty tuna roll. I'm sorry for eating before taking a picture... The squid mentaiko was delicious. It felt more like an izakaya where you can also eat sushi rather than a traditional sushi restaurant. The atmosphere was nice. It's not authentic, but I think this style is also good. However, if I want to eat sushi, I wouldn't choose to come here. I would go to places like Umataro instead.

It's near Freshness Burger, turn left, but be aware that there is no sign so it might be a bit tricky to find. The cozy atmosphere of the place is probably due to the friendly nature of the people at COZY. Regular customers from the Meguro Shinbashi era as well as new regulars from Gotanda seem to already love the place. Even if it's your first time, I think you'll quickly feel at home in this place. Oh, and the sushi is delicious too! That's important. The recommended sushi of the day, as well as the classic options, are all tasty. My favorite is the turban shell! The texture is unlike any other, thick and crunchy, and sweet! You can eat 10 of them! Also, make sure to order the "bakudan" side menu item. The sake menu is extensive and they rotate options, so you won't get bored of coming back. The prices are so low that it's worrying... I think they could raise them a bit. The total bill for what I ordered last time was 11,500 yen for 2 people! Snacks: bakudan, bonito tataki, seared crab Sushi: sushi platter with 8 varieties, added 2 turban shells, 1 sea urchin, 1 scallop, 2 engawa, Toro takkyu maki (for some reason they call it that) Drinks: beer, highball, Sanuki Cloudy, Hyakurakumon, Hoho Midori, Manotsuru, and... Lately, everywhere I go, it's all about courses or omakase, so it's fun to be able to order your favorite sushi. The quality of the ingredients may not be top-notch, but it's just right for everyday use. A good place when you want to eat sushi quickly.

On Friday night, I was invited by a friend for the second time around 11 pm. Both the counter and table seats were full, so I stood and drank for a while. There were couples and groups of the same gender among the customers. We had sushi a la carte, nori rolls, bonito sashimi, and four ginger highballs for a total of 4500 yen. It was delicious. The Gotanda branch is spacious with two table seats, around 8 counter seats, and three standing tables. There were a few female customers as well. Since the opening, I have been taken to this restaurant by chance several times. I think it was always on weekday evenings. I love this place because you can eat delicious sushi and the grapefruit sour tastes like icebox, bringing back nostalgic feelings. It's great to have a place with delicious drinks. And it's located just a 1-minute walk from my office, which was a surprise at first because it's so close. The neon lights at the entrance are amazing. The glasses are incredibly cute. And the sushi is delicious. I had never tried green onions before, but I had my green onion debut here. It was so delicious, I was impressed. Also, the tuna roll is delicious. When I get drunk, I can't resist the sweet sauce and the thin rolls. And when I get tipsy, I keep ordering shrimp and eating them, but they always serve me without a single unpleasant look. They are so kind. The shrimp is big and delicious. The drinks are delicious, and I can drink for a long time without getting a headache, so it's a great place for someone like me who is not good with alcohol. The staff are all kind, so if you live near Gotanda but haven't been there, I recommend you to try it out. And definitely try the grapefruit sour that reminds me of the icebox. This place is known for offering sushi a la carte in a casual setting, and I had been curious about it after seeing it featured in a magazine. The photos show eel, shrimp, fatty tuna, and kanpachi. I discovered a fantastic sushi izakaya in Gotanda that I highly recommend! They serve delicious fish appetizers and sushi while you drink, and they are open late at night and on Sundays, which is very convenient. I liked it so much that I visited two Sundays in a row. I had the bonito salt Tataki with condiments, edamame, bakudan (spicy tuna), and eggplant soaked in sauce, followed by some sushi. It's great to drink while watching the food being prepared at the counter! The sushi may take a bit of time, so it might be a good idea to try the omakase sushi. Overall, it's a great restaurant and I definitely want to go back!

I finally got to go to this place I've been curious about for a while! The sushi and seafood were all delicious and amazing! The restaurant had a bar-style atmosphere which was a new experience. The location of the restaurant might be a bit hard to find.
